  1. I just made 3 copy of the WoW folder, named them WoW classic 1,2,3, and then went into 2nd and 3rd and deleted the Data and Interface folders. Then with a symbolic link creator program (I use "Symbolic link creator 1.1.2.15") I made folder-links to the First "1" folder's data and interface folders. I did the same within the WTF folder with the "Account" folder. With this, each of the 3 Wow act as a different Wow with different realmlist but uses the same interface folderlocation for addons, same data dir and same to access account/realm/character infos. Also since the WDB folders are not shared, each client can access servers with different patch progress so no need to delete. What is a Symbolic link? Its Since XP, but mostly available since Windows 7. There is 2 type, entering one folder can just send you to a different folder location (as an internet link) for example if you have show hidden/system files enabled in Windows, then in C:\Users\<youraccname>\ there is an "Application Data" folder which jumps you to the AppData\Roaming folder. The other link is when it just simulates that you enter the dir but actually jumps to a different location secretly. So for example enterin the C:\USers\All users actually shows the contents of the C:\ProgramData folder (in W7), they are the same files, if you edit or delete something at any location it affects the other as well but they seem they have different locations. So for example you can make a folder in drive C: root named "D" and then symbolic-link it to D:\ thus if you enter C:\D\ you see the whole D:\ drive files and directories there, and you can maanage those files from there too. I use it when I installed a game on HDD and want to play it on SSD without reinstall, I just move, symbolic link and the game still thinks it runs from the original location... Anyway, using symbolic links I can make any number of different WoWs that uses the same data and interface folders but have their custom executables, realmlist and WDB (client-version-cache for the current patch's items creatures etc) but shares the same folder for account and addon-save data. Deleting a symbolic-linked foldername itself just deletes the link, not the target (same as deleting a desktop shortcut to a folder or file will only delete the shortcut). I'm using symbolic links since vanilla, where at 2005 I could only afford a tiny SSD for system and I only copied the interface and WTF folders from WoW to C: because it was the thousands of tiny addon-related file that made WoW launch and load so slow.
  2. I hope sellers dont think the same, and for them its annoying as hell :) of course only if the got banned often, once a day to just spam for hours after is not a big deal.
  3. Yes BUT they don't use the same account to advertise, because if their lvl1s or 10s get banned then the farmer 60 characters too. So obviously they dont have any high character on the gold-advertising accounts, or if they do then its even better because then their hidden farmer characters are getting banned as well along with the account! So yes, my idea is flawless, or may could even work better than I tought :)
  4. Easy soution: allow lvl1s to mail and chat anywhere, if there is at least one lvl20+ character on the same account, otherwise the lvl5 mail and lvl10 chat rule can be active. This way we can use bankalts and chat, and spammers still need to lvl to 5 or 10, and useless for them to lvl one to 20 because if they do it with lvl1 chars after lvld one to 20 the ban still account ban so not worth it for them. But normal players probably plan to lvl to at least 0 before planning to make an alt, until then the lvl5 mailing is ok, its not much time to lvl a mage (or warlock) Also since there are "developers" who can do anything, just instead of banning sellers, just flag those accounts as sellers, andprevent their messages to be seen to anyone (do not broadcast) but thes should still see their own messages if they were succesful, so they think it works and keep spamming on same account instead of making another, but we in fact see nothing. Or only send those messages to other flagged accs so they se eachother's goldspam so they think its a success and everyone seen them :) Even if they know that they can get secretly muted, they dont know whane, and will not check after each global message they send.

    some addon can collide with other addons and cause errors when loading therefore the addon is not loading. First try to delete (move) all other addon except Clicque and its dependencies if any, fully restart WoW and check if it runs alone

