Like so many of us, I could also tell multiple stories. But there's one that really stuck with me: When I started playing WoW in 2005, I was already over 20 years old and played with two IRL friends. We also made some IG friends along the way with whom we talked on TS. One day, me, my IRL and IG people were doing BRD. It took us some time and we were talking in TS, having fun. At one point, my IRL friend talked about me, referring to me as "she". One of the IG people was shocked and asked: "What, you're a girl?" (Again, we had been talking on TS before!) Me: "Ahhh, yes?" Him: "Oh, I thought you were a 13 year old boy." ... From this day on and to this day I very rarely talk on TS. (I could even tell you where we stood in BRD at that point :-))
