I am aware of the OP as the Chinese used to do the same thing bost in Nostalius as well as in Krono$. This is a legit issue and needs to be looked into. I have said before that most Chinese players only play here to make money through shady dealing, and this is one way they do it. Back in Krono$ and Nostalrius, the Chinese used to win-trade BG's for a fee. Krono$ in the end had enough and banned Chinese VPN's. I keep seeing Chinese everywhere on Anathema however, including the "professional" Chinese guilds Moon, Friends and Old Times as well as tons of toons with Chinese names levelling up, which means that Chinese VPN's aren't banned. "Professional" Chinese guilds only play to make money, pref USD.

@Gehere: I am familiar with Owned Core as well as familiar with the Gold Selling scene, and that NOT in my capacity as a former police officer b/c I didn't really work on a CCU when I was in the Force. What I surmise out of this affair is that some scammers, prolly Chinese, who frequent Owned Core and other similar sites, have come up with a brand new scam to try on permabanned account owners from ELYSIUM. The Scam, which is pretty old and pretty typical of the Chinese, works as follows: 1. They assume the identity of an authority figure, a Lead Administrator or a Website Owner. 2. They copy their profile pictures, name & nickname from other sites including data they may have in their profiles. 3. They proceed to impersonate above mentioned authority figure. 4. Victim becomes convinced they are actually communicating with above mentioned authority figure. 5. Victim pays. 6. Victim get scammed. 7. Scammer avoids all contact.

Okay, in that case just install the game from original disks and then download the patches individually and apply them one by one until you reach 1.12.1 version. This is what I did as well BTW as I have got still the original game I bought in 2005. I did this three or four years ago when I upgraded my rig, and I still use the same installation from the original disks I did 4 years ago. Never downloaded anything from anywhere, just edited relamlist.wtf as I changed realm from one private server to the other. Hope this helps.
