    Feral raiding questions

Vanilla tanking/healing is more based on gear than spec. So a fury warrior can tank patch in t3 or a pally can heal with zero points in holy. As a druid as long as you have .4 or .5 off healing touch you can heal. You can go 11/31/9 and be able to do everything tank 5 mans tank/OT if needed in raids/dps if you gear right and bring consumes and shift properly/ and heal. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0zLV0oZxxMsfbktVL For Feral PvP you need crit 27% + which is easy with all blues and av ring/mace. Most people think druid pvp is trash because they're not itemized for it; without crit you can't do anything. Here's an example of the damage you can do in cat. Most videos are just some guy spamming moonfire/rejuv/ and rooting the target; that's NOT feral pvp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PPJpmq2zsY

Because most paladins are holy or in greens and they always expect to roll over them. So when they die it's infuriating to them especially undead rogues and mages lul xD

Pro and Con Feral Tank in Raiding

They can tank bosses but a warrior will be better and most guilds will have MTs but feral druids are great because they can OT/dps/heal. But it's certainly viable to OT stuff. Pros: -Lots of armor/hp and good threat -brings more damage than a prot warrior -can heal when needed Cons: -can't be def capped so it will be crit and be a burden on healer's mana -no real cooldowns besides frenzied regen Nef tank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7h2lC-UnwA

    Balance PvP/PvE hybrid

I would just play what you enjoy and there are plenty of guilds that need druids. As long as u have .4 or .5 in imp healing touch you will be able to heal well. Healing in vanilla is more about gear than anything. If there are fights where you need to heal you can always switch and if there are fights where you don't you can always do damage and give % crit so it works out great.
  5. Depends what you wanna do. If you wanna tank 5 mans and be more tanky in PvP against rogues/warriors than swap to a 2h for casters theres: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sVxuoxZVGtIMzxo If you wanna go ret you can go 21/0/30 or 20/0/31 http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sVxuoxZZxfztrcqo or a mix like this focused on a 1h http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sVxubgoZVGtcc0x There's also this which is worse at healing but u get to use seal of command http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sVxzZVGtzc0xZx0xp I would just look at how you wanna play and try different stuff but paladins can heal fine in raids because they always get 1.5 FoL even with zero points in holy. I just use rank 1 FoL with + healing gear and you will conserve a lot of mana (80%+) but still do great healing and than when a fight comes to the end or something goes wrong you will still have plenty of mana to heal while other healers will be oom cause they over heal too much.
  6. No you won't be able to do anything if you don't have reckoning or are ret. Paladins are easy targets for shammies, warlocks, mages and the other classes have easy match ups too. So if you go full holy you can maybe kill a super terrible player with green gear but besides that you have to go another build. However, no healer can really defend themselves in the world if they're an optimal raid healing build. That's why most people put enough points to heal and the rest for PvP. Paladins only really need 20 points in holy to heal effectively unlike other classes so they put the rest in prot or ret or a mix.

yeah looks good and u can heal pretty well with that too.

Is Ret Paladin Good In PvE?

Now it's not great dps but I mean let's be honest here 'TOP' guilds means they're better than most. This means most are just average but will have no problem in MC/BWL etc. So joining most guilds and doing this kind of damage will be absolutely fine. Here's a video of some german guy with his guild on Nost https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRIDIPWPE9c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwneivRDpjA Of course no "top" end guild would want one but again most are just average and will still clear the content and will take you if you beat other dps.

Hmm yeah I guess it's not supposed to on wowhead the posts say its not supposed to. Well that's good I remember those fire rogues on 2014 :X. So one trinket should always be blackhand's breath for the crit the other one I guess just use whatever u can get or pvp trinket.

It does scale http://www.wow-one.com/forum/topic/63462-is-there-a-resource-that-shows-what-scales-with-spell-damage/ theloras"heart scales quite well with spell dmg and procs ALOT more than Elementals deck" "yes compared side by side, heart of wyrmthalak blows darkmoon card out of the water - especially on my Feral druid - with 1.0 attack speed, heart procs like a mofo"

