  1. I'm under the impression that GMs need to catch the AFK themselves - true? So even the most damning video won't actually result in any disciplinary action until the GM sees an AFK for themselves?

Making money as a 60 Druid with no profs

Do you have a tanking set? Two options: 1) DME jump runs. Either find a geared healer to duo or form a pug trio. Ideally you'd want mining to be able to reserve the thorium veins though. 2) Strat Live. Tanks aren't easy to find so you can claim some number of the orb drops. Those are probably your best GPH options.
  3. Put in a ticket. What do you expect us to do?
  4. It's a gearing issue. I offer to tank all the time as a druid, but I only need healing gear. You either need to compromise and roll against one another (where the healer's used to no competition on rolls) or find a healer that doesn't need the specific item you're looking for. You're right though, it's maddening to join a group that's been spamming LF1M Tank and see a warrior who refuses to slap on a shield.
  5. Warlock utility, particularly banish on Garr. Blood pact for tank group, soulstones, healthstones, summons are all invaluable too. It's a population thing. Horde have plenty of warlocks and therefore aren't as in-demand.
  6. Tanks are almost always the last spot filled for 5-man dungeon groups. You'll always find a raiding spot as a dwarf priest, warlock or rdruid.
  7. Ahh gotcha. I'd say @StrawberryShake hit the nail on the head for AV. Horde get to skip all of that. Sure, alliance could park a team of mages and support at backdoor to stop it, but then we're just back to OP's complaints about turtling with no win in sight. Most of us just want our rep, so Galv + loss in < 20min does the trick.
  8. If the good alliance all gravitate to premades (leaving only the shitters) and the typical horde are forced to pug due to queue times, it shouldn't be surprising that horde pugs beat alliance pugs.
  9. The grind from 1-60 is *much* easier on a druid. I wouldn't base my entire decision on that though. PvE you shouldn't have any problems getting groups, especially as a tank at 60. Knowing how to heal or tank as a druid will give you a huge advantage too. Tanking for raids is going to be much more difficult though. Guilds typically have their tanks figured out so most warriors are fury whereas druids are expected to heal. PvP is probably more enjoyable on a warrior. Sure, you'll get ganked more on your way to 60, but a warrior with any support is very difficult to kill. Druids have their niche, particularly FC in WSG, but they feel kind of gimpy relative to other PvP healers or DPS.
  10. Tell that to the 10 mages/shaman/huntards turtling past Galv.

    What's A Premade?

    Exhibit A: & Exhibit B:
  12. I still play regularly on p99. I'd say the difficulty that comes with classic EQ isn't for everyone, but it has its charm. There's only a handful of classes that can successfully solo from 1-60, otherwise you'll need a group/duo. Shaman, enchanter, necromancer and druid are all fine solo classes with minimal gear requirements. The end game on p99 can be exhausting though, and you should probably get an idea of what's in store for you if that's your goal. To put it in WoW terms, imagine every raid mob is like a World Dragon: no instances, spawns once a week, heavy neckbearding involved in order to get top end pixels. There's two guilds that monopolize 90% of the raid mobs through poopsocking 16 hour variance windows so there's a real ceiling in terms of gearing for casual guilds. That all being said, I still love it. If nothing else, the forum drama that occurs every week due to all the competition between guilds is worth its weight in gold.

https://mobile.twitter.com/elysium_dev/status/827235017269137408 The servers were hit with a heavy DDoS attack yesterday, safe to assume the same scumbags are at it again today.
  14. Ninja looter warning, Cassefoufoun changed to loot master just as the boss was dying and looted a Lavishly Jeweled Ring. Group with this douche at your own risk.
