GM HELP ON PVE SERVER PLEASE

Just to play devils' advocate here. One could argue that its not grieving. Not yet anyway. Mainly below where I have Bolded and Italicized: 1. It wasn't the new player starting zone (yes its close but not in that little valley) 2. it wasnt for an extended period of time. 3. more of a grey area, if the demon was not being controlled and just summoned then they werent exactly "Intentionally" killing quest npc's they were letting the demon wreak havoc D. Griefing Players can interact in a variety of ways, not all of them constructive. You may encounter players that steal resource nodes, chests, items, lead monsters to new areas and summon demons that raise havoc. Elysium staff will not intervene in these situations as the community may take measures concerning these players. However, behaviour that is considered to be contrary to the essence of the Game will be considered a violation of this agreement. Such behaviour is considered griefing which includes, but is not limited to, the following: Summoning demons at the initial starting zones of new players; Intentionally killing or disabling important quest NPCs for an extended period of time; Intentionally causing any of the four demons for Stave of the Ancients to despawn; Intentionally causing The Cleaner to appear during The Balance of Light and Dark; Intentionally interrupting or negatively influencing a raid group that is currently engaged in ANY world boss encounter on the PvE realm with either faction characters - unless opposite faction and pvp flagged; Intentionally interrupting or negatively influencing a raid group that is currently engaged in ANY world boss encounter on the PvP realms with same-faction characters. Just my 2c
  3. I would suggest you make sure you have latest version of Questie. If you do, log out and turn off that addon. If its still lagging you know you most likely have a hardware issue. If the lag is magically gone. its most likely trying to track too many quests, and objectives. And you will just need to disable it temporarily until you get a handle of some of those quests. This happened to me 5 minutes after stepping foot into STV. Consider this for Quest tracking: Green Hills ch 1, Green Hills ch 2, Green Hills ch 3, Green Hills ch 4 (Then the complete chapter 1-4 assembled) Panther mastery, Tiger mastery, Raptor mastery Kurzen kill and collection quests. That was only about 9-11 quests to track but it literally put up so many pins covering the top half of the STV map. Not to mention that it would also show "new" quests in other zones, Low level quests in all zones that i had not done or been to (which i had toggled on) and opposite faction quests. Even after I set the MB usage for addons to 999 it was still stuttering. (at that time i was also using an older version of questie and did NOT at that time update to the latest version. I found out about a week later there was a newer version.)

All gold lost. WATCH YOUR ACCOUNT!

Are you sure you did not pose several items on the AH? I thought something similar the other night, had several gold left over and posted a few weapons on the AH that were between lvl 20-30 not realizing that the deposit was over 1g each...

    How to counter holy paladins

As a warlock 1v1 fear + Dots + Drain Mana. In group pvp I would drain mana. To counter a pally I say Drain Mana.
  6. So I have a quick question for someone who's a little more knowledgeable when it comes to IT than myself. I work at a college and during the slow periods or on lunch they don't really restrict what we do (with in reason) That being said I do know they have some of the more popular games or sites blocked (such as retail versions of WoW, Clash of clans, and a few other well known games) My question is this, since this connects to a private server is there something in this client that still points back to Blizzard that would be caught by what ever they use to block the retail versions, or is this more so a Port blocking issue and even though its pointing to a private server the same ports are still being used and thus blocked? Currently the only way i can play is if i tether my phone's data. (which isnt an issue if its my only option) Thanks,
  7. Cool thanks for the suggestion. I'm not terribly worried about setting up a VPN or anything to fancy.

    Account

What i had to do in order to edit/save the realmlist.wtf file is to make sure my user profile had security permissions to edit the file (it wouldn't let me save the updated/edited list) I had opened it with both notepad and notepad++ (notepad++ would seem like it was saving it, but it was not working properly) I had to go to the parent folder (World of Warcraft 1.12) right click and go to properties > security Tab > click on my user profile and click on "Edit" > Click on my user profile again > click "Full Control" in the Permissions for Users section > click OK > click Apply then edit the realmlist.wtf file. Then I could save and had no issues. (Also running on Windows 10)

Due to the recent Gold issues

I find it hard to believe that based on that alone, they would ban the account. As unlikely as it sounds some one could have put it up there as a legit auction, there are people out there who intentionally put items on the AH that are way over priced in the hopes that someone is stupid enough to click and buy it. Even on accident. Second, people should make sure their passwords are strong and changed often and not do things that could get their accounts hacked. Now with that being said, I typically don't put items up for extreme amounts of gold. I follow the trend and under cut by about 3-5% particularly there was a tailoring pattern that there was only 3 on the AH and all priced around 50g. Should I worry about a gold spammer accidentally buying my item and me getting banned? That doesn't sound reasonable to me. I am sure there are other ways to track this on their end. I could be wrong but I hope not.
  11. Yea as I was typing the question up I thought back to my first Cisco class and assumed they were just blocking certain well known ports of these popular games. Just hoping for some form of confirmation. Thanks for the quick reply.

    Microstutering is a client problem?

I just wanted to post this here as it may help you and others. I recently starting having stuttering issues as well out of the blue. After a few hours I found the problem. I was around level 30 and finally went into STV or Stranglethorn Valley. Picked up all the quests I could from the hunting village and starting zone at the North. Shortly after that started to experience stuttering when it hasn't been an issue previously. It was being caused by an addon. Specifically Questie. I though i could increase the addon memory, but doubling it to 94mb then making it out to 999mb did nothing to resolve the stuttering. (currently i have a GTX 1070, and 32GB of RAM) Playing on max settings I haven't had an issues until playing 5 minutes in STV. I assume it has something to do with all the tracking that questie does for all the "hunt x animal", and gather "x page of Green hills" along with the other kill/collect missions picked up outside of the Hemit hunting camp. I did try messing with the settings you had listed above, as well as doing some bit of standard computer IT maintenance on my own machine, and for me at least the only work around was temporarily disabling questie until half of those missions were done and there was not as much left to track. I assume that with all the "pins" it places on the world map/mini map as well as any thing that's tracking behind the scenes, it's just too much for WoW to handle.
