I love pre-Cata Tirisfal. It was different from all the other starting zones, it wasn't comfy or uneventful, you knew some serious !@#$ went down here. The first ever quest you ever do as an Undead states that your body would've been burned if you didn't wake up in time, I think that was a really good way to set the tone for the entire zone.
Tirisfal Glades was my first zone when I rolled an undead warrior at EU release - with its creepy ambience, sounds, green sky and lore as I was coming fresh off Warcraft 3 playing the Scourge campaign.
With cata, like this guy said on the youtube comments: "I have to admit, they added more in Cata Tirisfal, but pre-Cata looked awesome. This one looked dark and mysterious, post-cata looks like a carnival horror ride...."
The old Tirisfal actually felt dead, as it is supposed to be. Now its all bustling and there are bright colors everywhere...it just feels like a completely different place.
