imo the best population range is between 1k and 2k. Anything beyond that is too crowded. Anything under 1k, especially if it's at least around 500 is ok, it just might get harder to group up depending on certain level ranges. With the current numbers, I'd say we would need at least 3 pve realms and 5 pvp, but it's still too early to tell if we'll sustain these numbers to warrant more realms, if the current host server could even sustain more realms than the planned third anyway. Remember, in Vanilla, servers were still quite lively, having a caps of 2500, but with many not hitting that cap.
