I want to do something with my life;I want to learn codingGoldenEye replied to Ravid's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions If you want to go into a specific area you need to do research and see what languages people are using in that area. Because going into "coding" is a bit like saying you want to play sports. Figure out if you want to hit homeruns or score touchdowns and then take it from there. Then use the internet to acquire all the knowledge you need to get started.

There was one I can't find anymore made by xgen from die. He has a few that you can find but this one specifically was him as sub and was awesome. I also always enjoyed the orignal duel shadows video with them ganking in wetlands to green day.

Ya rogue stealth and vanish are game breaking broken. I hope they can figure it out.
-
Yes it's bugged. I get popped out of stealth and seen easily by mobs 3 or so levels lower than me and as of now I have 2 points in master of deception as I'm testing it out. I've also vanished and had mobs(8 or so levels lower than me) keep charging me from a far and knock me right out of vanish. So this needs to be addressed because this is what the rogue class depends on and at this point it's silly.

It's so different I say you use it and get back to us with your opinions of the play style.

I went sub daggers for leveling because I don't care about getting to 60 faster with swords. I enjoy the playstyle of ambush and backstab. I play on the PVP server so I know at anytime while leveling I will have a chance to actually put pressure on other players in PVP. Those opening ambushes can hit hard and while chasing down clothies or hunters getting off that crucial hit hurts more with backstab than SS. Plus I spec into moving faster while stealth (camouflage) which I like for both PVP and PVE purposes. I also throw points into master of deception to have better stealth and not get seen so easy in PVP and PVE. At the end of the day I would just play what you think you will enjoy on your journey to level cap. For me, the fun is in the journey, not how fast you get there.

What direction should i go?GoldenEye replied to Andarath's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Stick with the established Nos server. You're a man with a life. Playing on NOS PVP or PVE will probably be easier moving forward as it seems so many people are flooding the new servers. It won't matter to you anyway, you won't be the person who can grind all day every day anyway. So play where you can sign in and get right to the game and not have to wait in a queue, although sometimes that might happen regardless.

Time for New a New PvP ServerGoldenEye replied to KromKrush's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I think most of you should ask yourselves, "am I really the top 1% of players who can afford to grind like a madman?" If not, the new server doesn't matter. Play on the old one or which ever one is more stable and has less queue issues, because if you're not racing to be on top and can't afford to play all day, then it doesn't really matter than you're on a new server. Sure there might be some small things that are beneficial. The economy, the ganking, not being *sooo* far behind, but is it worth the queues and the flood of players? Everytime I log into Nos PVP is hardly have any queue times and if I do it's nothing insane. For me, that's worth it. So think about why you really want to be on a new server and weight the pros and cons.

You are the "idea guy" at Blizzard...GoldenEye replied to Antipatra's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Id probably implement a system where animations are chosen like in a wwe game. So if a human wanted to swing like an undead they could. If an orc wanted a 2 hand knight elf swing they could. If you wanted to run a certain way or walk a certain way. Just more options and more of these animations to choose from too. I'd create a questing and gear system that progressed with full sets the whole way to 60. So like the defias set, their would be that for every class the whole way to 60. I might not care anymore since I've played wow for so long but during classic I hated the mismatching system. However I understood it's purpose for the time. Seeing decked out full set 60's gave you something to strive towards. I just think that gear could still match from 1-60. I'd change respecting entirely and allow people to just save presets of what talent tree they want. Perhaps for balancing issues you'd only be able to change your spec at a trainer but I never understood blizzards infatuation with pigeon holing you into 1 spec and having it cost a tremendous amount of gold to consistently respect to enjoy and play around with your character. i would have assembled a team to implement popular addons under the blizzard UI so people can pick and choose how they want their ui to look. Who knows what else, that's good for now though.

I started Wow in college back in early 05. March to be exact. Played my first game on my roomates computer as a night elf warrior. It was love at first site for me. The game captivated me like few others before it. Unsubbed for the first time during WOD and haven't looked back. Disappointed, burnt out, too old, who knows? I got wind of this Nostalrius comeback and this Elysium project and something inside me got excited and just said go for it. I downloaded the client, extracted the files, made my account info, and everything went so smooth it's amazing how much of a breeze that was. Almost like it was a sign, like the voice of Terenas Menethil within the shattered entrance of Lordaeron: whispering to me, "yes, keep going, play my son, play again". I started up the game (even though the servers are down I just wanted to see if everything checked out), and bam! I got hit with over 10 years of memories and 10 year old memories. Thoughts and feeling rushing back to when I was living across the country going to school, living on my own, and spending too much time playing quite possibly the greatest game I had ever played, and too little time on my studies. Hearing that original log in music. Seeing all the original log in screens. I just laughed like a little school girl, giddy and euphoric. I swear it's the little things in life sometimes. Now being older and so far removed from the days of Classic Wow gaming, I'm actually really excited to rewind the clock and load up 04-06 all over again and see if reliving those days of gaming will be just as sweet this second time around. So, here I am, hello to those who have been here before, to those who are like me, and coming back to relive their glory days, and to those looking to create their glory days now. I'll be hanging around these parts from now on. See you in game, and on the forums!
