Thank you for maintaining this great addon. Given how aggressive gold sellers are with the spamming it's a real invaluable addon in my opinion. And the "remove duplicated messages until gap timeout" feature makes chat channels much more readable. I'd like to report 2 bugs I found recently. 1#: In version 1.14 you changed how the addon stores settings. As it says in the changelog on Github: "Changed the way of storing filter and ban lists. Its should be same across alts on same account" After I started using this version I noticed that every time I logged in it told me that "it detected a version update and will reset the settings to default." This reset happened every time on every account and char I logged in even after a complete client exit and restart. After I manually found and deleted all spamthrottle.lua settings files in my WTF folder it stopped doing this and started working normally by being able to save settings permanently. 2#: After upgrading to one of the recent versions (not sure exactly which, probably 1.14 or 1.15) I noticed that the addon doesn't add char names to the ban list anymore. In previous versions if the addon filtered a message from a gold spammer using the word list it always put that char name onto the ban list. Now it never does that and I have to do it manually. Recently there are gold spam messages coming in constantly that I can only filter out in part. Typically I'm able to filter out 2 lines out of a 3 line message. Now that the addon doesn't put char names on the ban list this 3rd line always comes through. In previous versions if the addon managed to filter out even just a part of a gold spam message it put the char on the ban list and after this the next time the same char tried to message me the whole message got filtered successfully. This is still present in v1.15a Would you please look into these issues? Thank you!

It would be kind of cruel to wait 1-2 months deciding on opening a new server, because nobody can play at the moment normally. If you could play yesterday, there is no guarantee that today you will be able to, unless you have all day to wait literally 3-4 hours in the queue. Most people have a couple of hours to play each day after work/school. At the moment they have almost no chance to play regularly, because the wait time alone takes this much. And the problem is not even the queue itself, it's the low speed you can progress in the queue, because people already playing on the server have no reason to just log off, so the rotation is slow. Which is of course normal. I agree that the hype will go down somewhat but I don't think that alone will make the 10-20k queue disappear. And about the Old Nost PVP dying out...even a pop of 4-5 K is totally healthy and playable and the Nost PVP is very far from dropping to that level. Opening a 2nd fresh realm won't make more people abandon the Old Nost PVP, why would it? Most people already know if they wan't to start over or not.

I experienced this myself many times. It's a serious problem on the server side. I've seen at least another topic about this on the forums: https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/27354-ah-access-caused-game-to-crash/#comment-275710 And I believe it's reported on the bug tracker here: https://elysium-project.org/bugtracker/issue/832 In this bug report there are comments from other forums also reporting this same issue. One is from the Old Nost forums in which an admin says they fixed it, but it seems for some reason it's not fixed here.

Anon redditor hacks into gold selling sites, displays information of all gold buyers.

All these people asking for "ban vpn"...how would you do it? There is no universal vpn detector. There are like 50 (maybe much more) well known VPN providers with thousands of different IP ranges, hundreds of thousands of different IP adresses. Even if you could figure all those addresses out and ban them all, it takes about 30 mins to set up a totally new vpn server, with a totally new ip range. Even a home computer or smartphone can be set up to be a vpn server, you can't ban all the possible addresses, because that is basically almost the whole internet. Imo playing on Nost/Elysium is totally enjoyable now with the use of the addon Spamthrottle (the version with WIM support) so just download that and play. And btw selling gold is just a service like any other, it's not a sin, nor is buying gold. Okay, it's againts the rules, so you knowthat doing it involves a risk of getting banned, but other than that, it's fine. Oh and the people saying that the gold buyers are "indirectly responsible for the hacks of innocent players" are ваууin' stupid. By this logic every living human is indirectly responsible for every harm and sin to everybody. I'm driving a car that uses fuel, which came from oil so I'm "indirectly responsible" for all the oil spills or all the wars countries generated because of oil resources? You wear clothes so you are "indirectly responsible" for all the child slaves in 3rd world countries used to cheaply manufacture clothes? Same with electronic devices, phones, jewelry etc? That is not how responsibility works. -
I think what you see is caused by the "remove duplicated messages until gap timeout" feature, if it is enabled. This is very useful, because people looking for groups or wanting to sell items often kind of spam their messages and with this feature you can make sure you don't see the same message twice in a set amount of time. Of course the more little this gap time is, the more the addon will filter "normal" messages. But you won't loose any normal message this way, because the addon will let you see the message for the first time, it will only filter the next ones if they are the same and within a time window set by you. Basically it helps you keep the chat channels more clear without loosing any message. Laytya, thank you for your patch! I wanted to ask the original author to implement the 'WIM patch' but you were faster. Also...I saw this error message generated by SpamThrottle, I don't know if it's a real problem or can be ignored: "Interface\Addons\SpamThrottle\SpamThrottle.lua:1185: attempt to call method 'AddMessage' (a nil value)"

No VPN will lower your latency. It's impossible for a VPN to do that, that is not how they work. If anything, they will make it even worse.
