Finally!!! Grinded hard now I can use epic daggers!
Xemni replied to PaulyPepperoni's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I haven't had an issue using mine. I plan on dropping it once I get thrash blade, but the dagger it self is fine. The top end on it is good at 40, you can still quest effectively with it. It does start becoming subpar when you get to ZF tho, the mace that drops in there is very good, but I'm gonna stick with the gut ripper till thrash blade. They hit hard as well, great DPS for dungeons, fun ganking as well as you can usually blow someone up. However, it is true. Swords and maces are better while leveling in terms of killing npc's. At the end of the day its how you want to play the game really, have fun with em. -
Horde Mage Beerwizzard ninjas Stockade Pauldrons
Xemni replied to Mokes's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
The definition of a Ninja is different between servers. Some servers rolling need on all BoE's is considered acceptable, while others, you're to roll need only if its a gear upgrade as Greed is reserved for monetary gain. Whenever I joined a group in the past for something like this (Especially UBRS mind you) it was on Masterloot all the way through, back on my retail realm. This way if something did drop, it was only handed to someone that could use it, or greed rolled out if no one needed it. Its your fault for joining a group or creating a group without proper loot rules established, and leaving it on standard loot rules. What goes around, comes around. -
High lvl and geared goldspammers?
Xemni replied to smokeit's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Its likely they got hacked. That "database leak" non sense only goes so far. Some of our guildies have been hacked, and they aren't using anything remotely the same as they've used in the past on other servers. When they get hacked, the gold spammers use their accounts to spam further. Take my advice and grab the authenticator. -
Molten Core Clear - Quintessences/Integrity
Xemni replied to Lopherus's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
They haven't swapped back yet. They stated it would take them weeks before this was possible. The Nost Core is also mangos, so the Nost core is just an adaption of the mangos core. Where do you think the shit storm from them not releasing the core back to mangos stems from? MC is a shit tier raid. It always has been. Half of your raid could be asleep and you'd be fine, if the other half were competent players. On top of all this, we need to look at some pretty important stuff. MC was the release raid for World of Warcraft. Meaning it was tuned for release talents and spells. We're running with 1.12.1 Talents and abilities. That makes a BIG difference. Its what can make this doable with an undergeared raid. There are a lot of things that were added to all kinds of classes that bump the DPS up quite a bit. But this is hardly the argument at the heart of the thread. Its very possible to get honored with the waterlords just by grinding mobs in Silithus, to pretend its not, is plain ignorance. Its a server first on a private server for a 13 year old game. Is this really something to give this much of a shit about? -
I don't have time to actually read through this thread i'm linking entirely, I have to go paint a house we just bought, but this thread contains some numbers regarding what the additional weapon skill can do with a rogue. https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=33547&sid=f5a5a26f71216ed133e7ef9eb220a60b&start=10

Humans have a DPS advantage over other races, but its negligible. The additional weapons skills increase things like hit and crit, and reduce glancing blows. However, with that said, its a MINOR advantage. If you're in a hardcore progression guild, then you may consider running human and sticking with the weapons that the race specializes in, but if you're just doing a regular play through, any race is fine. I forget the math, so unfortunately, I can't really leave any, but iirc its not a 15% boost in DPS. I don't even think its a 5% boost. At least not for rogues. There is gear that can offset the advantage without gimping your character, but weapon skill is what would equate to expertise in later expansions, and isn't something you can TOTALLY make up alone with hit if I recall correctly.

Greetings, one of our guild members was hacked last night, and lost everything. (two members actually, but one of them isn't a big deal, we can buy them new gear) He currently has a ticket in, but hasn't received a response in about 6 hours of waiting. He was attempting to change his password since the server went down from what he heard about an individual breaching the DB but the website has been down and he was unable to change the password or set up 2FA (which i'm unable to do either, because for w/e reason I haven't received an email regarding the 2FA yet so I can't set it up) From what i'm understanding restorations cannot be done to a characters lost gear, but we as a guild are going to help him get his gear back, since the server is unwilling to rollback characters that have been breached. The only thing that we ask, he recently completed his Whirlwind Axe questline, and as i'm sure you can imagine, the hacker vendored his axe. We were wondering if it would be possible to reset the quest on his account, we as a guild want to drag him through the quest our selves to get him back on track so he can continue leveling, but while we can purchase him armor, losing that axe is a bit of a punch to the face since he wont get anything like it for a very long time. If an admin or moderator is available for help in this regard, or would like to provide any kind of information as to why it can't be done, feel from to drop a PM on the forums. Thanks in advance.

Feenix was always about the money lol

Its how your mind tends to remember the negative experiences over the positive. I've seen plenty of horde running solo, but not that many groups, yet my mind will immediately go to the horde that had grouped up when I think about questing in a zone that is neutral.

Just admit that the core was never nostalrius.
Xemni replied to Swineflu's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
No it isn't. I do not know what Nost you were playing, but this stuff was absolutely not on old Nost. For reference on stealth, you can go back and read up on what was broken about stealth on the Nost forums, and see that its completely different aspects that are busted here. For pets you can read the Nost hunters forums as well for reference material. Easter Dresses didn't drop, the Duskwood guard didn't give the quest, and Vanish wasn't cucked. Try again please. -

Xemni replied to Swineflu's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This is absolutely not the Nost core. If anything, its very similar to the core that Emerald Dream was running.when their vanilla realm was somewhat played. Leveled 1 - 60 and for the most part, the same hiccups are popping up that were on ED. Easter Dresses, guard in Duskwood giving you the final quest for the Orphan whistle, pet issues, stealth issues, Vanish not properly working, as well as a multitude of other things that have been reported by friends playing. Even things like World bosses being spawned that shouldn't be spawned are glaringly obvious signs. Is this core garbage? Not by any means. There is a lot working here that didn't even work on ED, but this is not the Nostalrius core, absolutely no way. Anyone with any knowledge of the private server development scene can see right through this, and i've dev'd on enough servers, and played on enough servers to pick up that this isn't the same core. White knights need to step down for a moment, literally defending nothing. Regardless of what core it is, my self and my friends are having fun and don't plan on leaving unless they absolutely botch major patches, but defending them like this, giving them the blanket they need to not communicate truth to us, is bull, and you're doing more harm to the community than any good. I don't want this to turn into another Feenix where there was no communication, and a complete clown fiesta in terms of lying, because the circle jerk fan boys and friends of the devs decided to sh1t post any thread asking for some transparency, and communication in regards to whats going on. Lets try to look at the bigger picture here, instead of kicking up the 'tism, boys and girls. -
Is the Elysium server really that much "better" than the Nostalrius server?
Xemni replied to Habskilla's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Blizzard servers in vanilla rarely had 20 min queues let alone 4 hour long queues lol Vanilla realms held somewhere between 3 to 5k players. Not 10k with another 4 - 6k trying to sign in. -

We're a North American guild that plans on end game raiding on the Alliance. Officers all have experience with end game raiding from Vanilla all the way up to Legion. Raid times are to be determined, raid days to be determined. DKP will be our loot system when we start end game raiding. As of right now we're just doing the leveling thing, anyone whom is looking for a place to chill while they level is more than welcome to join, hit up any of the officers in guild (Yeabro, Shatterz, Igottwodicks, Env, Guiltycross, juandeag, Frostyninja, Thiccdaddy, Luciddreaming, Draining, Homage} If you are easily offended, do not join this guild. If you join this guild you waive your right to get offended at anything said in this guild. Seriously, you've been warned. Need bags? Hit up twodicks. Have the cloth and he will make em. Need potions? Provide mats to yeabro and he will make them.
