I can't login, I disconnected around 30 minutes ago, and now when I log in it says handshaking succes connecting, then disconnected from server. Is the server down? Am I banned? What's going on?

It works! Thanks a bunch! However, I found the culprit. It is my config file (which I have added commands in for graphical in-game improvements) and one of the settings in it is causing it to give the disconnected from server message I think. If I delete the config file while leaving the WTF folder there, it will still let me log in, so it must be the config file. Could you help me out perhaps what line is causing the problems in my config file? I really want to run my WoW game in high definition. Tried it, worked somewhat, I could log in, and it asked me to choose a realm, I chose Anathema, and then the message popped up again ''disconnected from server'' and i'm back at the login screen. If I try afterwards logging in again with my details it gives me the same old message of ''disconnected from server''

It is Nostalrius their fault for selling out to Blizzard and on that premise shutting down the token generator way too early. Elysium couldn't do anything about the decisions of these individuals.

People all hope is gone now for those who have not transfered, as with the renaming of the server realms in Elysium all unclaimed characters have been completely deleted, forever. Might as well close this topic. Nostalrius shut down the token generator because Blizzard hired them to create Legacy servers, and told them to do that. That is right, Blizzard told Nostalrius to shut down the token generator. They've said it themselves. So in the end I was right, money DOES make the world go around. There's that for that kid who called me a snowflake. You're a snowflake yourself. And I was right to about giving Blizzard all the shit, because in the end, they were the ones who deserved it. And fyi, i'm talking to you, @Nippers you're the spoilt snowflake.

It's okay man, I'm lucky the Elysium community is still such a great community. At first when I was leveling my new undead warlock it felt like crap, doing all the quests I did a while back on Nost all over again, but as I started to grow and grow I finally started enjoying playing again which I do to this day :)

Since the shutdown of the token generator on 17 december 2016 no one has given us an answer as to why it was down, and left us waiting. I have started over again now, but the wounds it gave us players are still there. They've promised us a half year transfer period, what we got was only a week.

I have started over again, I advise you guys to do the same IF you still want to enjoy the WoW vanilla experience. Rest in peace to our lost characters.. You will be missed dearly along with your memories, your friends on your friends list, your guild, etc.

I have already sort of given up, and created a new character which with I am now finally making progress. I say stop wasting potential time to level up, and start leveling! I mean even offering money won't make people move to do whatever they can. The answer ''Elysium can't do anything about it'' is not logical because they know the persons behind Nostalrius, opposed to us players who have no idea who these people are and can not contact them in any way.

This appeals alot to me. I think Blizzard could be behind it, threatening the people behind Nostalrius with juridical consequences if they would ever speak out on anything regarding this certain topic.

Explain to me how you can demand something from a group of people who are giving a free service of something. Really, what does being a snowflake or not have to do with this? I'm offering something for everyone here with a proper solution, instead of just demanding more free service of a free service. Money makes the world go around kid.

Hey, buddy, I've enjoyed Nostalrius for months before, with no problems at all, had a great time and met a lot of great friends. I get that you're pissed off, deep down somewhere we're all pissed off, but atleast we can be grown ups about it. After all, it's a free service they've provided us. And Nostalrius has been the greatest private server for WoW on earth for years, and still is unparalleled. If we should actually give someone shit, it should be Blizzard, who've been ruining our lives since they have been taken over by Activision in 2007. And they actually made us pay for it from our hard earned money to.

Waiting here to till it works again. Hope I will be able to play tonight (GMT+1) since I have to relevel a new undead char as my old lvl 47 has been lost due to the broken token system.

Surely anyone who is able to can be persuaded to fix this problem by getting paid real money right? Because I know I would pay for my character to be transfered. Who else would pay for their character to be transfered?

Hell, I would create a fundraiser and donate a 100 dollars myself to make a point! I would donate that just to get my character back! The finishing money would go to the old Nostalrius developers or to anybody who has the ability to fix this! And I know my character is still in the server, because I couldn't choose its name as a name for a new character!!

This is a message to Pottu. Pottu, please help us stranded players out. You're our only hope right now to get this fixed! You have the contact details to the other old Nostalrius staff and you perhaps have access to the Token system. I've seen your reply concerning the token system and it gave me a lot of hope! Please do what's right, and help us out. @Pottu

I still wonder what the reason might be that they're still not responding officially to the community. I think it either has to do with the fact they don't want to flood the Elysium server with new token character transfer entries, or that the old Nostalrius guys somehow caught this major work-related burnout in real life which made them decide to collectively leave the whole ordeal alone for a while.
