So the server is dead as fuck and I've been looking for a BFD group for hours and so I started spamming whispers asking people to go who were level 25-30, I found a few and then all of a sudden I can no longer whisper ANYONE, nor can I talk normally, in general or in world. Basically, the only thing I can do is type in party chat now. This is a bunch of bullshit, I'm not a spammer and it's common practice to spam whispers to people your level (since we have no dungeon finder). This needs to get fixed like now it's absolutely infuriating to be muted for asking people to run a dungeon. Now I have to rely on my party members to find people and they aren't having any luck so I'm probably gonna end up logging now.

  4. I've getting sick of being a nobody and doing nothing with my life. I got an associates degree in business and it's basically led me nowhere. I've recently looked into coding and it really interests me. I've always liked computers, I used to neglect my studies to play vanilla when I was a kid. It seems pathetic (maybe not to you guys) but I would like nothing more than to be a part of the dev team and help these people make these servers the best they can be and help you all enjoy it as much as I did. Do you guys have any idea of a plausible path to making this a reality? I want to be somebody. I live in Colorado.
  5. I think it goes without saying that Anathema is a shining pinnacle of a vanilla wow private server except one glaring fact: the downtime. The deziens of Anathema are constantly punished for playing there; we're constantly singled out. I have no problem with maintenance and updates; I have a problem with the other 3 servers being up for HOURS while Anathema stays down. Why is it that that particular server is the candidate for HOURS of extra maintenance that the other servers are completely immune from? Just now the servers went down for about 2 hours without warning and were happily brought back up - except of course for Anathema. While we speak it has been down for extra 2 hours completely separate from the other 3 servers. I honestly am getting a little sick of it, what makes this server so special that it needs an extra two hours of work? Certainly, it is running the same core; Darrowshire had BWL recently brought online. What's the issue? I picked that server as my main and in the past months of me playing on it this has happened probably 8 times. Sitting around waiting for my server to come back while the others are happily up. I know you guys do great work and it is a free server, I have no reason to complain. But then again I do. I don't have a problem with downtime. I have a problem with being SINGLED OUT every damn time there's maintenance. It seems I made a mistake; did I?
  6. There's also 10 more years of technology and progression than vanilla wow and 2004. I'm not sure what your point is. The point is that anathema is being singled out not that this is a free server. Please take your down-talking elsewhere we aren't idiots here.

  8. Yes; punished. 25% of the servers are subject to 2 hours of extra maintenance every time there is maintenance. Guess which 25% that is? Go ahead and pick a word better suited to that situation. Rewarded? Exempted? I think punished works exceptionally well in this case.
  9. Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't there 2 test realms for this exact purpose? And why is the top population PVP server the one where sandboxing type changes applied to. It is without a doubt the best server Elysium has, why do they continue to fuck around on it like this? We're all getting sick of it. If you wanna screw around do it on Elysium where I am currently leveling in a cesspool of cancer because Anathema is down. There's probably 250+ people in Deathknell.

    I checked the bug tracker and I saw this issue was marked invalid; I assure you that it is not. The quest should be gettable. It has not been done, I meet all reqs for it and this is a bug.
  13. There's a quest in Desolace called Fish in a Barrel where you're supposed to collect 10 shellfish, turn them in for two bloodbelly fish(?) as a quest. I was able to fish up the 10 shellfish I needed for this quest but when I go back to Jinar' Zillen he has no such quest for me. I'm following a guide and so I didn't look for the quest until after I had the fish. It seems as though this quest is broken, you're supposed to be able to turn shellfish into those other fish at will in stacks of five. Can someone confirm this? Because I really hate missing out on exp. When I talk to him all he does is give a dialogue about air fissures under the water, there are no quests to accept.   15. So I've noticed multiple problems with mindflay 1. Druids can shapeshift out of mindflay which is total garbage and was never a thing in retail. 2. Mindflay immediately breaks when the target gets out of range. In retail mindflay sticks for ~10 yards outside of its range when the target leaves. Either increase mindflay's range to 30yds or have it perform properly. 20 yds is completely laughable to just walk out of range. I will update with more priest bugs as I find them.
  16. One thing I've noticed as a caster is that if literally anyone is in your face you won't be able to get off a spellcast. Even warriors with 2Hers will most of the time render you completely helpless to cast even the quickest spells (mind blast, flash heal). The spell pushback in COMPLETELY overdone. I played vanilla, I remember still getting off spellcasts even with a rogue in your face. I feel the problem is that the current system will always negatively pushback your cast, in retail, there was a limit. You couldn't start attacking a 2 second cast and push it all the way back to zero; on here you can. It completely gimps cast classes against instant cast classes. Even I as a priest with shield, I can't even imagine being a warlock or a mage. In retail there are diminishing returns, same as CCs. You can keep hitting that caster but eventually he's going to get off the cast. Here, that's not the case, I've had 75% spells pushed back to zero and it is absolutely infuriating. I personally would reccomend cutting the pushback by half or adding a diminishing returns type system. Even world mobs can completely destroy any chance you have at casting with 1+ sec autos. Another thing I've noticed, DOTs and other damage spells will pushback a cast. I know for a FACT that DOTs do not pushback, even in vanilla. It's happened in dungeons, battlegrounds, everywhere. Only physically initiating a damage spell, autoing/wanding, or purpose made instants (shocks) pushback spells. Getting a CoA on you does NOT constitute a pushback. A CoA ticking does NOT constitute a pushback. Maybe it's just me but I feel that (especially being on a PVP server), the spell pushback is atrocious. You could get off casts in vanilla with 5 people on you with enough time, on here, good luck with that. This needs to be balanced, as a caster I feel this is literally the biggest barrier in PVP right now. If you have a rogue in your face you can be 100-0ed in the span of a Flash Heal which is not a thing. And no I'm not talking because of the dmg or interupts, I'm talking about the pushback. Their damage is fine. Diminishing returns or halved pushback would be far more blizz like. The current system is completely stacked against any class with focused casts or channels.

    Mind Flay is breaking immediately when the target leaves the 20-yard range when it should stick for another ~ 10 yards. 20 yards is far too easy to just walk out of range to break it. This is a serious bug; priests count on this buffer zone so people can't just walk out of range and so Mind Flay sticks for extra damage after fearing. Effectively you need to start mind flay with them right on top of you when you fear or else it will break. Increase the range to 30 yards or fix the buffer zone please.

  20. I most definitely am right. It's the only slow that druids can't shapeshift out of and flat out dispelling it on shapeshift is bullshit

  22. This isn't retail-like. Mindflay stuck in vanilla. Shapeshifting doesn't remove dots, mindflay is a DoT.
  23. I've had DoTs in multiple instances as well as battlegrounds cause pushback. Prime example, the ticking disease on the troggs at the begining of Gnomer. Dot causing puhsback.
