Yep only Elysium off now. Yesterday there were lots of sudden dcs so some problem again there. Still waiting for my daily dose of vanilla, nam!
-
Thanks for the works! ... Now I can lead. I will be ruthless but fair.

If nobody buys the stuff from AH the mafias/cartels are rendered useless - your choice.

So we europeans have vast advantage in pvp and it is very damn unfortunate. Let's hope that American continent get better latencies as soon as possible!

Well I like to play on Elysium and hope it goes well in the future but like also to discuss about these things that are not considered so positive towards Elysium project. My aim is to gather constructive comments from this community but my thread was closed. So there seems to be no way to discuss very openly about things here.

Just let the reservers form their own group and fight over loot.

I know that I may be asking too much here because you being able to answer you have to bury your war axe for a moment and think in a positive constructive way.

Yeah of course no drama or such things has happened recently :)

So .. lots of shit has happened recently. Blind flame war between opposing factions for and against Elysium project (alas, not just war between the Alliance and the Horde as it should be). Unfortunately lots of people doesn't seem to control their feelings and let them to ruin everything usually -> leads to blind flame wars etc. It seems that part of Elysium staff has this feeling control problem also no one's perfect I cannot blame them in the midst of this. It's human to do errors bigger and smaller ones but we have also the ability to redeem ourselves. If there were no problems at all outside of normal ones (bugs, lag spikes and server stability issues) there wouldn't be this kind flame war or drama going on in the first place and we would have been playing normally to this day with just the normal QQs. There have been just too much evidence that something suspicious has been happening and now we just have to deal with it and to think how to change things IF we like this project to continue. Obviously new passionate (for Vanilla), trustworthy and talented devs and other staff are needed now when many has left this project. To deny that nothing suspicious has happened OR only suspicious things has happened leads us to nowhere. We just have to accept what the situation is now and it isn't very good projectwise. I can accept that all or part of the crucial staff can profit out of this project which enables them to continue this project (e.g. server and other hardware costs) and that they get enough money for themselves according to their investment in the project (maintaining this kind of project is real work after all). But they should profit in a ways which don't hurt the gold economy of the game much, the integrity of the gameplay, trustworthiness of the whole project or impact negatively on this community. If they profit enough we as players don't even have to donate. Though the more money you get the higher are chances that you will get corrupted at some point. People will always have this greedy corruption possibility inside them. For these kinds of projects to succeed you need to get the right kind of people to right positions. Keeping in mind the imperfections we all have it's incredibly hard thing to do. Another thing is to communicate with the community. If you don't keep up with communication the project is dead before it is even born. I wish all luck to this project but you have to learn from your mistakes also. Truth and trust are two important things in life at least for me. I've been enjoyng the time in Elysium and would like it to continue if possible. Never thought that WoW can be this fun as I joined during WotLK. I can even accept that all of the servers will get restarted from scratch if they/we can solve these current problems. I don't like to choose sides (except for the Horde ;). I like to go through the middle ground. I try to understand everyones point of view and to build compromises out of the different views to satisfy each faction sufficiently. So what do you think? What kind of changes, improvements etc. constructive things we could do to repair this project?

How long are your levels taking?

Played since 1st minute and now at 25. -
That "AHHA" is cyrillic Anna. But if I pay all the 4 servers for 3 years and then after 1 year they'll get shutdown because of .. something can I get my money back?
-
What causes these problems is simply money. Even if this is free to play there are always people who try get monetary benefits from it like goldsellers and these hackers try to sell characters. Unfortunately this just basic human behaviour which never changes. Even those of us with strong integrity, perseverance and moral are prone to greed in some extent. If someone offers you a million euros/dollars for free most of us would take that sum and this sum would probably also change our high principles/moral for worse and corrupt us trough greed. Here on our precious private servers goldsellers and some hackers are corrupted by this monetary greed. In a society model without money we probably wouldn't have these kinds of problems. If these things are to weaken Elysium project (by Blizzard or some other party) I can see the intelligent means behind it -> handful of people turn masses against each other with ease and just enjoy watching the fight. E.g. if someday you see yourself in the news that you allegedly did some crime that you didn't do in reality people in general tend to believe the news without presented evidence not you and after that you will be "marked" as a criminal under public eye. Multinational companies can and will do anything possible to secure their businesses. Be it be some kind of corruption amongst Elysium and/or Nostalrius staffs is possible. This to be greedy corruption of some parties is likely. Me myself would like to believe to Elysium(/Nostalrius) staffs truthfulness and genuine passion for this game without money thoughts on the backround because otherwise there is just no hope left for us with a passion for this game. But I'm not going to judge any party before there are proven facts on the table to enable fair examination of these things and claims. Though I understand that these happenings raise severe uproars amongst community. I hope for the best and try not to fear the worst because for the 1st time in 9 years I enjoy playing WoW.

Will the Que situation improve over time?
Lapinlehmät replied to DirtyD's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Hmm .. now that I que to Elysium pvp and browsing internet at the same time while waiting it seems to disconnect from the que after some time like after 10-20 mins? Have they done so that you can't leave que on the backround to wait for e.g. 2 hours -> similar thing like anti-afk in game? -
Now: started que at 6.7k 14.50 server time and now about 16.20 server time I'm at 2.5k -> roughly 2800 positions per hour when couple days ago it was roughly 1200 per hour. So .. now that ddos has calmed down a bit and anti-afk measures have been made I agree with what many has said here that let's just wait and see how population develops during the next months. I guess that there will be no need for 4th one.

High XP Rate Vanilla Server
Lapinlehmät replied to wb123's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
No no. Only thing theoretically could be to reduce xp gains 5-10% and at the same time increase requirements for levels by 5-10% but even this is not right.