    Two ways of levelling

    You don't need to watch the bobber. After throwing it in there is a certain minimum time when you can't get a catch. And even after that if your mouse is over it and you hear fishing sounds, you can hear the catch and click on it without looking at the screen, and can even cast it again and only need to look there for a second while you move the mouse over the new location. I can totally fish and watch movie at the same time :)
  7. stopping at 20 is the worst, up until that the zones are different and usually non-contested, after that the zones and quests start to get meshed/mixed and most zone become almost the same, only the bases/flightmasters are at different locations, but if you knew routes as horde, thes usually the same as alliance, just the quests are different sometimes. Instances/dungeons also start to be the same (wailing/DM are faction only but BFD ScarletMonastery etc are shared... there are only rare exceptions like stockade) BTW I'm same with alliance, I like the colorfullness and Orgrimmar/Underciy was always depressing for me and too confusing. :)

    try to hold Ctrl or Alt or Shift (not at the same time) when clicking on the NPC, it may show the menu if something auto-skips it. (For example Ctrl+rightclick on NPC, and if does not work then try with alt or shift)

No, server status says everything is offline at the moment: elysiumstatus.com Or if you try to look at the website, it may display an older version if its offline, in this case you can see a top white horizontal bar with a green button at top-left "Retry for a live version"
  14. Many people who cries to not open another server are just selfish and only thinking about their own game experience. Ignoring other 20k+ players's bad experience and making them wait for hours in queue, just to feel a little better on their "old" server by not losing 1-2k player? Blizzard servers had 3-4k (or less) and they were fine and marked as full, but many player here got used to the 2-3x extra population and they just afraid that they become "normal" again. On a PvP server it could be understandable (less target to gank, less fun for PvPers) but on PvE I can't see any benefit. 6-8k population is totally fine, and maybe little overcrowded, don't cry to make it 10k+ again on the old servers. With 10k on new server and 10k in queue it shows that there is a demand for the new Elysium server and this hype will not calm down even after a month! Or if it will calm down then it only means that 10000+ player gave up the waiting or had bad experience and left or just waiting... Making 10k player leave to "calm the servers down" is NOT the solution! Yes, for example (in theory): if they close ALL server but one and put cap to 3000 then half year later there would be around max 5000 people playing (all other would eventually leave if can't play well), but that doesn't mean that you can say: "See? the hype went down"... it would only mean that people got fed up and left, or just waiting to come back when they can actually play. Another server could solve the situation and I don't think that months later as the "hype" fades they will be ghost realms with 2-3k player (which in retail totally not low)... no... 15k from 20k player will not just leave... I guess months later even if 5k player leaves, 2 server could settle down and run stable at 7-8k (which is the ideal) without queues. IF I guess wrong and players will not leave (there is a chance that more will come) then even 2 will be full... I can't see the benefit on not opening another server. Yes we know that they do it for FREE, but funding is not an issue, many would donate (including me) and would get $ in notime. Not all of us are hardcore "queue-waiters". And if no queues then players are not "forced" to do the stupid AFK botting. Anything is better than waiting for hours and not playing for weeks... because thats why most of us here... to play... to play well... right? What are your own valid pros and cons?

Some days ago while ingame, WoW crashed several times, got sudden disconnects from game or instant disconnect on login, but once I (and others) received the incorrect password thingie when tried to login. I was shocked, but later I read on forum that the Login server was down (or DDoSed) and when its unavailable, then that is the default message that the client displays. And in fact after a while I could login, password was not changed But today I receive an account closed message, when I checked the website/forums they were both offline (or too busy) so I tought thats another false client response but now everything online and I get the same message. (about close, and check a wow ban page) I'm sure I'm not banned since I did nothing, I had no acc on any other server, and since I only created acc (and some character) recently to try out Nostalrius, I had no highlevel character or gold, so if for some weird reason I got hacked, I had max 1 gold on my lvl 30, so I doubt if I got flagged if a seller tried to transfer that 1 gold to another acc :) Anyway I don't really care if its a real ban and not just a bug, since there was nothing on my acc just some test character, and I mainly used them to setup vanilla addons for the new server launch, but I just wonder if someone gets a ban then what message should appear on login, and if I supposed to receive any email notification? How do I know if its just a server error like the incorrect password message when the login server is down? If I got hacked then how is it possible since I havent played elsewhere, my computer is clean (checked malwarebytes, combofix and many other keylogger/trojan detector) and my password was something I never used before (tho it was simple 6 character but since they can only hack if they know the password itself and they can't use bruteforce trying millions of combinations, it doesn't matter) so maybe it was something serverside? Or should I use a complex password on my new account to avoid being hacked on the new server?

