Well "stuttering" means that your FPS drops in the 20's or less (or even 1 FPS) and then climbs back up to 60 for some reason. This CPU is adequate for WoW Vanilla. Check to see if the CPU turboes normally. It sounds like your CPU is thermal throttling or not truboing. Check to see if your CPU is overheating and disable power saving features so that your CPU can run at max turbo frequency at all times.

Post your CPU make and model and overclock if any.

I have got a Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming premium. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5920#kf I have also got an ACER PREDATOR X34 GSYNC 34 INCH 3440X1440 Gaming Monitor. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-x34-series I am playing the game at 6880X2880 DSR (3440X1440 4X upscaled) Screenshot: http://imgur.com/eRhQZhP I didn't change anything in the settings. It worked immediately like "plug and play". 3440X1440 is 21:9 ratio too and it plays just fine.

You are wrong. If your CPU isn't throttling, then the only reasonable explanation is that your issue is caused by VSYNC. You should disable it and use 3rd party tools to control FPS such as EVGA precision. Also, note that laptops are not meant for gaming and they are almost always subpar compared to dedicated desktop gaming rigs.

Thermal throttling due to CPU overheating. VSYNC also tends to cause stuttering bc your FPS momentarily drops in the 30's and then climbs back up. Check to see which is the problem.

i7-6600K [email protected] GHz Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Premium 16 GB RAM ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Samsung 840 EVO SSD ACER PREDATOR X34, 34'' 3440X1440 GSYNC monitor I am playing at 6880X2880 resolution (3440X1440 upscaled 4X) at 100 FPS. I get zero lag and no stuttering. I used to get no lag and no stuttering either when I played at 60 FPS withy VSYNC ON. If you are lagging, the only thing that's to blame is your CPU.

Tbh, I think the server is better off without "players" like you. All you are interested in is griefing.

BTW, you can see below an HWINFO32 summary of the system I ran WoW Vanilla on back in 2005. It's a laptop and it still works: http://imgur.com/Y9oQ6xW

It depends what kind of CPU you have. Post here your CPU make and model. I play at 6880X2880 DSR resolution, 4 times upscaled my native 3440X1440 resolution, and my 6600k Skylake dips below 60 FPS in 40 man raids and in very crowded areas. I refuse to believe you know much about computers, if you did you'd know that: 1. You could not run WoW on a Pentium III. 2. Our Pentium 4's and AMD Athlons back in the day were very heavily overclocked in order to cope with WoW. You did not notice the issue before b/c you weren't paying attention and b/c you don't run the game with the FPS counter enabled.

Actually, I am 42 years old and I have been playing WoW since 2005 on a Pentium 4 Northwood 3.06 GHz Single Core CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce 4 460 Go 64 Mb AGP GPU. I am an computer expert, and I have played WoW over the years on several different platforms including, but not limited to, an Intel Core 2 Extreme [email protected] GHz Yorkfield CPU, an Haswell i7-4770k and a Skylake 6600k CPU. I am pretty sure that your CPU is the culprit here. The other guy has no clue what he is saying.
-
I am pretty sure your CPU isn't fine, because if it was fine you'd get no stuttering and no FPS drops like the rest of us. To fix this, you need to OC it. Of course this issue has happened before but you were not paying attention and/or you hadn't been in a very crowded area.
-
Overclock your CPU. If you have an AMD CPU or a non-overclockable CPU, you have my condolences.

Post your former password here. You have changed it, right? Post it here.

Well, suffice to say, I have been playing WoW for 12 years now, both on Blizzard retail servers as well as four or five different private servers and I have never, ever been hacked. There are two kinds of people that get hacked, one kind buys powerlevelling services or BG services from the Chinese (and thus share their account details) and the other kind simply does not care at all about account security and/or keeping their PC disinfected.

	1. This is not at all stupid. It is, on the contrary, a very wise move on the part of the administration. 2. Because it permanently motivates both the "victim" as well as other players to get really serious with account security. 3. Perma ban works just fine and thus no better workflow is required. If you are lazy, retarded or simply don't give a rat's arse about your account security, you WILL get your account perma-banned. Period.

Sounds like they are pwning anti-afk botters hard. :-)

The OP is a person that speaks only Slavic but his Windows installation is in English. Obviously he did not know that he could install Windows translated to a variety of Slavic languages and thus he could even choose his own particular Slavic language. ... What can you say to such a person? It is a waste of time, IMO. He needs to be taken care of by a Slavic speaker.

Disable VPN connections to server...Erjh8765 replied to Worldstar's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions 1. I have been playing WoW since 2005. I have played on Retail servers as well as 4 or 5 different private servers. Can you explain to me why I have never been banned in abt 12 years of playing WoW? 2. I support the server's decision to perma-ban ppl who claim to have been hacked. It is, IMO, the only way to seriously motivate ppl to take account security seriously. Anyone who has been an administrator, a manager or served many years in the military, will tell you that people are lazy and to make them do anything one has to motivate them. Perma banning your account after being "compromised" is a pretty good way of going about it. The saying goes "Once bitten, twice shy". The next time someone who has had his main account banned starts a new account, I can assure you they will take account security very bloody seriously thus becoming a part of the solution instead being a part of the problem. 3. What they are doing is pretty good for the server. Regarding population, we already have way too many people as it is. We are getting 6000 long queues quite frequently, and the server lags because of the sheer amount of people. If their tightening the leash on such as you makes some people leave the server, all the better for the rest of us. 4.CHINESE VPN'S: There is no such as thing as "legit Chinese player". Ppl in Japan, China and Korea have got their own Asian-Flavour MMO's which they play. People choosing to go through the trouble of playing on a European server from China will almost certainly be two things: a. "PROFESSIONAL CHINESE WOW PLAYERS": People who play together in a guild cheating and hacking and selling BG boosts and BG matches (through win trading) for the sole purpose of making money. We used to have 3-4 such guilds on Kronos before the administration banned them. b. "PROFESSIONAL CHINESE GOLD SELLERS". Therefore, banning specifically Chinese VPN's and NOT Taiwanese, Korean or Japanese or Philipino VPN"s will be a good idea, as this is a fix to a part of the playerbase responsible for 95% of the cheating/hacking/goldselling/BG selling issues.
