As most of you should know all too well, you need to dowse each rune of the firelords in MC with an Aqual Quintessence. Else Major Domo will not appear and you can't move on to Ragnaros. So we have to travel each week to Azshara to get this item. Especially for Alliance this is a long, boring travel. Now of course there is the Eternal Quintessence, which replenishes itself after 1 hour and is obtainable if you're revered with the Hydraxian Waterlords. The problem is, Blizzard only implemented this item in patch 1.11, when Naxxramas was released. So by the time we will be raiding Naxx and most likely won't raid MC anymore, we will get the endless water. My point being that by then, it's pretty much useless. tl;dr Problem: Unnecessary long travel to Azshara for MC water every week. Solution: Make Eternal Quintessence available with BWL release, not Naxx.

Yeah it was around 2-3g too here but then many flooded the market with cheap shards and now it sucks for all ^^.

In my opinion Nost PvE was fine before relaunch, we had 4,5k on peaks and that was mostly lvl 60 players. So you could find a group or BG quickly. Now it's full (6k) on peaks so the PvE realm has no problem really.

Well you acted like PvE players are not real World of Warcraft players, that's why I assumed you like to make fun of PvE players. PvP happens on PvE servers too, not only in BGs but in the open world too. But here we get to decide if and when we want to do that. See it's cool that you got the server of your preference and I got mine. In 2004 I too started playing on a PvP server, but it wasn't nearly as crowded as Nost/Elysium. So ganking was a reality but to a far lesser extent. Now I'm older and have limited play time, which I don't want to waste on corpse runs. I actually did start on the old Nost PvP server pre shutdown, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I waited for the PvE realm to be launched and don't regret it.

Are you sure you don't mean large brilliant shard? Because that's around 4g too on PvE. You only get small brilliant shards from Mara blues.

The thing with Mara is you are guaranteed 4 blues per run, I even had the epic dagger drop from Princess once. Sadly at least on the PvE realm disenchanting the non-weapon blues is not an option anymore, as you only get around 80s for the small brilliant shards in AH currently.

It depends if you get weapon drops (usually worth 4g) or non-weapon drops. If you got everything figured out I think 30-50g is realistic in an hour.

So when Nostalrius PvP has AQ out and access to that gear it's ok for them to gank people of Elysium PvP with only MC gear? Won't ever happen because of different patches on the servers and because it doesn't make sense anyways.

The hype will eventually calm down, some people will give up playing on the server as they are not willing to take the queues anymore. Also lots of people give up once they see how long it takes to level in vanilla. The population should stabilise in a few weeks and queues should be more manageable. Just give it 2-3 weeks time and you will see. In the first 2 weeks after relaunch we even had queues of 3000 - 5000 on the PvE server. Now after 1 month we only had a queue of 500 on Sunday, which is the most busy day usually. Granted some people left for the fresh PvP server but most PvE players will stay here.

Then it should be called World of Gankcraft or World of Corpsecamp ;-). Why do PvP players feel the need to ridicule PvE players? Because you can't gank us? Be glad you got your own server where you can do all that stuff.

There can't be more than 6k online on our PvE server anyways because of hardware limitations. I think right now our pop is in a good spot.

Did you use the same account / password combination on other private servers? Then yes, your account has been compromised and GMs won't be able to get your gear back. Be glad the account hasn't been banned.

There's still plenty of players leveling. BGs will pop for lvl 60s and groups for dungeons will form more often.

Even though Nost pre shutdown had like 15k it doesn't mean that everything was perfect. It came with a price, draw distance was so short that you would only see mobs when you already ran into them and had aggro. On top of that nasty lags, making it almost unplayable. The core/hardware limits the max population to around 11k players.

Thanks Xashe and also thanks for your great guide. I'm pretty certain I couldn't reset last time when in inside Mara and in a group. This is how I usually do it: After killing Rotgrip use reset instance macro. /camp Spawn outside of purple entrance. Walk to portal and repeat.

Actually I'm playing on the PvE realm but that shouldn't matter. I'm aware that WoW as a whole is a giant timesink, designed to get people to subscribe as long as possible. That doesn't mean we can't have some QoL improvements.

It doesn't matter if the flight/walk takes 10 minutes or 20 minutes or 30. The problem is the endless water is only available when most guilds first cleared MC year and a half ago. Blizzard only realized that in patch 1.11, thus a blizzlike server like Elysium will only make it available with Naxx patch. When it would make sense to release it earlier.

Was also bugged for me but I did it pre Nost shutdown. Seems they haven't fixed it yet.

Well I guess it depens on the kind of guild you're in. If you raid every day then sure, you have time to go MC, BWL, AQ and progress in Naxx too. But for most raiders this would mean a welcome change for the better.

Also to clarifiy on my last post, I use dots at the end of the Rotgrip (and Princess too) fight because you can then replenish a soulshard from Rotgrip. If it's a close encounter I won't go for the soulshard of course. I have tried that but when it didn't drop I couldn't reset instance from inside Maraudon (works when solo farming). So the rogue left the group which resulted in me getting ported to Ironforge. Any way to avoid this so we can rerun a 2nd time?
