You are free to make as much accounts as you wish in retail, I don't get the point with that. And yeah I didn't bother with my account security, because I thought the server's security is legit. I admit that... Just don't understand why you people are defending the lack of security and management of nost when is obvious there is a problem with it. And I also gave an example how some of the issues can be avoided. Fuck me and my account. I will be gone, but are you going to do nothing if you are getting hacked and get suspended for advertising? You are really going to be so okay with it that you are going to start over without saying anything and accepting that you can get fcked up? Now you are going to say that this is my problem, but mate this can happen to anyone. I used pretty unique passwords for my bnet account yet they still managed to hack it. It all stopped after i got authenticator tho... Not that I can do it here. Yes i am more careless with my accounts here and usually have the same password and acc inf for almost any server i played in. I can take a punishment, like being banned for a week and be forced to chnge my password and stuff, but getting permenent ban, because they can't protect us? I don't think it's fair. And what I hate most is being accused for something that is not my fault like selling/buying/advertising gold.

Nah... Just extract and play. I am just not really sure if you have to change the realmlist , because I am not on my PC to check :/

Also I don't know if you are aware but there is a massive hackfest going on to people who have used the same acc information in previous servers, so if you also use an old combination I highly recommend you to change your password before start doing anything

You haven't. Just find the "extract" option and select the folder where you want your game to be. Aaand you are ready to go ;o

To be honest I would be fcking amazed if a gold spammer spend so much time talking about this issues with people who are not even able to help him. :D

Okay tell me what I didn't do then? That is so suspicious. About the changing password thing is just to show that the server lacking some acc managing options that can make things much more easier. What is so incredibly suspicious I just don't understand?

And looking it from your point of view they can simply auto-send email everytime the password is changed... Dude are we really talking about that? Did you read my whole post or you are skipping some information. All you are "hearing" is not eveything as I see... Did you see that "said" I tryed to contact with GMs? And I got banned without notification.. I won't repeat myself mate.... Are you having trouble reading? I know my english is far from perfect but I think the majority of english speakers understand me quite well...

The case is that, the person who got into my account didn't bother to change the password or anything. I could still use it. I just happeed to find out that it was stolen. But please login with your account make a screenshot, blurr your mail,accname and show me where in the control panel is the option for changing the password. Guess what, there isn't. Did you really read what I wrote or you like to skip what you don't need? I know that I can reset my password but why should I do it in a way like I have forgotten it? Why can't I do it in the site without the need to get in my mail first? This is stupid. And this is the only way....

Dude, I got hacked and I tryed to contact with a GM before the ban happened. Yet I couldn't, because idk why.... so I got banned without notification even tho I have had opened a ticket at the same time. Tell me what would you do in this case? Start over? Nobody has checked my ban appeal yet, I am pretty sure they won't unbann me, because I didn't pay attention when making my account. But do you really think that getting your account suspended for gold spamming, by another person from your account justified? If that so, I really hope something something similar to happen to you mate, so you can really see the situation from another point of view. My account in blizz got locked at least 10 times due to suspicious loggins from Asia while I live in Eastern Europe. I don't think it's that hard to make a system that can do that by simply checking the IP address you are logging from and if you are loggin from 2 cities that are in a thousand km's distance far away from each other, but you logged like in the last 5 hours... kinda suspicious, don't you think... The account can be locked and you can start recovery process. But here? Noooo, this is a volunteer project, so we should accept everything they say. I like the server overall, but in the last 24h I started to hate the community and the devs and staff... Ingame everything was almost perfect. I would like to see the server improve, but I don't understand why the heck everyone is defending the lack of management of this server. It's fcking obvious it sucks, mate. Check the goddamn control panel in the home page. You don't even have an option to change your friggin password, so what you have to do is click the forgotten password to reset it. This is something simple that they miss and there are plenty other stuff... I hope most of you don't get me wrong. I am not a blizzfan nor I want the server to die. I would like it to stay as long as it can, so we can show blizz that people don't like what are they doing wih the game. But elysium/nostalrius has to do something with the "customer" support an management. Also I have one last question: Do you really think that these gold spammers would try to get back their accounts, like they are going to put so much effort in it, when they know how easily they can get caught again?

