I should make a salt farm

Things seem to be a bit uncertain with Nostalrius at this moment. I'd recommend playing on Elysium in the mean time though.

Nostalrius pulled their character database a few days after launch so people were unable to recover their characters afterwards.

If you're willing to continuously corpse-run or stay logged on while you get camped nobody can help you with that. This was one of the major factors influencing people into having alts. People on the fresh realm (Elysium PvP) will experience this all in good time. There is no escaping it on a PvP realm.

Hopefully the team can do something with this.

Hey guys this is something that I think the Devs/GMs and community in general might find interesting - about a week or so ago my account was hacked by gold spammers and subsequently banned. Prior to the ban I had received lots of spam from gold farmers just like every other player, however after the ban I have noticed not one single gold-farmer has whispered me. So far the ban has pretty much been nothing short of a blessing, so I thought I'd share this with the community. I don't need a spam filter, DND, or .wr on/off. Maybe Elysium staff can use this to their advantage?

Well, it certainly didn't take long for the entitledlings to arrive.. I don't suppose you've considered that this is a temporary fix? +1

Imho I've never seen any appeal in watching people play a game when I can play it myself. Why do people watch these streams to begin with?

The community spirit here is amazing, and the work done by the Elysium (Nostalrius) GMs aids the sense of community considerably. Seeing most of us are playing this game free of charge, I thought I would offer my services in hopes of aiding some of my fellow gamers in maintaining or improving their overall well-being. Being a Personal Trainer, and aspiring Exercise Scientist/Endocrinologist I possess a sound knowledge of nutrition, and exercise physiology, and it always puts a smile on my face when I see people making a change of lifestyle for the better. So, if you feel you need some assistance/advice for achieving any goals, whether you're a veteran or simply starting out, don't hesitate to flick me a message with any questions you might have. Please note that I live in Western Australia, so for anyone overseas my replies may not be instantaneous, but I will get back to you. Remember, everything should be taken in moderation. Even World of Warcraft! Take regular breaks and have a stretch, or go grab a meal/drink. Happy gaming!

Go buy gold on retail and let us know how that goes. Unless Alan Brack decided to introduce the purchase of gold to the Blizzard website, you will get banned if they find out.

1. Don't agree to server rules if you haven't read them. 2. When has any server including retail given out temporary bans to players for the purchasing of WoW gold? The answer is *never*. 3. You took the time to make an account and write a post just to abuse admin.. People who take time out of their day to provide this service to many of us for absolutely nothing in return? Don't blame the volunteer GMs or anyone else for your lack of common sense, or enormous sense of entitlement.

I suspect my account was compromised (I was banned whilst I was asleep) through the release of user credentials from an unnamed server (as stated in their news on the homepage). There has been a lot of mass bans going on with legitimate players from the old servers who also used the same server during Nostalrius' hiatus. The anti-cheat is good, but not perfect, however I'd just like to hear what the GMs have to say rather than making blind assumptions.

Clicking on the subject just directs you to a page that says; "Oh no. Something went wrong :("
