This statement is just about my opinion exactly. Mistakes were made as early as the very first expansion. HUGE frickin mistakes, not some "Oh ballz, THAT shouldn't have happened, we'll have to hotfix this asap"..... kind of mistakes. Things then proceeded to go downhill at a rate nobody would ever have imagined. In spite of this, WoW's popularity continued to increase for some years (imho this was simply a product of just how amazing the day 1 release was & it positively influenced total user base for years) The WoW of today is so vastly different from its original form i genuinely consider it an entirely different game, one which i simply cannot play :( But as you've said, if Blizzard did release Legacy servers it'd be way too close to admitting that over a decades worth of creative output from their team has amounted to.......ummmm.....ahhhh......yeah, right :/

Yes, the Elite Giants are indeed roaming Desolace. First time i saw one i was on an Escort Quest! After changing my boxers i spent some time following the huge lump, great stuff imo & yet another thing id completely forgotten about!! :O

Im REALLY sorry to hear about this . Unfortunately these type of games tend to bring the BEST & the WORST out of people, this time around you got the shitty end of the stick :/ I am however, EXTREMELY interested to hear the GM state that "So far, 100% of the cases ........ How the heck can some people STILL be so dumb? The entire "Gold Selling/Account hacking" issue is known by EVERY player on the servers, PvP & PvE and HAS BEEN KNOWN for quite a while now!!!! Ive had numerous players on my FL & in my Guild have their accounts hacked & Gold/Items stolen. However, where they differ from the majority of people who post here is that they THEN change their account information immediately! Its NOT rocket science ffs!! Nowadays i dont hear about anyone getting hacked tbh, & imo thats due to tightening of security on personal accounts. Also, if you find yourself PERMbanned, then create a new account. IF you love the game half as much as others do (myself included) then this shouldn't be too much of an issue. Heck, one poor soul lost a Lv60, 55,48,42, 34 & a new 16, just coz of the "usual" (same password used on other server :/ ). He's back immediately rolling a new toon with a , & i qoute " I aint letting no (insert expletives/racial slurs) ruin my WoW experience, F*&K Em!"

So earlier today i was in the Stonetalon Mountains zone completing the "Fire-Hardened Hauberk" Quest for my warrior. On the way to the place where the neccessary mobs spawn i dropped by a gnome to hand in a Quest or two. At this point everything was as normal. Once i finished farming the required drops for the warrior quest i started to make my way back up North to the Flight Path. On my way though i decided to take a "look-around" as this is my first time back in WoW since the initial release. I stumbled on a "shortcut" to the gnome i mentioned earlier (as i couldnt remember if he , or the Night Elf npc near him vendored & i needed to sell to clear my bags) which took me past an Orc encampment. For a laugh & genuine curiosity i decided to drop down into the Orc place & try & run thru!! Lols... i promptly got myself "jumped" by npc's & killed :) Lesson learned i raised my corpse & ran back to the gnome as fast as possible , lols. NOW, when i got to the gnome i noticed his nameplate's background was now showing red. I didnt even give this much thought at this time, not until MUCH later, when i was back in IronForge & attempted to accept & hand in some Quests. I found that not a single gnome will let me interact with them regards Quests. Ive tried Googling this but cant find anything. Can someone PLEASE inform me as to how i can fix this? I kind of understand what's happened, although as to how its happened ive no clue at all. No combat was performed anywhere near the gnome in Stonetalon Mountains, im assuming its somehow related to me getting aggro from the Orc Guard npc's, & the gnomes are being speceist, lols. No, seriously, is this a bug? How the heck has this happened? Im glad ive finished the main Gnomeregan Quests, but if im unable to interact with any Gnomes for the remainder, i reckon id just quit this character tbh, & i REALLY dont wanna do that. Thank you in advance for ANY replies. Someone whose played a looooong time should have an idea of just how this has happened, & then hopefully HOW to fix it :) EDIT: Im on the PvE server & my reputaion is about 1K short of revered with the gnomes (unchanged i believe) Every other race im Revered with.SW almost halfway to the next "Level" (Exalted is it?) P.s. The gnomes don't actually attack me or anything. The only difference is the nameplate is red & i cant accept or hand in any Quests :/

It WORKED!!! Thanks loads mate :) Now i know what to do if my client messes up in the future :) Ive not gone & checked the original offending gnome back in the Stonetalon Mountain zone, but im almost certain he'll be fine again now too

