https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0qbyMdMkWB-S24tSEs4cDVMTkU Here are three fun addons I made. Please try them out and let me know what you think: Synopsis of what they do: ----------------------- Raid Wipe Fault - Assigns blame for a wipe Finding Fault for a Raid Wipe (RAID) 1. Be in a raid group 2. Type /rwf Finding Fault in a Group Wipe (GROUP) 1. Be in a group 2. Type /gwf Not In Zone This feature finds the current zone of the SELECTED raid member and lists out to the raid the members who are NOT in that zone. 1. Target a raid member 2. Type /niz Raid Roles Lists the assigned roles of the raid members 1. Be in a raid 2. Type /rr AllianceHordeTranslator This addon checks for incoming SAY or YELL events from an opposing faction, the "translates" it using a library of quotes. This is NOT an actual translator, but a random "quote getter". An example is as follows: Grimtok says: (Orcish to Common) Do these new shoulders make me look hot? Grimtok says: (Orcish) Rah'kli vehl drahk You can add your own quotes! Just add them to the table in the LUA file. EmoteReply This addon will return an emote for an emote given. You can set it to where when someone slaps you, you belch, or if someone pokes you, you fart, etc. You can set it up to your heart's desire.

Ok, check the link at the top. In each add-on directory, I added a screenshot example of each.

Random... it's for amusement. It randomly picks a raid or group member and blames them for the wipe. I have had people quit raids over being "blamed." lol This was back in the WoLK/Cata days.
-
It's all command-line. If I supplied a screenshot, it would just be of the text.

I wrote these three fun add-ons during WoLK before they changed the add-on dev environment. I never updated them after they changed it. https://wow.curseforge.com/members/Umbridge/projects Emote Reply (confirmed works) This addon will immediately return an emote for an emote given. You can set it to where when someone slaps you, you belch, or if someone pokes you, you fart, etc. You can set it up to your heart's desire. Faux Translator (have not confirmed because I haven't been able to coax the Horde into saying/yelling something) This addon checks for incoming SAY or YELL events from an opposing faction, then "translates" it using a library of quotes. This is NOT an actual translator, but a random "quote getter". You can go into the file and add to the library. An example is as follows: Grimtok says: (Orcish to Common) Do these new shoulders make me look hot? Grimtok says: (Orcish) Rah'kli vehl drahk Raid Wipe Fault (some errors) This addon finds fault for the raid wipe. It selects a member of the raid and lets everyone in the raid know who is at fault. It does this both randomly and comically. It also allows for you to modify the comments tables. You type /rwf to get a fault applied to someone in the raid (gives an error) /gwf same for a group (gives an error) other commands included... /niz will tell you who is not in the zone from your raid (does nothing) /rafk will tell you who is afk in the raid (confirmed works) /rr will tell you the roles assigned to raid members (confirmed works) I need to work on this add-on a bit... Have fun! Let me know hot it goes if you try it.

My add-on works again... so excited!

Bah... error with the translator as well. These worked when WoLK was current... I'll figure it out. Be careful with the emote reply... I once caused a major endless loop when I was testing it years ago. The only way for me to stop it quickly was to run the characters away from each other. I modifies the emote to have "poke" reply with a "poke"... then had my wife log in... we targeted each other and she poked me... it immediately cleared our chat box with the emote, and the same for everyone around us... all they saw was pokes... so we had to get the characters away from each other. -
Some zones are overcrowded and some at equivalent levels are not. I would suggest setting some of those less crowded zones with a percentage increase in experience...like 10-15% experience bonus for killing mobs and completing quests.

