  1. So with console codes on retail, we have groundEffectDenstiy and groundEffectDist. The former increases ground clutter (Grass and flowers), and the latter increases the distance they spawn. In vanilla, all we have is FrillDensity which is the same as groundEffectDenstiy, but we don't have something like FrillDist. How hard would it be to add this into the engine? The Frill distance is comically low in vanilla. http://i.imgur.com/dIofoGi.jpg Left side looks so nice, but the ground clutter hardly even reaches to the other side of the road. It would make the game look a million times better without taking away the vanilla WoW feeling.
  2. Naw, that's for mobs and stuff. Ground clutter is client side assets that have no connection to the server whatsoever. That would be akin to saying they only allow lower rez textures because the server. You can turn on developer console and jack the ground clutter up to 256 (twice as much as in-game sliders allow), but it will do nothing to the server. I guess what I'm curious about, is the possibility for a patch that could be downloaded that would add a console command which would increase ground clutter distance. There is already patches like Improved Models Patch, or warmanes client that has WoD character models ported into their WotLK client.
  3. I wouldn't mind all levels being released. My dang rogue is stuck unable to be retrieved with the name I've used for years on everything, but the process for trying to get it back seems so convoluted I don't even want to try. Maybe release the names but not the characters themselves? I've seen a private server do that before. Make all un-transferred characters be renamed some gibberish and require a re-name. Then if anyone does transfer their characters this late in the game, the worst that happens is they lose their name, but at least not their character.
  4. This is WAYYYYY out of hand. They're all from the same damn gold site as well. I don't see why you can't have filters that at the very least give one hour mutes for strings like "G4W0W" "G4WoW" or any other way of wording it. I cannot escape the spams, I miss PMs because they blend into the constant pm spams as well. Just having something like ".report playername" which goes through a bot that checks for strings like G4W0W and immediately mutes that player afterwords, would suffice. Or just turn off the inviting to chat functionality entirely. These spams aren't worth having the ability to invite to chats that pretty much no-one uses, and there's no way to turn off these requests in-game by players.