Thx for info No need to make Ban Appeal, there was nothing on my account, just some very low lvl test char and 1-2 gold, I'm not even curious about the reason, probably got hacked, but I dont know what the hacker could do to cause ban, maybe spamming advertising? :) I just made another acc preparing for new server launch, its a fresh start anyway, but I hope it will not happen again while I leveling... it was just weird that there was no email or any other notification about what happened and why, so I tought its a bug again.

    I made a macro to list the debuff iconnames on the current target (and my buff names) For my own buffs: /script local i=0; while not (GetPlayerBuff(i)==-1) do DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(GetPlayerBuffTexture(GetPlayerBuff(i))); i=i+1; end you check/find clearcasting's iconname when its up, and then u can write a function to check if its there. What do you want? having a button for cone of cold, but if you have clearcasting then cast something else instead (for example frostbolt)?     What class?

    on retail I have druid feral things as macro but here I had to make a tiny addon, and I just create a macro with: "/gepy attack" it checks my class, and does these buffing and attacking automatically, at the moment only for warlock, and for my mage the buffs. But If I'll start a feral alt I'll add feral rotation things to the addon (I must have the class and the skills to add spells properly, since it checks debuffs on the target and I need to know the debuff pic's name for that). Funny thing is when the addon checks if I'm dead (so it will not try to cast anything) I must look for the rogue vanish icon among the debuffs (the gray ghost thingie) I had a tiny addon (for myself) with many optional function from vanilla and I just started to add these things to it, but I can send the current version if you ant to try, the onebutton dotting thing. Most option is command-activated so the sh@tload other function does not slows anything. But maybe I'll just move these things to a separate addon. But for example it does not have siphon life since I dont have that spell yet and I dont know the debuff's iconnname which it should look for and I probably will start a mage on the new server :) If you have a lowlvl warlock, you can test it, I added a tiny txt to explain things :) Gepy.zip

    somehow supermacro conflicts with some addon, plus It only allows longer scripts but for example castsequence and other more complex things are not allowed At the moment I made addon for my warlock, I spam one button to buff myseld if they fall off (demon armor), to create healthstone, SS myself if I have no target. With a friendly target I assist him (or it targets nearest enemy), if got enemy target then sends pet (or summons if no pet), starts dots, agony, corruption, siphon life (if I learned, checks spellbook for spells and ranks), and autoapply a dot if falls off, does drainlife if not at full healt, shadow bolt, does drain soul at low hp if I got less than 3 soulshard... all this with spammming only one button. :) I want something similar, which I could make in retail: buffs if no target, if out of combat then prowl, then rake shred tiger fury etc whichever is the best, and I can add many if and contition as I want, even can check hp% and choose a finisher... many of these cant even be done in retail, but since vanilla allows targeting and casting from macros/addon its super useful
  23. I always loved snowy/grassy areas, others are too depressing. Thats why my favs in TBC are terokkar and NAGRAND. In Vanilla: DunMorogh and the Tauren startzone. Human area is pretty ok.

Yes, wait 1-2 week, and it will be faster amd less crowded leveling experience and AH will be full of cheap leveling weapons and gear which makes leveling even faster/smoother and you can catch up with the "crowd" from behind fast. Rushers will not lvl profs so well, and cant really sell items since not many ppl there to buy and noone have much money yet so they will not sell except if they are cheap. Cant do much dungeon since its slower to lvl a healer, must wait for others anyway, unless you want to ding 60 and then doing nothing just farming outdoor. However if you start alliance and reach 60 fast, go gank some lowlvl horde :)
