    TBC capped at level 60

Meant we can't have 41 talents in one tree. Also I have no idea whether he meant Primal style or TBC content capped at 60, but his wording made me think the latter.
  4. Venomhide Ravasaur wasn't released till halfway through Wrath of the Lich King.
  5. You could use this argument to justify dual talent specs, heroic modes, and groupfinder. If we can excuse artificial changes by simply speculating that it's what Blizzard would have done, literally every change within the scope of Blizzard's policies is acceptable.

    TBC capped at level 60

In addition to the fact that TBC servers are hard to script to begin with, here are some of the additional changes that would have to be made: - Every outland zone would presumably be the same level. This means the gold rewards from every single leveling zone quest would have to be tweaked to mirror the rewards from SMV and Netherstorm quests, or else leveling zones would remain largely untouched. - Or, if you wanted TBC leveling zones to be 48-60 instead of 58-70, every 48-60 old world leveling zone would become dead, and we're not even sure what kind of bugs would ensue, because that's code that's never been written before, not even by Blizzard. Additionally, all Outland quest rewards would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. - All TBC gear would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. - All TBC spells would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. - All TBC raid content would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. Is Karazahn supposed to be harder than Naxx, for example? - Either all TBC raid content would have to be capable of supporting 40 players while retaining its difficulty, or else guilds would be forced to run four separate Karazahn raids at a time upon clearing Naxx. Considering all the 25-man content is harder than Kara, you'd end up having to either bench 15 players from your roster (but keep them so you could still run 40-mans), or else create a second-string 25-man group with ten players in it who weren't even good enough to make the cut for 40-mans. - How would we implement 41-point talents that are active abilities if we can't have 41 talents? Or would we just get ten extra talent points at level 60? If that's the case, would people leveling 1-59 also have TBC talent trees?

    #JustVanilllaThings

Spending 10 months waiting for Nost to return, only to end up running laps in IF while shitposting in guild chat the day after launch. Taking twice as long as you should in STV because every time you get ganked you waste the next hour trying to get revenge. Hitting 40, buying a mount, and realizing that Tanaris still sucks even with the speed increase. Feeling your blood pressure spike instinctively every time somebody asks about Korrak in AV.

    Would this duel build work?

Voidwalker DS is nice sometimes for farming, but awful for everything else. Let's say you have around 4.5k health. DS will heal you for 3% of that: 4500*.03 = 135. That means that every four seconds, you're gaining 135 health. That's basically the equivalent of having a level 15 priest following you around casting heal on you. Consider that all the demo talents (aside from DE and improved HS) before DS buff the demons that DS then prevents you from using. That means those talents are essentially wasted, and so whatever benefit you get from DS needs to outweigh all those wasted points. A 135 hp heal every 4 seconds doesn't cut it, especially since you could just spend 10 more talents and get a flat 30% reduction to damage taken in addition to getting to keep your buffed pet around.

New player, fresh start lock questions

    1) Warlocks don't need to respec between farming and raiding; our raid specs are decent enough that you can hold your own out in the world with them. Even the low-utility DS/Ruin spec is fine; just sacrifice your VW for the health regen, be sure to drain soul/life occasionally, and you'll barely ever go oom. 2) It's been about a year, but as far as I remember, elite demons that you enslave are severely weaker. 3) Yes. 4) Sadly, it means over the duration of the entire spell, according to blizzard's response in 2005 (http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-372532.html). It's a pretty depressing talent.

    Raise Cap On Pve Server

So you want the cap raised, but you're also upset that the server with the higher cap has lag issues? This is like saying "Dear government, please fix unemployment. Oh and inflation is also too high." Everything is a tradeoff. There is no way to fix two inversely related problems without finding a compromise in the middle. You can't eliminate both.

    The hate from retail

It's a value judgment: Is the ease and convenience of Retail worth the less enjoyable/cheesier experience? We resent them for "selling out" by playing inferior content in exchange for quality of life improvements and ease. They resent us for not doing that same tradeoff, and think we're idiots for putting up with annoyances that they don't have to deal with. Either you like the tradeoff or you don't. I personally don't, and evidently many others don't either, because these forums exist. But we're never going to see eye to eye, the best we can do is just understand the other side's opinion and agree to disagree.

    The hate from retail

That feel when you realize the legacy server community are the Donald Trump supporters of the WoW playerbase. Good luck getting anyone to listen or explain their irrational rage.

You mean aside from making the same thread five times? Did you rename the realmlist.wtf file itself, or did you rename its contents? You're making it sound like you renamed the file itself, which you shouldn't be doing.

  21. If the argument here is that the server should be exactly as hard as it was back in the day, then the only way to achieve this with 100% guaranteed accuracy would be to return talent trees to their previous forms. I do find it interesting that people always handwave this idea away with the excuse, "Well they'll never do that." Is it not equally unlikely that they will buff the content by some arbitrary amount to make it "feel" more like it did back in '05? If you want it to be 100% blizzlike, you should be advocating for 1.8 talents on the PvP server and 1.1 talents on the fresh server. But you're not going to do that, because nobody wants that. Either take the easier difficulty afforded to you by the convenience of having superior 1.12 talents, or push for those talent trees to be returned to their previous incarnations. Anything else misses the mark and is an inferior attempt at fixing an issue whose solution is sitting in broad daylight.
  22. to nothing. Let me point something out: None of us is entitled to anything. I am currently unable to access my account in order to transfer my characters. I want that account back. But I am not entitled to it. Will I be upset if I don't get it back? You bet your anus I will be. But I do not have a fundamental right to get it back, because the only reason I was even able to make that account in the first place was because some Europeans decided to undertake the arduous process of creating a free private server. Make no mistake; the people who run this server owe you nothing. They have given you a gift by allowing you to play on any of three servers so long as you follow their community standards. They didn't have to do that, but they did. If you feel you are unfairly treated by the moderators/gms/et cetera, you have a right to voice your objections and point out where you think they went wrong. But that right does not extend to them giving you exactly what you want just because you want it so much that you've decided you now deserve it. This sense of entitlement astounds me. EDIT: Go ahead and say "I got you dude lol." My point still stands. And frankly, given your sheer vitriol even when you claim to have been trolling, I'm assuming you really do believe what you've written here.
  23. You heard him, everyone who cares at all about investing hundreds of hours into their character secretly has a sexual attraction to that character, and is a cancer to the private server community. Why else would anyone want their old character back that they arduously leveled, geared, and farmed honor on? Clearly it's because we're bad people. Excellent and insightful point, OP. I'm sure this indignant little rant has nothing to do with your resentment that the Nostalrius servers are going up first rather than the server that YOU wanted, nor your consequent irrational hatred for everyone who intends to play on those servers because in your opinion they're why you didn't get your way. Thanks for posting! You can go back to punching your mirror now.
