Yeah seems like the character selection has a HUGE timeout timer. I guess people are taking advantage of it while they are at work, so they can jump straight back in once they get home. Needs to be changed a bit.

These servers have plenty of people to have an active BG base. There's no need for it.

I doubt Elysium will ever have high XP rate servers, although I'm sure other servers have this on offer, just not here.

I'm completely fine with the timeline, I kind of figured it would be like this. I like gearing up multiple toons and MC being top dog for a while will make that easy.