Hand of rag no i don't think so but darkmoon maelstrom and heart of wrym from lbrs yes. Those two do scale from spell damage as well. Darkmoon has a low proc but the heart of wrym has a decent proc.
  13. The reason everyone thinks druids are trash in vanilla is because they never itemize properly. They wear spell damage/healing/int gear and than complain. Feral druids must have 27%+ crit to do anything. Once you do you can literally kill people in seconds. Here's a video of a druid with good crit but it still is low https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PPJpmq2zsY The reason crit is so important is obviously when you crit you do more damage but Blood Frenzy gives you an extra combo point from shred or ravage which we need to used ferocious bite. Without good crit you will only get 2 combo points from a ravage and shred and your auto attacks will also do a lot less damage. With good crit you will get 3-4+ combo points in an opener and than have a good chance for ferocious bite to crit. The other thing is that people spec 0/30/21 or some hybrid spec, but you NEED omen of clarity and leader of the pack. 11/31/5 + 4 extra points. The last mistake people make is the opener, they try to pounce but you're not a rogue so you only get 1 combo point and no follow up stun-lock; always open with ravage even on plate. Getting the gear is also very easy just get shadow craft and crit gear like eye of rend unstoppable force etc. In blue gear and AV epics you will be itemized very well unlike other classes.

Ferals can't do anything without crit, if you have like 15-20% crit you will struggle to 1v1 but once u get 27-30% u will kill people in seconds. Imagine playing a seal of fate rogue with 20% crit and no improved backstab; it would be awful. Ferals have to crit to generate combo points to ferocious bite and go into bear form when needed. Just go on an instant 60 server and make a feral druid and get 6/8 shadow craft and the rest crit gear (2% crit mace, crit/agi ring etc). You will have something like 27% crit 950 ish AP with mark of the wild. You will see how good it is with crit. We have to crit for Blood Frenzy to give us combo points so we can used ferocious bite with 3-4+ combo points. Now there might be times when you may get no crits on an opener but with almost 1/3 a chance to crit you will eventually get it and your auto-attacks will crit a lot as well at 1.00 speed. Additionally when you go into bear form you will keep that crit and your mauls will do 600-1k+ depending on plate or cloth when they crit and that's a lot while taking less damage. The good thing about this is that you can obtain very good stats in just blues and AV 2h mace/ring. With enchants like 25 agility you can get close to 30% crit and 1k+ attack power. But yeah without the right itemization it's very very hard. Here's an example of a druid with good crit; yeah it's not the best player but you can see how powerful it can be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PPJpmq2zsY
  15. The issue with going soul link is you really need those early points in aff for leveling. Soul link is great for PvP but for leveling you still need to kill mobs so points in imp corruption and spell hit to affliction are super important plus life tap or drain soul regen. So if you respec at 40 you will lose those leveling talents till 50 which will just make you level slower. I lvl'd as SM/Ruin starting with aff and it was super fast leveling plus curse of exhaustion is really nice. The other thing is you can just avoid horde and try to stay near ally that's prolly the best strategy.

Feral DPS for WPvP - thoughts?

Yeah because getting caught out of stealth is a huge deal. If you try to open on someone and they can see you through stealth really easily you will have a rough time. If you try without it you will notice people will see you and u will almost never get an opener. As a feral druid or rogue you can pick your fights meaning you don't have to fight 3 people all stacked up and be really smart about it. A good example is if you want to return the flag, with improved prowl you can easily get to their FC but without it you might be caught up in random fights. I thought I didn't need it initially but when you play without you realize how awful it is especially out in the world. If a group of people just pass by you they won't see you with 5/5 but without it they will and you'll just get ganked. Plus this will give you higher stealth than most rogues that aren't hemo which is a huge plus. The talent is also very important for tanking.

Raiding as a Druid ? What spec to choose ?

If you are dedicated I'm sure many guilds will take you as any spec because here's the biggest thing to consider. Vanilla private servers have a huge turnover rate meaning a lot of players will play for a month or two than get bored and quit so if they can get a dedicated player whose good they will take them. Sure you can't have 5 boomkins or ferals in a raid but 1-3 hybrids that are dedicated and know what they're doing won't hurt plus you can always switch over to healing. When people say you're better off just getting another class well that person has to be decent, has to show up, and has to have gear which a lot of times many not be easy. That's why many guild masters and leaders will just take good players period. In theory an optimal raid would have the optimal classes but in reality filling 40 people is much more complex esp on a 1x server. If you want to pug on the other hand there are many ZG/MC/Ony even BWL pugs that just want to fill and go and you will prolly get taken and carried. So either way just play what you want most players are really terrible that's why they get horrible results as hunters/druids/paladins when trying to dps but if you put in effort you will do just as well or beat most of the bad players. On top of that druids are the least played so you will always be wanted and as long as you have .4-.5 reduction on healing touch you will be able to heal. Druids have also tanked Nef/Huhu/ off tank Patch so just you tube it. It's not like this is bleeding edge content anymore it's all been cleared a million times and worse case is that you will go resto for difficult bosses way down the road in AQ or naxx but for the most part just have fun.
  18. I level'd an alliance human warlock on Kronos after Nost shut down and it was all hunters/warriors/rogues. It was an extreme challenge to PvP and I recommend going horde if you want to be a warlock otherwise you will just die if it's 1vX against undead. As horde you can safely use a succubus and it's not bad at all. In fact with a succubus you can easily beat rogues and warriors. Alliance is also usually trash so it's very easy as horde. But if you want to be alliance you will have a "fun" challenge sometimes but in the end it's hell.

