Well, pre-raid BiS doesn't include T1 because T1 is from raids. Also, T1 is pretty bad for some classes and there are plenty of BoE items that are better.

Disconnecting constantly after this update. It started out happening every like three minutes but now I just get DC'ed instantly upon logging in.

You can also kill the last two giants on the walkway to Princess. Technically you could kill all the giants but you'll have trouble with the patrolling elementals. The giants are buggy if you're at range and they'll just stand there throwing weak boulders for 100 damage, which has a range of like 25 or something less than spellcasting range. Just dot+wand them down from max range. They'll chase if they get into melee range so you may have to pull them by running through one of them and coiling it away while getting some distance. Good way to replenish shards, too.

This implies that you've removed the gear from most players but a handful flew under the radar for whatever reason. That's not the case at all. Out of curiosity, I decided to inspect the first 10 players of R7+ that I saw in Orgrimmar. Most of them still had level 60 PvP gear. Confused by this, I went around the city a bit more and inspected everyone I could find of a sufficiently high rank to have pieces of the set, and most of them still had level 60 pieces. It sort of seems like those without it are simply the ones who hit R7+ after it was removed from the shops. It kinda looks like you did little to nothing about it. Are you placing on us the entire burden of finding out who has level 60 gear, and reporting it to you so you can remove it player by player? Are you expecting the players to do this and actually catch everyone who has the items? That's completely unrealistic and ridiculous. If that's your approach, you might as well just put it back in the shop. At least that'll give everyone equal footing. Is there some problem that prevents you from simply removing the items through the database? Can't you just disable them? Give them no stats or something, if you can't delete them? This gear is absolutely gamebreaking now that players reaching those ranks after the items were removed from the shop can no longer get them, giving those who have them a massive advantage. For some classes, the ability to wear two pieces of each set makes the gear rival T2 in stats. Why have you not done what you promised to do over a week ago, and why are you now placing the burden of fixing it on the players?

When are you removing the level 60 gear? What's preventing you from doing it?

Rotgrip will probably be too hard in bad gear and I don't think the run is worth doing with just two bosses unless you're selling the rings, but you can do that.

You don't see thirty hackers and botters on a brief walk around the faction capital. It looks like most (possibly all) players who had level 60 gear before the announcement still have it. We're not talking about a handful of people here, apparently everyone who got their items before the announcement still have them. Are we supposed to send in hundreds upon hundreds of reports? Is it the playerbase's job to inspect each and every person they meet and file individual reports? Why? That is unrealistic and ridiculous. It'll never work. We know that it's possible to remove items through the database. It has been done before. You can either delete them or simply change their required level to 61 or something. Why haven't they done this? How can it be up to the players to report eachother and catch the hundreds of individuals who have items they shouldn't have? If it comes to that, people will just stop wearing the stuff outside their raids/premades. How can you ever hope to catch everyone? It's beyond absurd. The devs made a mistake and promised to fix it, and they simply haven't.

SM/Ruin or DS/Ruin in level 60 dungeons? Does it matter?Larsen replied to Toroto's topic in Warlock Doesn't matter very much in dungeons, but I'd take the +42 stamina group buff over +5% shadow damage any day of the week. Half the time you can't even do full DPS in pugs because the tank can't hold aggro. I prefer SM/Ruin for raids as well until AQ40 and Naxx, and you'll still want at least one in the raid even then.

People STILL have the items after today's maintenance. They're not on the vendors, though. This means that not only do people still have their level 60 items, they also have an unfair advantage over those who didn't get them while they could be bought. It's getting silly.

The thread was absent an hour ago when I checked the announcement forum.

Level 60 blue PvP gear is still there, and it looks like they've deleted the announcement.

