You claim that you aren't going to unban them because they could have connected to a VPN and sold that gold and then claimed they got hacked. Just disable VPNs. Problem solved. Wrong it's the exact same situation. Each faction has 2 races that share a starting zone.

Existing stats change. You don't have to get new items. You will have to delete WDB folder each patch though. Not sure about honor system.

For the minority of chinese that are actually playing the game, we can't even communicate with them. They should play on a chinese private server where everyone can communicate. Another solution would be to allow vpn approval on an individual account basis. This would let the chinese who legitimately play still be able to play.

Maybe have them actually talk to an admin on discord (voice chat) to get approved. I remember a game called Arma had servers where before you could play on them you had to get approved by an admin on their teamspeak. We could have a similar situation set up just for getting VPN approval. Whatever the process is, it cannot be made easy or automate-able.

I was thinking something along the line of approving everyone initially for VPN usage and then making it a more difficult process afterwards. This will approve the gold sellers initially, but they will get banned and then will have to go through the process of trying to get an account approved. We don't want it to be worthwhile for these gold sellers to keep making accounts over and over and we want it to be tedious for them to get an account approved for VPN usage. Besides, it being tedious shouldn't be an issue since you only have to do it once for your account.

There is nearly no legitimate reason somebody should need a VPN to play on here. As suggested before, if you are a rare case where you NEED to use a VPN we should have a process for getting your account proved for VPN usage. Other than that, VPN access should be disabled.

When you have a problem, you get rid of the problem not something that could be a potential source of support for the problem. Also LOL @ your "statistics". If we have a gang selling drugs in the city and causing mass crime, and all of the poor people are buying drugs from the gang would your solution be to kick all of the poor people out of the city so the gang can't make money anymore or to kick the gang out? The answer should be obvious.

This seriously. At the least we could ban VPN usage on the new server. The chinese and everyone can still play on the old servers, but make it so we'll have a server that isn't destroyed by them.