Is Duel wield warrior pvp viable?

It's extremely reliant on gear where as with arms even a not-so geared arms warrior can do a ton of damage. The main issue is that you need enough hit rating 7-9% otherwise you will just miss all the time but to get that hit you will take gear with little to no stam so fury warriors end up having very low health unless super geared. This is a problem because health is a warriors defense and you can see in the Swifty video he has 6k hp and lifegiving gem and barely kills people. An arms warrior would do a million times better with that gear. The other issue is burst and this is a big one for warriors because against mages for example you will only get a short window to attack them before you're endlessly kited and rooted. Fury needs high up time to ramp up it's damage where as arms can burst at any moment. Even fighting rogues will be a challenge as fury where as arms its a joke. I've lost to total trash players as fury 1v1 but as arms I've 1v3'd rank 10-13 warrior/mage/rogue with just smashing buttons. If you want to do well in PvP fury will make you really mad. There's one thing that can help tho and that's using sunder armor on everyone 1-3 stacks can really make all the difference. If you look at the swifty video he does it on everyone and if he didn't he would have no chance. So you can do that and be way more successful but still it's very hard without insane gear. All the PvP videos of fury are basically recklessness spam because it's always an uphill battle. I would highly recommend testing it for yourself in an instant 60 server before you decide to level to 60 as a warrior.

Feral DPS for WPvP - thoughts?

Feral druids scale really well with gear they get 1% crit for 20 agility like warriors/shammies/paladins but also get 1 ap for each agility like rogues and 2.2 ap for 1 strength which is even more than warriors/shammies/paladins. So the good thing about this is with blue gear u will be stat'd really well. Also make sure u always have 5% hit with gear very important! However, the most important stat is crit for PvP. You want at least 27%+ crit because when you crit with shred or ravage u get 2 combo points which will let u ferocious bite (without good crit u will not be able to do much damage.) This is really easy tho with all blue gear. The other thing about crit is when you go into bear form against a rogue or warrior or even caster u still keep that crit so ur mauls will and other attacks will do insane damage. For spec I go 11/31/9 so I can heal in raids with .4 off healing touch and get all the useful talents for feral. Healing and tanking in vanilla is more about gear than anything else where fury warriors can tank and anyone can heal. You can put 3 points into natural shapeshifter but you don't need them if you are smart about shapeshifting. For example, if you have a slow on you or a 2-3 second root you most likely won't need to remove it since you have 30% movement speed anyway. A lot of druids just shapeshift every little slow or snare and run oom and do no damage as a result. It's like saving your pvp trinket and not using it instantly. Additionally with this spec you can tank really well with 15% threat and other talents for bear. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0zLV0oZxxMsfbktVL For rotation as cat you always want to use ravage even against plate because pounce does no damage with the dot and we can't stunlock like a rogue can. Also pounce only gives 1 combo point where as ravage can give 2 if it crits then a shred can give 2 when it crits giving us an easy ferocious bite. With just 27-29% crit and 900-1k attack power you can literally 3 shot clothies and leather wearers if you get clear casting proc or crit. In blue gear I've 3-4 shotted t3 warlocks with lots of hp just because of crit and clearcasting. They also can't fear because 1 second attack speed. Lastly a very important note, ferocious bite consumes ALL energy never use it with clearcasting even if u have 5 combo points just do another shred or claw because u will waste the clearcasting proc. So anyway for PvP feral can be extremely strong but you absolutely must have the crit. The reason most ferals suck and people complain is they have very low crit and they take gear itemized with +spell dmg + int like the PvP set or t2.5 which is garbage. You won't need any raid gear or PvP gear to do really well but obviously it will help if it's itemized well.
