Thank you so much this helped me figure out my problem. I opened my realmlist in wordpad, pasted in the above and now I am creating my character. Hope everyone else is able to connect too!

So one of my friends posted about Elysium and I wanted to join too since haven't gotten to play vanilla with them in years. I did the torrent, had a lot of issues with links as many said, but I got the torrent, downloaded, did the unzip but all I have is a World of Warcraft 1.12 folder with a Data folder that is empty and then the Background Downloader. If I click on the downloader I get an error message "Data for the next patch is not available". Did I do something wrong? Hoping someone can help me as I'd love to get set to play vanilla this weekend.
