It might save you some time to backup your current WoW folder, delete all files/folders inside of WDB and WTF folders (including config.wtf), disable every single addon (once WoW is loaded) and ensuring you run WoW.exe as admin (right-click WoW.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'). If that works, slowly build back your settings/addons to find the culprit. Also, take into account Raeburn's suggestions. Really hope you get to the bottom of this!

Maybe what you need in this situation is a stopcasting macro...while you are 1.5s into a Fireball spell on your main target, you tab to the healer, and use the following macro, bound to your favorite key, to counter his heal: /run SpellStopCasting() CastSpellByName("Counterspell") This will immediately terminate/cancel the Fireball spell and, since you already tabbed to switch targets, will cast CS on the healer. I was reluctant at first to install yet another addon, but I haven't seen gold spam in over a week (when I originally installed it), thanks to SpamThrottle. I also haven't had any problems with it interfering with legit messages. Best of luck!

I don't think they go anywhere. They are botting to level enough to get past the mute restrictions to spam gold sales.

I had the same problem and my fix was to disconnect any other displays, reboot the PC and it worked fine thereafter. If I connect a second display now it still only shows 1600x1200 max, but at 2560x1080 I don't need a second display. I also run it in maximized window mode.

Omg indeed. See the same thing in Valley of Trials on the Horde side but not to that degree.

Agreed. I heard the same and am leveling fire. However, come MC time it's "bye bye fire" and "hello frost" until much later content is released.

One thing I haven't seen here that perhaps could go a long way to improving awareness on a variety of topics are automatic public service-type announcements that pop-up on everyone's main chat as a system message, similar to the "Server will restart in X minutes" messages. Something fairly infrequent, say once every 10 to 30 min, or triggered based on events. Example topics: How to keep your account safe (highlighting the recent post on two-factor authentication) Awareness to user base to NOT BUY GOLD (again, highlighting recent postings on this) Upcoming server changes (such as new server launch) Recent patch notes (obviously not the patch notes themselves, but something to effect of "Patch Revision XX is now live on YYYY/MM/DD - See Forums for More Details" General tips deemed important by staff or trends seen in the user population across servers (such as "Be sure to read the server rules, regulations and terms of use") Keeping the messages short, with URL shorteners (where applicable), I believe is key. The longer the message, the more likely people will ignore them. Really the possibilities are endless and I think it would be a good way to remind people and raise awareness to the important information on the forums that (hopefully a minority of) users don't read.