You guys have worse blinders on than most people I know. I'm not advocating for this for my benefit, but for the purpose to moving people out of the zones that are easy to get to, like Westfall, Duskwood, etc... to other zones that take some effort to get to... like Ashenvale, Stonetalon, Desolace, Southshore... ...thus the comment earlier about "thinking outside the box"... and this thread proves that many of you cannot.
-
I did, but I was in a great guild and a pretty decent PvP realm. I played Alliance at the time and other Alliance weren't like that, at least not in my experience. I started on Sargeras (PvP) in Nov 2004.
-
Some of you guys are worse than some of the worst current retail players in terms of being dicks.
-
You're a real jerk, you know that? I'm being kind when I say it that way.
-
Wow, what a way to think inside the box. I make a suggestion akin to municipalities lowering taxes to draw in businesses, and you suggest I'm looking for a free ride. No, I'm looking to see more adventurers in areas like Stone talon Peak, Desolace, and even Southshore. It's difficult getting groups there because of the lack of fellow players. The best way, in my opinion, to entice them is to provide an experincentive bonus.
-
It's not a free ride, but a way to disburse the crowds.

What's the state of Alliance World PvP?
martigan replied to Nymis's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I came to the aid of a fellow Alliance at the centaurs in Desolace. I paid with my life. Now, if the GY was going to be a 10 minute run to my corpse, I would judge my survivability and either fight it flee. -
I was between south shore and dun algoz when I noticed a mountain lion chasing a troll. The troll died... the mountain lion then disappeared, then reappeared behind me...jumping up and down. This was a lvl 60 Horde Druid. I started jumping too...maybe he would let me live. He did. I then went into dun algoz, and when I came out, there was Horde everywhere... I ran off and was being chased by three of them... but I survived because that level 60 Horde Druid killed all three of them. I'm not being ungrateful...just curious as to what's going on.

That feeling when I played EQ for the first two years, that feeling with WoW, TBC, and WoLK... I have that now playing here. I'm on vacation right now and can't play, and I'm looking forward to going back home to play some more.
-
Negative... been playing Wow since 2004. There are no Troll NPC's in the area.
-
Draco, what's funny about my post in regards to your reply is that I am currently at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. I am waiting for my wife and daughter to go on their ride. I am also wearing a blue Raven claw hat. Regardless... I am not trolling.

With this workaround, it's really a bonus for Mac users. When I take the boat from Menethil to Darkshore, I can just stay logged in if I want to go to ratchet instead. It's like having extra boats... except the boat that drops you off in the middle of the ocean east of arathi highlands.
-
Here is a solution that has worked for me. Someone suggested it and I've been passing this along to other mac users. Once you are on the boat and the boat starts to leave, /camp. Wait a minute, maybe 20 extra seconds...log back in. You will end up in the right place.

I am alliance and was grouped with another guild mate in Wetlands. There was this group of alliance running around, all doing the same movements at the same time. They were escorted by a level 60 horde. The alliance would say things like, "Hope you packed your попа cream!" before the horde killed us. They killed us over and over again. This was on the PvP realm. Derpinas and Crispfade were two of the alliance that were in the group of "synchronized" players, while the horde was Dookieplug. They were working together and were obviously using some key sync tool.
-
They were bouncing back and forth between Gnoll camps in Wetlands... the only Gnoll camps that have specific Gnolls for the first Greenwarden quest. If you were at the camp they were jumping to, their "tag along" Horde would kill you... but only after one of the Alliance characters announced that you were going to die.
-
I guess, according to the GMs, after investigation, nobody was multi boxing. But we do have a 60 Horde mysteriously helping this group to clear camps of the competition ... there were low-levels in the "group" with the 60 alliances I mentioned... so some sort of power-levling was also going on, which is not against the rules... but that was some sketchy crap going on.

Getting in Shape With WoW!
martigan replied to WarriorFreeAgent's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Do some pushups/situps/squats after each quest turn-in. -
I went to Menethil Harbor in Wetlands and got on a boat for Darnassus/Darkshore. When the boat "zoned", it showed me "falling" and I ended up in the Ratchet graveyard alive. I then got on the boat to Booty Bay and there was a Horde player that killed me on the boat. I didn't release, and when the boat zoned, I got transported to the ocean off the east coast of Arathi Highlands. I had to hearth back to IF.