Yeah, actually I will not miss this community and to be honest I thought it was much better. Mistakes can happen, but all they say is that you are an idiot, because you haven't done this, or that, etc.. I wish the same people saying that, taste the ваууig ban and then see and feel the ignorance of the so called volunteers and фекал... I am done with this server, yet I really hope it changes for the good of the future players and the non toxic current ones. I like how it's our fault, because they can't manage their problems. I've been hacked many times in retail, yet I didn't hav to complain in forums and to be honest, right now I ваууing hate myself saying this, because I love private servers. The sad truth is that the management of most private servers is ваууing фекал. I really liked this server, but i prefer to play with less people in a server where i know that this wouldn't happen.

Well, you will never find out mate unless they decide to tell you. This sucks I know. I was just happy to find that out. Also it doesn't mean you were sending whispers while you were playing, It may happen while you have been offline you know. You just happened to be online while they banned you without warning.

Well all I know is that massive amount of accounts are being hacked and used for gold selling/advertising. And I don't know if the staff are using anit-cheat system or w/e, but a lot of accounts are being banned for no reason. This is what I can help you with. I was just lucky to find out about that, because yesterday I saw my warrior was kicked out from the guild, so I asked the guild master what it was about. So he told me he received a screenshot from a random dude where you can see my character whispering someone with one of those gold selling advertises. I tried to contact with a GM/mod/admin, but my account got suspended before that. I just don't understand why nobody warned me from the GM that I am doing something wrong or anything you know.. This is a big issue.. I know that GMs are volunteers and everything, but when you do something at least do it the right way man, or do not do it at all... It's really easy for those who are not banned to say that they are not getting paid so everything is fine, but people are putting a lot of time into this фекал and you know that. Put yourself in our place by being banned without warning and reason, then we can talk about it. For me, this probably will be the end here, but at least I have not played for so long. I am sure there are people who are in Nostalrius for longer and are getting ваууed up aswell. It ain't cool... I hope they change something not only, because of the veterans, but also for the new players who don't know what they are getting into..

How did you contact with Admins/moderators? Because I can't... I am sure that we all are in the same фекал. I got banned like 5-6 hours ago and if it wasn't for my guild master I wouldn't know why. These f**king gold spammers have info from old servers somehow, and spam through your character. Now there is a big misunderstanding and people are getting banned for no real reason. I was kicked out of the guild and when I asked why the GM gave me a screenshot of my character spamming another guy with gold selling site info.... Yet I don't understand why no one is telling you what is happening. Like I got banned while I was ingame and no one warned me or something, like telling me what I did wrong at least. I know that all the people working on the project as volunteers, but when you do something, do it how it is supposed to be done, or do not do it at all. I am pretty mad at the moment, but at least my characters are not that old. I know that there are and will be people that will suffer much more. I know that no one will give a single **** about it, because I see what is the attitude towards the players, but I am leaving this place and I am taking my buddies with me. I hope the future players never experience the same thing as we do. Also, staff should consider some changes, like a normal f**king tool for changing password for example???? Even I can do that.... When I found out that my account might be hacked I couldn't change my password... I had to use the "forgotten password" tool to do so.. Really, Elysium/Nostalrius? Please put more options in this so called "Control Panel". Another thing: Please when you ban someone, GIVE HIM SOME INFO AT LEAST! There is no info anywhere with a reason or anything. Anyone can be banned basically NOTHING. Do you even research or talk with players before you decide to suspend their accounts for unknown amount of time? Yeah, I don't even know if I am banned for 24h, a month or forever. My account is suspended and that's all. Also I can't contact with anyone as I said in the beginning. I created a new account just to open a ticket and try to contact with someone so he can tell me where the f**k I can find someone that can really help me and waited for hours. Why don't they just respond me? I've used the ticket system before and I didn't have to wait for more than 30 mins and suddenly no one can answer me for 2 hours where I can contact with admins/mods? There is not a single link on the server's home page to this forum. Making people even more nervous and frustrated when trying to fix their stuff.. It feels like they are ignoring the situation and I know that they don't.
