  1. I did actually get my friends name right on the appeal. He has one more chance to do what I ask for, which at this point is to simply get the "other GM's" involved so we can hear their side... but I probably won't wait that long to start tossing this around the internet. Clearly he is not willing to provide any evidence for his accusations, and I'll likely be banned for questioning his authority, which I'm sure all of you will enjoy immensely. Which is fine - I enjoy the idea too. I have very little interest in playing here anyway knowing that this type of shit goes on. He is fabricating a nice pretty picture, too. Completely contrary to what I have been told actually happened. Amazing that there is someone in charge that can be that much of a despicable asshole.
  2. Hey, you guys were right. He is going to play hard ball! lol, I don't have to prove anything! lol, I'm 100% legit! lol, I'm a special snowflake! How did I get this job? lol, all the other GM's left because of corruption. lol.
  3. I believe that is why he removed the picture, smart one. You're derailing the thread, stop it and start bitching about shit you've already been completely handled about. But on the other hand, you actually made a point; GM's can be corrupt, they can make mistakes. People keep coming in here and stirring up a shit storm when they don't know the real story any more than I do. I'm not sure why you people feel the need to run your head into a break wall over and over in the meantime. I mean, it IS pretty funny, but come on...
  4. Again, you are taking the GM at his word, blah blah volunteer, blah blah, not earned, blah blah, not infallible, blah blah, no evidence, etc etc etc.
  5. That isn't proof. You're being silly. Maybe this entire thing does insert some guilt in to him. I find that prospect just as amusing.
  6. I find it absolutely hilarious that you have lowered yourself down to the level of personal insults because you can't form an unbiased opinion about what has gone on in this thread. You support the GM, a man you know nothing about, his morals, his attitude toward the situation, or what actually happened. I have stated numerous times in this thread that I am waiting for their response and all I have got in return is insulted, demeaned and people flying off the hook at the prospect that they could be wrong. I believe you have served your purpose here. Feel free to jettison yourself. Or stay. Whatever I guess. You still serve a minor purpose.
  7. You keep telling yourself that.
  8. Speaking of suppositions, heresay, and inferrences...
  9. If they want to punish me, that's their prerogative.
  10. Though, you're right, I suppose if I wasn't lazy I could have just logged in and got his name from my friends list. Man, what would you have argued about then?
  11. Yeah, possibly flipping out and banning people without cause definitely shows a level of respect for your playerbase. If that indeed happened.
  12. It takes a certain kind of person, an amazing level of delusion, to think you speak for everyone in this community. Well said.
  13. Wouldn't bother me at all. We're playing on borrowed time anyway, and it's only a matter of time before this server gets the boot, tbqh. I already have a 60 on New Nost and have played my fair share of the game. I'm more invested in DAoC and could honestly care less if they take action on me for trying to expose a possible error or corruption. It wouldn't shine favorably on them, though... Probably. But why bother if the possibility of being banned for something you didn't do exists?
  14. He uses the same naming convention for most of his characters in any game. It could be one or the other. Again, he played this more than I have. I don't remember which name he used, and actually neither does he. That kind of happens when you don't give a shit.
  15. Trolls gonna troll, even if it is a pretty basic one that has already been shown false.
  16. Madae, on Elysium. Low level Warrior? She is 60. Like I've said before, I don't play on Elysium unless I'm trying to pass some time. He played more than me. I was torn between the free DAoC server, which started a day before this one, and the new Elysium server. I chose to play DAoC. He would have rather played WoW, but I had a hard time finding interest in it, especially with the launch troubles and changes (fast spawns, for one). Ultimately, we will play DAoC, mostly because of this situation. Everything else you said is just conjecture, uninformed and pretty stupid overall, considering it has been covered multiple times in this thread. He isn't "emotionally invested". Thanks for dropping by.
  17. Thanks. I tried really hard.
  18. You two sound like you'd be good friends. You should take advantage of that.
  19. Thanks for beating that dead horse. It has been awhile since that happened - wouldn't want to give him the wrong idea.
  20. I'm positively giddy at the, arguably unlikely, prospect of being proven right, my friend did nothing wrong, and wonder how all of you will feel about that. A wrong being righted. Trolls BTFO. Glorious. I really hope it's true, but I probably don't have to convince anyone of that...
  21. Oh snap. Watch out, he's on a rampage!
  22. lol. For real? I never said I had a "hunter in my twenties". I can pull out my 13 hunter IF YOU REALLY want me to. This was to prove my account is not banned... Actually, forget it. This post is just dazzlingly stupid. I genuinely feel my brain cells melting. Call an ambulance...
  23. I'm gonna put on my kid gloves just for you. "corruption" of a GM can only exist if the entirety of the staff is "corrupt". No one is making that claim. Not even me. Players regularly watch threads that involve banned players feigning innocence, and a very vast majority of them are lying in the end, which is why there is an innate distrust towards players feigning innocence. And that's fine. No doubt it happens. Nothing wrong with that. I'm certainly not going to have anything against you for not believing me. I will accept the blatant attempts at trolling from others, the "you're gay" comments, whatever. No one is feigning innocence here. I'm fighting for a cause that my friend doesn't even care about. However, there are many examples of players getting unbanned after the staff realize that the ban was a mistake. This is almost always due to automatic bans that have no involvement with the staff at all. Ok? The fact that a GM was watching your friend means that he must have done something that gave the GM an amount of proof that lead to his ban Actually, it means he believes he saw something, not that he knows it for a fact. He might have "evidence", but he hasn't proven it to me and it could actually just be bullshit because no one has seen it but him and maybe other GM's... which is an assumption, because we don't know if anyone is involved in this case other than him. I know that for most cases, if a GMs integrity is in question, the case is reviewed by multiple members of staff Good. I'm sorry that someone close to you was banned, but please don't escalate this to the belief that 'everyone is against you'. The staff work hard to assure the players who are banned are correctly banned. They review their evidence and I am sure that no permanent ban is processed by just one GM. Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm not escalating this, everyone is jumping to conclusions based on their own uninformed opinion. I'm sure some staff have worked hard, maybe even this one. We will see what happens.
