Just curious here: What level characters did you have and how much gold in total? What was your main source of income (for example farming X with method Y or just questing ) ? Did you make any extremely good deals on the AH (selling or buying)?

People like that will probably never learn, even if they get hacked. It's like getting a fancy lock for your front door and then have a spare key hanging on a nail by the door.

Not sure if you are trolling but still: So you just need rolled without asking if it was ok first? If someone objects, greed roll and then ask to buy the loot from whoever wins for 10s, how hard can it be? A bit of social skills gets you pretty far you know, it can save your ass from public embarrasment like this.

Put a ticket in game. I usually select physical harrasment as category, however I've heard it does not really matter what you select.

There are a couple of similar posts so most likely the devs must have performed a roll back on specific tables, including the one that hold player details such as name.

Normally I play Eve when I'm "between games" so to say.. Eve usually keeps me hooked for about 2 weeks each time I return (every 3 months or so). I like to play solo, but it would be a drag if I didn't have good connections with a couple of corps that I trade with (I focus on mining). Right now I just log on to put new skills on queue though, as it turns out I have become pretty much addicted to vanilla WoW. Eve is not for everyone, you have to be a bit "special" to enjoy it I'd say.

So, let's say that we have three unique players in each thread claiming they have been hacked, and one extra to get up to 40 over the past X days. One reason for some of these posts being on page 1 is most likely due to the actions of a strange creature, the troll sheep. Some of the players that got hacked also posted account information (thereby giving away their email address) in the forums when posting their ban appeal in the wrong place (that action in itself gives you an idea on how careless people are). When I see things like that I usually copy the address and run a check on https://www.hacked-db.com/checkAccount.php and in several cases there has been a match (the ones I've seen has been leaked in 2015 and early 2016). You can speculate that since these users were careless enough to publicly post the email address associated to their account, they might not even be aware of that their email address and probably credentials were leaked from elsewhere a long time ago, and that they haven't changed their password in ages.
