@Cogfather so much time and brain cells - in short supply - will be wasted if you just clarified the situation on auto-complete. This is not the same as retail vanilla, you've said as much yourself. Oh dear God. IF they follow standard Blizzlike mantra then after 30 days they will start auto-complete and the war effort will be over 30 days later, less whatever is already handed in. So 60 days max. The questions you should be asking the staff here is ''are you going to implement auto-complete?'' If the answer is yes, then you'll have AQ with two months If the answer is no, then it's purely down to delaying the event for as long as possible. This is the ONLY thing that's important.

Correct. So my point is that all the QQ'ing is irrelevant on war materiels if they implement the auto complete. I don't think we'll get an answer either. I think they will implement it once they are happy with the scripting. So the auto complete will start at T-30 days once they get the go ahead. I assume the 30 days are less the percentages already complete? For example with Firebloom at say 20% means completion will be 24 days max.

I'll say this again, maybe a little more obvious this time: What is the story with auto-complete with the AQ War Effort? Is Elysium going to implement it? If they do, when will it start? What percentage will it add per week? All other comments about war materials and gathering are irrelevant if this isn't cleared up.

So. What's the story on auto-complete? Are you going to ignore it, implement it, or implement it at a later stage?

*cough* I note that people are including Crestfall in terms of the troubles that Elysium are going through. Please refrain from doing so as nothing could be further from the truth. An attempt was made to create a relationship between both servers as 'The Legacy Gaming Network' and this has failed for reasons already discussed ad nauseum. Now both projects are going their separate ways, although I see there is still some assistance provided by Crogge and Whitekidney to Elysium owing to DDoS attacks and similar. While the community in Crestfall were pretty much totally against the tie up, we were prepared to accept it on face value. We are very happy to see Crestfall leave LGN and return to its roots by moving away from the Discord and Reddit 'communication' channels. A lot of us play on Elysium and enjoy our time here. I would like to think the community on CF wishes you and the staff good fortune and favourable winds over the next few months. But we don't take unfounded gossip and criticism of CF on any fora without responding. I also think it's unfair to this project to refer to Crestfall on these forums, positive or negative after they have gone their separate ways. It's well known who is has been working very hard to denigrate the Elysium project, even if a lot of this has been self inflicted. It has nothing to do with Crestfall. I stress I do not represent Crestfall, just heavily involved in supporting it through the forums there and elsewhere. No. Not a shill, learnt that lesson a long time ago. We all learn these kinds of lessons, and I'm sure Elysium will to.

Fact is that Alex loves Warcraft. He loved VoA, he loved Nostalrius, he loved Legion, he loved Elysium. Unfortunately, at some point something happens and he goes all Messiah complex, because he thinks he represents the community. So he fell out with VoA, fell out with Nostalrius, fell out with Legion and now he's fallen out with Elysium. He hates Crestfall above all else. Problem is that people can see this happening a mile away now and will avoid all promotion with him, knowing that he'll turn Dr Hyde quicker than you can say 'drama queen'. What should be important is the well-being of this server, the staff that don't turn out to be incompetent or traitors, and your player base. Alex is one ex-player with a grudge. Don't feed the trolls. Last time I looked last night there were 25k online and only a tiny fraction of them would be aware of the drama.

Yeah, so the code is down to a number of reasons. First, and obvious is that for vanilla it's the only class that had a shared and intrinsic background. Second, Tauren and Night Elves are clearly the best races and should never have been on opposing sides. Third, we always form the smallest community on both sides, making us more treasured and appreciated. Fourth, in certain BG's like WSG we rock at certain levels, so saluting each other as we head off to capture flags became a constant theme. Fifth, hybrids in vanilla are always pushing against the grain. So there is huge sympathy on both sides for our designated Resto role. I do agree that this goes out the window in TBC.

OK Duki, you show me all the screenshots from websites advertising gold/levelling services on Elysium not based/registered in China. Tie them in with screenshots from the realms and we'll agree you're right. But uh....you won't find any, Those 4 websites are the ONLY ones that advertise on Elysium. There are no others. I'm sorry these inconvenient facts get in the way of your alternative ones.

We've all seen the reddit hacking post and a lot of us archived it. There were 4 gold selling sites that spammed Elysium, some of them interconnected. All of them had Chinese /whois addresses, all of them were based in China/Hong Kong, and all of them used Chinese players to farm gold.

I don't know. You could check it yourself, I'm currently in Darkshore checking Blackmouth %. I may fly to Feathermoon and see if the squid are still there.

Except you can't cook them, the action is blocked (or was). The staff answer from Elysium was that Elysium always had fish relevant to patch release. So therefore before AQ 1.9 is patched on the relevant realms there will be no schools. The old Nost realms had fish at 1.12.1. When Elysium launched the old Nost realms for reasons unknown they kept the pools but diddled the DB so you never got mithril bound trunks etc. You could catch sagefish, you could get the recipe, but they stopped you from cooking it. Well duh... Now they're removed the pools (which they should have done at the start) but the DB is still wrong. For example, Oily Blackmouth can't be caught in open waters like Hillsbrad (25%) or Wetlands (10%). Instead it seems 90% Albacore and 10% Firefin Snapper. For those of you who never played vanilla from the start, well, that's what fishing was really like and you know what, you could make a lot of money from it then too.

Because I only playtest on this server. I did do the bugtracker for BoS reports here https://elysium-project.org/bugtracker/issue/860 I couldn't be arsed going through every single fishing zone and checking for errors as I've no intention of playing here long term.

I think you need to direct this to the staff not the players. I only report what I see. Correct @metagame Blackmouths are a 10% catch rate open water in Wetlands, and 25% in Hillsbrad. All I am seeing is a 10% drop of Firefin Snappers. The rest is Raw Albacore. In short, their DB on fish is incorrect.

Fishing pools are implemented in patch 1.9 so AQ event etc. So you'll need to wait for that to happen (date depends on realm). So you can't catch sagefish, or you shouldn't be able to Blackmouths should still be available from open sea - Menethil Harbour etc - where they are a straight % catch

I don't implement this stuff. I'm only giving information out. Please refer to devs is you have any issues

You can still fish for Firefin Snappers, you can still fish for Oily Blackmouths, you can still fish for Stonescale Eels. They are a % catch rate in open water. The only thing missing are the pools/schools/swarms. Savvy?

The sad truth is as follows: Old Nost had fishing at 1.10 or later, hence fishing pools plus recipes. When they were relaunched Elysium left on the pools put removed certain items like Mithril bound trunks and prevented you from cooking Sagefish Delight. It was a bonkers solution. With Nost QQ'ing back to being doormats for Activision, Elysium have gone back to their own version which is pre 1.9 so no pools whatsoever. Not sure if your recipes vanished too. It's a shame for those of us that use pools as a revenue resource but there you go. It will be implemented later
