No, Felguard was added in TBC patch when 41pt talents were introduced.

I believe this is an issue with the client, not the server\realm itself... I think this happens on all private vanilla servers. See all the top results here, numerous different servers: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=falling+through+zep+mac&pws=0&gl=uk&gws_rd=cr The way around it is to play via Wine, or at least switch to a Wine based client to travel between continents, not ideal, but it's the only way around it I've found.

Just found a fun one, if you health funnel as a warlock, you can essentially kill yourself (iirc, should take you down to 1hp and stop/fizzled)... but! You don't die, you simply feign death essentially until channeling, or your voidwalker becomes OOC.

I'll be rolling on PvE. Long time Warcraft fan, been playing since release and was a massive fan of vanilla raiding/PvP, fancy going back to the start of it all as Legion is a bit meh. Just trying to decide on whether I should go Rogue or Warlock...
