This has been resolved. Reply at your own risk. Tells me he spent a bunch of time farming for 29 Arathi. He does really well in one bg, gets teleported to the "GM room" where the GM says he was in that BG and then bans my friend. Tell me this is a joke and not at all true. Did he really just get banned because someone was butthurt that they lost?

I feel like I'm in the movie Groundhog Day. Dozens of people repeating the same thing over and over, not understanding what has been said to them and mindlessly wandering around in a circle like they're making some coherent point, but actually aren't doing anything of the sort.

Yeah, it was pretty embarrassing how many times you got handled and tooled like a child. A cat pawing an oblivious rodent. You were pretty entertaining meat to say the least.

I am not unreasonable. The story that was given to me implied wrongdoing on the part of the GM, and may yet still. I can see now where the mistakes were made. It would have certainly been useful to have had certain information from the start, but it didn't come until later. There are some questions left unanswered, but I find little there worth pursuing.

You are making the assumption that he used actual exploits and not simple UI addons like the ones he mentioned. Pet feed. Regulate Aspects. Whatever. He had mentioned the Pet Feed to me in Steam Chat before, so I knew he was at least using that. I have looked at both elitepvpers and ownedcore. elitepvpers could maybe have been given a pass, but ownedcore is straight up and mostly exploits. Even if he didn't use anything from there, just mentioning the site might have been the final nail in the coffin. I'm inclined to agree that downloading a mod pack of 700 mods without knowing what exactly was in it before installing them all was a very foolish thing to do. Not even an argument. Whether or not he used anything that was against the rules though... well, that is probably not worth the effort considering they were already installed. I don't think there is much of anything that can be done, so I don't see much point carrying this on having received this information.

True enough, I suppose. Though hacked accounts, in retail, were typically recovered and returned to the owner after restoration. It's not necessarily the same thing, but I do get the point.

There is a difference between ignorance and intention. For one who doesn't visit the forums or follow any particular group of people, how is he supposed to know that this specific group is not legit? Is this an opinion, or a fact that these websites are known for this kind of thing?

Fill me in. Who are these people? Downloading 700 mods probably isn't the smartest thing to do, but... You are implying that these people are not legit then?

I believe the answer is that he might have done so if the trigger wasn't pulled on him so quickly. But then again, not everyone is going to know what to do when presented with a situation like this.
