Hi, I was levelling when I was disconnected (internet here is pretty lame), when I logged back in I found I can only view the general chat but cannot type in it. If I type /1 it does nothing and says to type /help. Any suggestions or ideas on what is happening here? Usually I'd just delete the cache file in retail and it would usually sort these kind of problems, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.

I myself am curious to know if windfury can proc from windfury still.

I can't decide between shaman or human rogue myself. I don't know if windfury has been "fixed" (AKA cannot chain from itself anymore), in which case I would play a human rogue. Decisions, decisions....

This. Why ask here when a search engine gives instant results? I have not the slightest idea as to what would be the "best", but I would ask google if I didn't want to risk someone shooting down my questions or opinions on the internet.

I doubt there will be a change to the Vanilla server. More likely people will be able to port their characters over to a new server with TBC. And even though that is more likely to happen, it's still unlikely overall. Hope that helps.

Are you talking about twinking? Or just world PVP?

Now that I think about it Feralas is also quiet enjoyable to be in as is Ashenvale..... Damn it, the game really is immersive like that.

How do I go about changing it back to English? I've managed to change my password but I cannot figure out how to change the language default back to English.

Wassail! This is the official n00b thread for those new to the Nostalrius and Elysium community. So post a welcome and introduction as we anticipate the launch. I guess I will start. I've been playing Retail since just before TBC launch and have always been curious about legacy servers. I've never played anything other than retail, so I am not sure what exactly to expect honestly. One thing I am looking forward to though, is Hillsbrad foothills. I'm sure we all have fun (or terrible) memories of the skirmishes there, which sometimes turned into full blown guild wars. Ignore any complaints about the fresh server staff. I myself plan on going on the fresh server (new to using non retail servers) and the fact this is being done free makes me eternally grateful (Would happily pay for the service too). I don't mind the wait at all, I know it will come out when it is ready. It's going to be a very peculiar experience seeing everyone low level, and seeing the world full of people. Haha damn didn't know that about the summon stones. Wew. Also what faction I go depends on if shamans still have the windfury I like, as mentioned in that other thread

I miss LOLDUELING with a 2H axe and blowing up tanks. Haha, I really hope it still is in the game. If not there's going to be another Nelf rogue... @Gehere Why would shamans complain about big numbers?

Organically populated worlds. Summon stones..... Ahhhh sounds brilliant. Again, does anyone know if there is still windury proccing from windfury like the old days? If there isn't I may just play a rogue.

Thank you Agreed with the PVE thing, run with the big dogs get BITTEN. haha. But yeah I like to cause havok sometimes, but really do enjoy being "the defender of Azeroth". Here's hoping we both find that old magic.

Sounds great to me. Is there a general disdain for griefing and ganking? (I like playing PVP) I do like shamans, is chain windfury still a thing? Or has it been patched out? That will probably determine which faction I play. I got the tail end of vanilla as well. I'm looking forward to many deaths and struggles, gaining a attachment to my character. (these days everyone has 6+ toons they play ) I'm coming back to oldschool for a reason, so do not fret :^)