Its flying around that this is due to yet another DDos attack. Whatever it is, its sucks for the player base as a whole. I, like many others have given up for now. I really hope things are more "normal" tomorrow when i login :/

So literally in the last half an hour ive suddenly lost the ability to talk in ANY chat channel. It happened whilst i was talking in my Guild's chat. At first i thought it was a simple mistake by a guild superior, but soon found out that i can no longer chat in ANY channel at all. I re-logged, reset, even tried on other characters but whatever i do i can no longer talk in ANY channel!! Please correct this or advise me on how to fix it ASAP!! P.S. I heard you may have been applying a "Gold spammer" fix....if this is true then PLEASE sort out my account, because im certainly no Gold seller OR buyer!!! P.P.S. Btw, i can read ALL channels as normal, & the game itself seems to be running ok. Its literally just the chat that has stopped functioning :/ Thank you in advance for a speedy reply

EDIT: I ended up doing a clean install & everything went back to normal. Its been fine since. I will add however that the gold spammers seem to be FAR LESS than before, so maybe it was worth being "cut-off" from chat for a while :/

I REALLY hope this is the case for me to. It happened to me within the last hour during "Guild Chat". After reading various posts here i can add that NO use of any "trigger" words occured. Ive literally tried everything. Im just in the process of a clean install Im not very hopeful tho, so maybe ill be lucky & it'll correct itself :/

????? I can no longer talk in ANY channels too. Is THIS what's happened to me?!!!!? Im gonna be so pissed off if so!! Ive had to put up with being blitzed by gold spammers for days now, & now I'VE been muted!?? This is total BS. Im really *%$*^% off about this!! Im losing time on my character waiting for a response & fix here!!

Ive literally just found myself not being able to use any chat channel whatsoever. However, it happened to me whilst using my guild chat, & there was certainly no mention of "Gold-sellers" etc. I appear to be the only one affected (though with this kind of fault, its unclear yet tbh) so far. It happened just after all the disconnection issues & rollbacks etc. I NEED this fixed BADLY!!!!!! This type of fault is an actual GAME-BREAKER in any mmorpg. Please respond asap

So as per title, for the last few instance runs now after around an hour or so i get DC'd......... I'll then quit WoW ( like u do :/ ) & attempt to re-start. However what's happening recently is as soon as i put my password in i receive the "Disconnected" message. This will happen repeatedly , so i have to shutdown WoW & restart the entire process hoping that eventually ill manage to get back inside! As im typing this ive just had to give up trying entirely as after half an hour of this i was just way too stressed out! So, my question is "Just what is happening?" I know it has to be server-side due to other family members being online & them saying our internets fine, not even a slight slowdown at any point :( Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated as im ecstatic over being back in the WoW that i knew & loved :) Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi. So im totally new to macros in wow ( & didnt use them back when i did use to play tbh). Now ive started to play a warrior tho im beginning to think its all but essential to use them really!! My question is do i add them to a folder in the games directory, like the add-ons? I see there's a graphical display full of icons in game, but ive no idea how these relate to various macros. Im tempted just to "have a go" & see what happens....but then i think "Hmmm, better not". Lols Thanks for any replies

I dunno man, i didn't mind queueing up for an hour when i first started, as in id not even created a toon yet..... But as i type this ive been waiting half an hour ( down under 1Kth place at last!!) to get back in the game. Its the first time its happened to me since i created a char, i honestly thought the queue was JUST for new players until now!! Lols EDIT: I forgot my original point!! lols. The PvE server im on seems to be running at MAX capacity, 24 hrs a day. So is this NOT the norm then?

Most new groups going for deadmines will have to little gear, or missing a few levels for last boss, so most of them cheat using the canon trick. Its more normal to cheat on the boss then to not cheat on it afaik. Its more normal to cheat?!?............(shakes head in disbelief)........sigh.

Lmao, now THIS explains why im seeing so many high lvl toons on the PvE!! I literally only started yesterday. I totally missed the first Nost (never knew it existed tbh!!) & only found out when it got shutdown. Ive only ever played WoW at its initial launch for the very first 18 months. Was tempted to return a few times but was discouraged by rl friends who all said it sucked donkey ballz, getting progressively worse every single expansion. I honestly thought the servers (all of em, lols) were only starting up within the last few days!! Doh!!!
