[Addon] pfUI - An ElvUI inspired Addon entirely written from scratch
Slack replied to shagu's topic in UI, AddOns & Macros
Hi Shagu, I've updated to version 2.0 but my chat frame still only takes up half the panel. It scrolls and everything but just half the size of the panel. I haven't messed with any heights. Do you have any suggestions? -

Any idea why my left chat frame only shows messages for half the pane? I think this started happening when I upgraded to v1.6. -

Anyway to move buffs away from minimap? If not, does anyone know a good buff addon? I've used Buffalo but it doesn't match the looks of my ui. -
Nevermind, I figured it out.

I just upgraded from v 2.0.10. The arrow and some quests in the immediate area show up but not all quests in a zone. Also when I move the quests that show up, next time I log back in, it reverts to the original position. I have tried \questie clearconfig and \questie cleartracker to no avail. I'd like to just see all my quests like before. I moved the Questie folder and !Questie Compatibility folders out of Interface\Addons. I've also moved the Questie.lua from the WTF folder. Any ideas? Is there something I need to do in WDB? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Similar to fire spells on Centaur in the Barrens. While they are not immune to fire, fire spells do significantly less damage than frost spells.

Molten Core Clear - Quintessences/Integrity
Slack replied to Lopherus's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Without talking about the specifics of this raid, I think people's main concern is how Blizzlike is this server? These concerns tie in with people questioning whether Elysium is using the Nost core. So while I believe them when they say they are using the Nost core, I don't believe it's configured like Nost was. Everyone loved Nost for a lot of reasons but a big one was how "Blizzlike" they were. So with that said, the fact that 20-40 people were able to go from 0-60, or close to 60, farm the rep and gear, and then clear MC in 11 days....is not "Blizzlike". I don't care if the 1.12.1 talents outscale the content or if everyone knows the best path for leveling or you don't need the best gear or you're a "nolifer", you still shouldn't be able to reach 60 in 11 days, let alone full clear MC. My question is how long should it take to get to 60 Blizzlike? I thought I remembered it would take you a month to hit cap if you knew what you were doing and were a nolifer. In my opinion, the devs should reevaluate the current server config against the Nost config to make it more Blizzlike and review what these guys did and tune accordingly. -
Our official response to Nostalrius — Elysium will prevail!

There are some over generalizations in this statement. First, you're generalizing people being critical with spitting (disrespectful). Yes, some people have over reacted but the majority simply disagree with the latest announcement from Nost. It's okay to disagree and be critical. Second, you're saying that people are spiting upon the plate they've been eating upon. Not true since the situation has changed a few times and thus it's not the same plate. Nost running a private server is different from the Nost after the C&D letter which is different from the Nost that passed the torch to Elysium which is different from the Nost per the latest announcement. I believe Nost has been a huge positive for the legacy community up until the last three weeks. Taking the token generator offline after two weeks, with no communication for three weeks, and then posting they want the torch back from Elysium is a massive negative and does nothing but hurt the legacy community. Their actions could have hurt the legacy community more than anything Blizzard, or their DDOS'ing fanboys, could have done. Hell they indirectly called us pirates. Sadly, they've hurt their own team who helped carry the torch over to Elysium and then stayed to help. I support those that have stayed even after this announcement. -
Both the Yandesk and Mega links say the client isn't available. I'm assuming Blizzard is going after them. I'm pretty sure I still have my client on my other PC from my Nost days.

Well, at least we know where we stand. Time to roll a new mage and have fun leveling. To Nostalrius, I say goodbye. You no longer speak for me and, after your latest announcement, no longer speak for the legacy wow community. I don't say this because I couldn't transfer my characters, as I really don't mind, but because you sound like the very thing you were fighting. I could almost hear a "You think you do but you don't" as I read your last announcement. I will remember the great service you once provided, your passion, and the community that rose from that work. But that is all you are now: a memory. See you all in the server! -
Need help transfering a character from old Nostalrius

The Nost token generator has been down for about 3 weeks with zero communication from Nost side. There is a stickied thread on this forum here: -

Could be up to two weeks in the US depending on if they are students or employed. I'm not sure about EU but depending on the type of job vacation could be north of three weeks. That still wouldn't explain the silence though. Viper, Daemon, and Pottu have been seen on the Nost forums multiple times since tokens went down. It takes two minutes to make a post. This could definitely be higher on my list. Given that the token is emailed to you and the database is encrypted, this doesn't seem likely but certainly plausible. That doesn't explain the uncharacteristic lack of communication though. Yea, it seems the most likely thing that can explain both token and communication issues. But even this is undermined by Pottu's vague indirect post about transfers resuming. -

By this point, I have to agree that it's not just broken. There are so many oddities about this situation though. First, I don't think Nost owners intended for the token generator to only be open for a week or they would have explicitly given us a timetable. So did it break or something else? If it broke, Nost owners would have fixed it as others here have said, so I don't think this is the case. If something happened, then what? And why the complete silence from the Nost owners given how well they had communicated with the community up to this point? Here are some theories: Blizzard decided to pursue legal action against Nost owners for releasing the database and code to Elysium. This would explain the issue with the token generator and the complete silence, if they were legally gagged. I could see a gag order given the blow back Blizzard endured after the first C&D letter. Something went sour between the Nost team and the Elysium team during or after the transition. This would explain why Elysium hasn't said much and why they haven't given us more details. Not sure why Nost owners would stay silent though. Token generator is paused due to population concerns on server. First, if Elysium was concerned about over population due to transfers they could pause it on their side. Second, from what I hear there isn't a queue on Nost PVP anymore. Third, most people will just reroll which doesn't alleviate the population issue anyway. Besides, neither side would be silent if this was the issue. Token generator is actually broken. There could be a serious bug that is hard and time consuming to fix but why no communication? This seems the least likely. The other oddity is Pottu, the one team member who was the most active on the Nost forums after the server shutdown and who is now on the Elysium team. On the account transfer announcement thread on Nost, http://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=44969&start=170, Pottu was actively replying to the community until the day the token generator stopped working. His last post was Dec 21 on page 18. It looks like the first post about token issues occurred late on Dec 20. Strange he posted at least once on each of the first 18 pages and then the token generator stops working and he goes silent for the next 6 pages. On the Elysium thread asking for reserved names to be released on Nost PVP server, Pottu responded with a vague post that the names wouldn't be released and transfers would continue. How does he know they'll continue? Why be vague? The last oddity is the Elysium response. It seems the summary of their response is "not our problem" and "we've contacted the Nost team and they are aware of the issue". Why no more details? Who did they contact? Was there a response? What was it? Have they tried contacting them again? This simple and vague response seems uncharacteristic given the two teams had to work closely to implement the Nost core and transfer projects and given the amount of Nost staff now on the Elysium staff. I wasn't on Nost at the very start but a couple of months after. I've followed and backed them through the shutdown, the petition, the Blizzard presentation, and the rest. They've conducted themselves as professionals for the most part given it's a volunteer project. I'm grateful for all the work they put in and their passion on this project. That said, I'm disappointed my Nost journey is going to end like this: no transfer and no communication.
