Turns out I am being accused of buying gold. No proof given, just "You bought gold" as the message from the GM. Oh well. I didn't but it doesn't matter because they said it is now closed and no way to reopen. Not like the servers will last long this time anyway since they were sued before by Blizzard for intellectual property and had to take the servers down or pay up. Now they brought the servers back online and plan to make another one? Yeah... like that won't draw attention. Good luck to all! It is a good idea for nostalgic purposes, but with a team that seems rather snobby when it comes to GM related/ban issues I don't see people staying around for a long time.

I agree Lazyshot. I am going to make another account I guess because I got 3 people I supervise at work to play with me here and now they are wondering what happened. I explained to them but I would rather them not lose interest if I am not there to help. I really hope that the ban is lifted and I can go back to business as usual though. Like you I put alot of time into my hunter and would love to continue where I left off. I just want a reason why.

This sort of thing happened alot on retail. Being that this is FAR LESS secure I would expect it that much more. I just got banned overnight with no reason given and I seriously wish I could get back on.

I honestly have no idea why my account was "closed" and no longer available. I have sent messages to a couple of moderators on here (with no replies). So has anyone EVER got unbanned from Nostalrius? I would love to continue playing with the friends I convinced to come with me, but if I can't get back on I doubt they will stay either.

Dear Admin, Today I have tried logging onto my Nostalrius PVP account in the last hour and it says "This World of Warcraft account has been closed and is no longer available for use". I was leveling my hunter (Ruukas) and my priest (Wintre) last night from another ISP on my laptop while visiting family. I came home this morning and tried to login on my desktop and got the message above. If any admin could help sort this out soon that would be great! I have brought a few friends here from work and we plan to all level together and bring in other friends we know in the area once we know everything is stable. Aside from this account closure, everything is pretty great. I have been playing retail since Alpha testing and have played on quite a few other free servers. I have helped on other free servers in the past on the forums and in game. I have been completely helpful and respectful of other players while on Nostalrius and I hope to continue on. I took a break from World of Warcraft for 3 years and decided to come back here. My connection on the wifi yesterday was garbage at best and I did play alot of Warsong Gulch on my hunter and lagged alot but did not want to give up!

Hello Nostalrius Staff (if you read this) I have started playing on your PVP server last week and brought 3 of my friends along for the ride as well. However, I traveled yesterday and used my laptop to login wirelessly at another residence to play. When I tried to login to my desktop today it says "account closed". I honestly don't understand. The connection over the wifi was very sketchy to begin with and lag was an issue in Warsong Gulch. I am extremely helpful with everyone I encounter as I have played since Alpha testing and on many other "free" servers. I know I did not participate in hate speech or other actions that would deem a ban so I am very confused! I have sent some items and gold to friends to help them out as they begin their journey.