Drain Life can be pretty strong against the classes that don't have an interrupt. It's viable for horde locks as they don't have to play against shamans. It can be a bit hard to fit the drain talents into a spec without giving up something like CoX and Imp. CoA, but if you can live without those, it's not a completely ridiculous idea. With just reasonably decent gear like the R10 set and Underworld Bands and stuff like that, you'll drain like 130 per second. That's a lot of healing. An added benefit of DL is that it doesn't count as direct damage so it doesn't break fear the way SB does, you can just dot and drain someone through a full fear duration. The DPS is a bit low on its own, but you'll also proc Nightfall like crazy when you're draining so it ends up being quite a bit more DPS than the DL itself seems to do. Consider that Corruption is a 4% chance every 3 seconds and DL is a 4% chance every second; you get three times as many Nightfall procs from DL as you do from Corruption. If your crit chance is low, DL isn't that much less damage than SB spam once you factor in the constant Nightfall procs and the fact that SB output drops like a rock the moment anything begins hitting you whereas DL DPS is unaffected by damage intake. Interesting thing about Fel Concentration is that it basically just reduces the effective mana cost of DL. You don't drain any slower when the channelling is pushed back from damage, it just ends sooner so you get fewer ticks. If you're not worried about mana consumption, you can just start draining again. Only once you've spent too much mana on it will it actually matter if you had pushback protection. If you didn't run out of mana during the fight, you didn't really gain anything from Fel Concentration. I would still take it if I was going for a drain spec but it isn't strictly necessary. In theory, if you had unlimited mana, Fel Concentration would basically do nothing. While you don't actually have unlimited mana, fights often end before you run out. If you're playing on Elysium in crap gear with little to no crit, taking the drain talents is not the worst idea in the world. You can have an Affliction tree that looks like this and not miss out on anything really crucial. I don't use the spec myself but I have considered it as SB feels pretty terrible in PvP without any crit gear. Obviously you still take Ruin but you don't have to use it in PvP.

How long are your levels taking?Larsen replied to Worldstar's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Ran out of quests at 58 so I had to do the rest with mobgrinding. 59-60 took like seven hours of non-stop grinding.

Horde is more growing then Alliance?Larsen replied to Take888's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Almost all the hardcores rolled alliance this time because that faction did a bit better on old Nost. There's like 10 times as many high-level alliance. Alliance players have nothing to worry about, I'm not sure there's one single established high-end guild on horde right now. Basically all the old power crews went alliance to capitalize on the power of paladins in PvE and premades. Try going to Blackrock Mountain right now. There'll be 20+ alliance milling about and not a horde in sight because they can barely get into the area. It's pretty bad being a 60 horde at the moment, it's hard to get anything done. If alliance is outnumbered in the lower levels, it's because half of them are already 55+. I've seen several horde groups fall apart today because they just can't get into BRM.

	It doesn't work. Does nothing.

Improved Curse of Exhaustion confirmed doing nothing. I just tested it several times. Even with points in it, it slows only by 10%.

Improved Curse of Exhaustion doesn't work. Despite putting points in it, the tooltip still says 10% and mobs move at about 90%.

I love the disgustingly elitist "I give up on you all!" because some people have a different opinion, backed up by extensive examples against nothing but "this is the best, you suck if you don't think so." Really shows you what some people are like. You don't even try to explain what it is you think somehow makes it so that you kill faster and avoid pet mana/aggro issues. Just insult everyone who doesn't have the same opinion as yours. Even specced for VW aggro (an investment of eight talent points that otherwise do basically nothing for your leveling efficiency), the VW can't hold aggro from anything beyond two dots and wand. It cannot maintain its mana when chain-grinding mobs, it's a self-evident fact. Even if you have it stop taunting when the mob is at 30%, it'll run out of mana after like five back-to-back fights. The drain spec lets you use full dots if you want, plus the significantly higher DPS of draining over wanding, and you have unlimited health and mana plus you never have to worry about pet aggro. Nobody has yet provided any actual arguments for how the VW route is "much faster." Besides, even on a server of this population, getting ganked while grinding happens relatively rarely in most areas. Maybe three times on the way to 60 have I been in a situation where having the VW out instead of succubus would have made any difference at all. If you're not an idiot trying to grind in STV, you just don't get ganked often enough for it to be a serious issue. Succubus saved me several times as well in situations like higher-levels ganking where VW shield would have done nothing more than make it take five seconds longer to die. I tried speccing VW at 55 because I was bored, and it was terrible in comparison. Kills were slower and I had downtime between mobs because of pet mana. Dots would run out when mobs were at like 15% hp and I'd have to re-dot in order to get the kill with drain soul. Specced back to dark pact drain after half a level, I see nothing in the VW spec that makes it better for leveling.

No it hasn't. This is literally the first time ever that any server has had this kind of population at release. Nost started with about 2k players and slowly grew over the course of a year to reach 10k. Nost PvE only had like 3k or so as well. Nothing has ever been even slightly close to 11.5k players starting at the same time. Nothing has even been half that much, actually. It's utterly unprecedented.
