Please cap respec cost at 5 gold.
Tinkler replied to Numeta's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
We just have a better understanding of economics. When the price to respec is high, people accept a player's spec as given. If it were close to free, people would demand that you respec constantly. We see this same behavior in things like university education as it applied to the job market. When a large percentage of people are educated, employers can demand absurd requirements for entry level positions. The easier it is to have absurd demands, the more likely it becomes. When there is no cost to respec, you could be turned down for a dps spot in stratholme because the party wants an ice mage and you happen to be an arcane mage. Maybe you won't spend the 5g to respec, but they can find someone else who will. Then you'll come back and demand it cost 100g to respec. -
I can't connect to the pve server. The population dropped to 1000 right now, so apparently some people can still play.

I love seeing all of these threads about antisocial behavior on the pvp servers. On the pve server, people of the opposing faction will try to help you if you're in trouble. The guys on the pvp server need to deal with members of their own faction trying to grief them.

Darrowshire's population is similar to ZK, but there's never a shortage of people. Methinks you're having trouble finding people to group with because the people on that server do not want to group. People join the PVP server to PVP. Spending 4 hours in BRD is not PVP.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a person, and that's why we had to kill him.

I've seen this on Kronos, and I think it's part of modern day retail wow. Chests are treated like dead bodies. Greens and stuff are rolled on according to the group loot rules. There's no possible way to ninja the contents of the chest. I bring this up because I'm sick of seeing people ninja stuff in BRD. This was also a problem in vanilla WoW in Molten Core. Let's just fix that and make it impossible to ninja things in chests.

Are you running the game in full screen mode or windowed mode? I have a very high end computer and my fps can drop quite a bit if I'm in windowed mode.

Make a grey (tagged by other player) immune to polymorph.
Tinkler replied to Kambo's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
That's very blizz-like. When you poly something, it immediately gets full life. Not being able to poly a grey mob would be a good idea. We already have it so I can't cast blessing of salvation on people outside of my party, and I'm reasonably certain blizz did that to stop griefing. It prevents paladins from putting that on hunter pets so they constantly lose agro. -
A Frank Address And Statement on Recent Events and Revelations

Fair enough. You and your guild mates have every right to withdraw all financial support. If you honestly think the server is not worth supporting, you need to back those words with actions. Do the right thing. Delete all of your characters and never return. Instruct all of your guild mates to do the same. -

I think you spelled "kill himself" wrong. Misguided or not, results matter. If I get drunk, try driving my car, and I kill someone, what is the legal consequence for that? Can I go to court and say that my intentions were never to hurt anyone? That doesn't fly. Results are results. End of story. Regardless of intent, bad people need to be banned. If it were possible to have them charged with fraud and thrown in jail, that too would be a valid option. -
Your customization ruined something. Fix, now.

Is the PVP server really that busy? Even when the PVE server had 5k on at one time, I've never had that many people /w me to join my group. At the most, maybe 3 people will be available for a very popular instance like SM Cath. I notice that certain words are blocked. I said I was jewish and it silenced me for a really long time. -
I screwed up that part too. I thought cancelling it would let me keep the rod, but it destroyed the rod, and I can't get it back.

Man, I had to change my name TWICE because stupid feminist dipshits complained. Character name was Phallus.

It's not a current mod; the mod is from 2006. Did anyone read the comments on the link saying it's a 10% drop rate? The people posting there are saying that it's nowhere near 10%. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11086#wh-comments (Jang'thraze) "This took me about 20 Zul'Farrak runs in total to get" (patch 2.0.1) "Is this drop rate correct? I've done this over 15 times and still no sword... 19% seems pretty high for that not to happen. Anyone?" (patch 3.1.3) "AtlasLoot says 1.72% drop chance dunny it also says otehr sword is 2% yet i got that one in 2nd try now im on like try 35 for this one" (patch 3.1.3) "stupidly hard to get. if youre after this sword, beware. nothing but "Big bad Pauldrons" will drop for at least 50 times. not everyone is a warrior blizz." (patch 2.4.2) "Sword does not exist, and it is definitely not a 9% drop rate -.- 24 kills and going for my paladin. Edit: finally got it on 29 woot!" (patch 3.1.3) This seems to be the general consensus in other parts of the internet. https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/534914-world-of-warcraft/47296990 (8 years ago) "Neither are any easier than the other. They both have like a 1-2% drop rate." http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/534914-world-of-warcraft/47208924 (8 years ago) "Thought so [it's not worth it], my frined said he got both of them in 6 runs which sounds almsot impossible." "The sword you have has about a 1% drop rate, the other one you are trying to get has a 2% drop rate... I would keep trying to get it since you already have got the hard one out of the way." And that is why I've only seen it a couple times. It's extremely hard to get. Blizz (in 2005-2006) expects you to run a dungeon 5 times to get the blue gear, but you'll need to run 50+ times if you want purple gear. To get a sense of how Vanilla worked, look at the effort required to turn the blue D1 armor sets into the purple D2 armor sets. It's a huge investment of time and money. Blizz never gave purple gear to people who ran a dungeon 2 or 3 times and then moved on. Look at the drop rate of Ironfoe from the end boss of BRD. It was less than 1%, and I've never personally seen it drop. The effort required to craft dark iron gear is ridiculous, and that's just for blue gear. Purple is an order of magnitude rarer and harder to get.

Why would you play on a pvp server if you don't like being ganked? The whole point of being on a pvp server is to be used and abused like a cheap hooker. It's like Tinder without the syphilis.
