Fixation

When I type my account name / password it says "connection to server" for about 5 seconds then goes straight to disconnected from server. Do I need to uninstal my up to date world of warcraft? I would really like to play just unsure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried deleting the files in the wtf folder. I have never logged in so there wasn't any settings any way. Thanks for all the help can't wait to play with you guys.
