WoW:Vanilla is only using one thread, and it hammers down CPUs pretty hard. Unless your seriously overclock your CPU, then you will keep having issues. A 2500k at stock does not have enough single thread performance to run WoW without issues, especially not during 40 man raids and in cities where there are hundreds of toons. We don't care how many FPS you get when you are alone out in the world, whether it is 144 FPS or 1444 FPS. You need to realize that you sound like a moron when you say that you get 144 FPS out there in the world when you are alone, because WoW is not a fast-paced FPS game and therefore you do not benefit from 144 FPS or 200 FPS.

Overclock your 2500k to 4.5 GHz and tell us if you still have issues.

The server does not restore gold lost due to hacking. Account security is your responsibility, so if you get hacked, you don't get anything back.

Official Blizzard Legacy servers are not even a thing. And they are not a thing primarily because Blizzard are not interested in producing them. Therefore, discussing Official Blizzard Legacy servers is a waste of time, pretty much like discussing the existence of the Sasquatch.

IMO, Viper & Co. got paid/bribed behind the scenes by persons acting on behalf of Blizzard Entertainment in order to pull the rug from under Elysium's feet. Blizzard did this because the project showed a lot of promise and they estimated that later on, and with the addition of Nostalrius' TBC server, the project would be an enormous success which would give Blizzard a PR nightmare. It was going to be Nostalrius Original all over again for Blizzard only the impact it would have would have been 10 times larger., Then, Viper tried to come up with a story that sounded even remotely plausible in order to attempt to deceive at least the halfwits within the Nostalrius/Elysium Community. He failed. Not even the idiots believe him. What I'd do at this stage is copy Nostalrius' core, relabel it, and continue to run it under a different name. I have a rig with a 6th generation overclockable desktop Intel processor, namely i5-6600k. I never had a problem in the first place and I still don't have a problem now. Get a rig with an overclockable Intel 2nd generation processor (SANDY BRIDGE i5-2500k/2600k) or later and overclock it to 4.5 GHz or more if you don't want to have any performance issues.

I say perma ban all these morons who claim to have been hacked. Every server is already full of players anyway. Perma banning them with no chance of appeal is the only way these morons will start taking account security seriously.

They are not supposed to run at 2.5 GHz In order for the game to play properly, one of the 4 threads should run permanently at 3.60 GHz
