erm... like i said, an excuse to not solve the problem. its like putting up a forum for tech support, not putting any actual staff on that forum and hoping that every issue is solved for every customer by other customers who figure out the fixes (no thats not what im saying is happening in this forum, its an example of how this problem has been 'solved')/ 3rd party addon that implements a temporary ignore is NOT a fix.

What temper tantrum? I pointed and said "THIS is an issue" and it IS an issue. If installing that 3rd party addon makes you happy and solves the problem for you thats great. I however feel that it is a non solution. Its mere existence is an excuse to not solve THE problem.

Im sure you are perfectly capable of posting an intelligent response to my thread... if you have any actual intelligent responses go ahead, chime in any time you like. This IS a problem, this IS NOT being addressed properly.

I did not say that accounts were stolen here due to security flaws, i said that the GMs are not doing enough to monitor the spammers and i absolutely stand by that accusation. Reporting a spammer does not result in that spammer being insta banned, it never does, it never will and thus... thats NOT a solution to the problem. THE solution is to implement a built in PERM ignore such as the one on later versions of retail. P.S. an addon is NOT the solution. - the "ignore" feature on retail not only adds that player to your ignore it also REPORTS the abuse. IF there is anyone monitoring these reports that player is booted in short order (though rarely is that instant). I have no problem what so ever with deleting my toons and deleting my account here. im not emotionally attached to this game the way i was in actual vanilla, i play an hour or 2 a day max and not every day. It does not matter to me how "good" a game is, if I have to suffer spam that there is no reliable way to block FOR EVER then the game is garbage. PERIOD. Yes I know the fan bois are now all going to come out of the woodwork and tell me they love it even with the spam and thats fine. I on the other hand cannot abide the non stop annoyance of the spammers where i have absolutely NO reliable way to block them. Its like playing poker in vegas and winning every hand, all the while being constantly stabbed in the eye by some of the other players.

sure... report them and 20 hours later they are banned... meanwhile whoever they stole the account from now has to figure out how to get UNbanned and unkeylogged. Reporting them is utterly pointless, it doesnt stop a damned thing.

No, im not installing a 3rd party addon for this. Its either built in or its useless. Also. 3600 seconds is NOT long enough, ive suffered constant spam from the same spammer for hours on end telling me that NOBODY is monitoring this situation at all. IF the GMs dont give a crap why should I play here? Ill go play on wow-mania where i already have 1 level 80 and 7 level 70's. You think Im going to level that many toons here through the constant spam your nuts. NOT happening. If there was no spam I can guarantee I would have every class except druid and pally max level and geared - eventually. I wont play on any server that ALLOWS spam.

I have levelled one toon up to level 12 and am working on a second. During the first toons levelling I had to suffer non stop gold selling and non stop levelling services spam. spam. spam... spam.. spam... spam... spam.. is it annoying yet? spam... spam.. spam.. spam. Why is there no IGNORE feature. yes I know this did not exist in actual vanilla but playing on a server that does not implement this feature is NOT FUN. Also, I already have one toon over level 10, if i roll a new toon that toon should NOT be penalized and not allowed to communicate in game. I logged out. Im staying logged out tiill you implement an ignore i.e. I probably wont be back. I play on other servers so im not missing anything except... THE SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!! you have a good server going here but it has extreme annoyances. You want to gain a user base and NOT lose them to constant "buy me now, buy me now, buy me now, buyt me now"... then implement spam protection. Allow ALL users to block unwanted messages. Till that is implemented I wont be back.

Passwords like that are trivial to crack and almost impossible to remember. On the other hand a pass PHRASE such as "the cow jumped over the moon" is almost impossible to hack and TRIVIAL to remember. Spamming the chat channels telling people to constantly change their passwords over and over is not just annoying its BAD

lol ty i was starting to get worried that they were incapable of running reliable services. I dont go to facebook, i dont go to twitter. I dont go to ANY anti social network at all... exccept wow and wow forums :) Hell Im an engineer and i dont even have a linkedin account and never will have - im a heretic i guess :)

Trying to log into my account via the control panel. My browser fills in all the login info for me which has worked every other time I tried it. when i click login i get Authentication request could not be processed due to a system problem. Try again a few minutes later and now i gget OH! Something went wrong! Too many attempts!.

My web browser is 100% up to date. I also clear the cache and cookies and browsing history on a regular basis. This is the ONLY SITE that gives me grief.

Also now I cannot even log in to my elysium account due to technical difficulties. So... cant view the web site due to technical difficulties cant log in to my elysium account due to technical difficulties cant transfer my nost charactes due to technical difficulties :/

this is not just the forum pages doing this, it is the entire elysium web site. EVERY page.
