disregarding and being the 'bigger person' has just invited more people that feel like they can hop on the bandwagon and shit on the project because there aren't any repercussions and the team is just going to roll over and take it while remaining as politically correct as possible
-
that post made me respect the team more. at some point you get fed up of playing nice and having to be civil with people who are trying their hardest to discredit and bring down a project you bust your ass on, and that they still play. the community is aids, im surprised anyone would want volunteer to work to as these guys are to provide a service to people who cant be happy they're even able to play.

Poll: would you join a Burning Crusade pve server here?
kastle replied to Trukk's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Because there's never been a legit, well coded 1x TBC server, hence the 72yr hype/wait on Corecraft. You see how picky people are w/ 'blizzlike' on vanilla servers when they get access to a mount or some herbing that they shouldn't, no TBC project has come even close to fulfilling anything 'blizzlike'. PvE would be interesting because PvP servers suffer from an insane Horde imbalance, I wonder if much would change if a PvE realm was released. Probably not because of arena, and leveling in Outlands with as massive a population as there will be without the option of killing the other faction would be a nightmare. I'd play it though -
After playing a tank and a healer
kastle replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Mages that constantly blizzard really irks me. You're damage is awful, all you're doing is making it harder for the tank to tank multiple mobs which is tough enough as is for most people leveling -
So all of this uproar is because Tornadari is afraid the server he chose won't have the population, and guild competition HE wants. Really? Get over yourself btw anyone who's played on other private servers knows you would get excited to see 500-1k people online, saying 1-3k pop is too low is just because you've been spoiled by a year of Nost's 10k overpopulation. The servers are already too crowded, camping mobs to grind from 1-60 wasn't intended nor is it fun. I'd welcome a zone or two with no one in it

4 reasons to roll Nostalrius-PvP over Elysium
kastle replied to Lifealert's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
These arguments just keep going round and round, I'm not sure what the point of these posts are as you're not swaying any opinions you're just talking to talk. Everyone is going to justify whatever decision they've made until they're blue in the face. Nost players will say the lack of content is going to be boring, the queue times suck, and there really isn't any need to reroll for the 14th time to just run the same content for another 7 months when the shit isn't that hard, or interesting anyway (you WANT to farm 2hr scholos?). Elysium players don't like being camped by 60's with literally nothing better to do with their lives, they don't want to feel 'left behind', and think that because people aren't wiping every raid because they're under geared, they're somehow not getting a more authentic vanilla experience. Newsflash, every problem Nost is facing, Elysium will too. We'll all be just as miserable bitching to one another on the forums until the project no longer exists. Let elysium people have their fun, and let nost people enjoy themselves too. -
I think I've played a total of 3hrs on elysium since it's release, been in and out of queues/authenticating etc for about 10+hrs lol
-
it was one of the reasons there was a new post every hour about it being release ASAP during nost's initial launch
-
remember when everyone was pleading for fresh to come out instantly because they didn't want to sit in queues, and are now sitting in even longer queues lol

Anyone else think ally is pve and horde pvp?
kastle replied to suhail1200's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This has a bit to do with the communities perception. The question itself wouldn't even be posed if there wasn't some underlying belief that Horde had the edge in PvP. Looking at every TBC private server you see one of the biggest pitfalls is the lack of people playing Alliance, because once Horde got Paladins everyone went Horde for the racials. My point was that the type of players that play each faction are somewhat affected by peoples beliefs on what their faction excels at, which is arguably more important than racials themselves depending on what you want to do as a player. There's a reason Ally has instant queues, because more horde than Ally are queueing. Why do you think that is? If he just wants to know if racials make a difference, no not really. If he's asking because he wants to know which faction to roll if he's interested in premades vs pugs, getting faster queues, joining PvP guilds, or doing world PvP, then yeah it'll have some impact. -
Anyone else think ally is pve and horde pvp?
kastle replied to suhail1200's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
It matters because the communities perception causes certain players to roll certain factions, thus adding to the thought that Alliance PvE, Horde PvP. If everyone believes horde is better for PvP, more PvP minded people will roll horde etc. The communities perception dictates this shit, not actual facts or numbers unfortunately -
HIGH LEVELS FARMING LOW LVL MATS
kastle replied to AciDTRiP's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This is the dumbest post I've seen in a while. You realize Gromsblood is used in consumables that lv60s use right? So rather than buying them, they leveled herb so they could farm their own mats, you following? Im genuinely baffled someone would suggest something so dumb, and that someone else would agree with them lol. -
What's the state of Alliance World PvP?
kastle replied to Nymis's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
It's always seemed to be Horde = PvP, Alliance = PvE in their mindsets in general. Ally have Paladins which give them the edge in PvE, hence the PvE server imbalance. Horde has better racials which gives them the edge in PvP, which is even more obvious on TBC servers where the ratio is like 8:2 Horde once they get paladins. We can all argue and nitpick about the validity of pally vs shaman, and each factions racials etc etc. But the hive mindset usually leads to what I just said, you're seeing it as well. -
Westac/Alliance Rogue - Nost PVP Ninja'd Core Hound Tooth
kastle replied to Erythema's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I don't think it's on GMs or anyone to do anything about every Ninja incident (there are probably multiple incidents a day). All the community can do is black ball the guy and let it be known if you see him in a group the shady фекал he's done to the point where no one wants to run with him -
Works like a charm, thanks!
