You amongst others are very good at splitting a community that's not very large to begin with. The absolute irony of having a "inner war" amongst fresh vs old people in this community when the same horrible and irrational "us vs them" mentality is going on with the private vs retail situation is depressing to watch. In a community where unity should be the focus, the focus is instead arguing about how one server is going to be better than the other. And not to mention the "get back to retail"-"arguments" when someone says something that the majority doesn't agree with. Good job! The self-destruction going on is very uplifting(yeah, sarcasm) to watch in a community that claims it is better than the retail one. If you want a brighter future for private servers, stop acting like tribesmen.

You might also have discovered the concept of the "us vs them"-mentality then.

Unpopular opinion: DDoS is an easy scapegoat that can be used to calm the playerbase when you know your server can't handle the stress it's getting. It divides the focus from the developers to an external source while they're working it out. Or it might be an actual attack, who the вау knows. There are reasons for it.

The "community" ALWAYS wants fresh. Do you understand that? It's a hypetrain that's going to all the new and fresh servers. Because vanilla will never change, it's the same old content all the time, over and over again. So why not start over to experience it again when the newest server on the block arrives? At least Nost had some sort of server community. It should've been only the old servers. And the fresh crowd could go to some other new server if fresh is what they really wanted. Hell, the nost pve server just released BWL. It's basicly fresh anyways. Their annoucement of "fresh" (for the sake of pulling loads of people, like you) was in my opinion, a mistake. Their goal should've been to preserve the current nost community. The nevernaxx cycle goes strong
