Multiple issues after last server restart for Zeth transfersSarrowind posted a topic in Help & Support Hi everyone, I was playing on Elysium yesterday, a new hunter, while I waited for my Zeth'kur characters to be transferred. I logged off properly about 5 minutes before the server restart was supposed to happen. When I logged back in to my hunter (after renaming him) my macros were gone and some of my button configurations. This was the easy fix... However, my pet no longer knows Claw and it is not on his ability bar, nor can I learn Growl. My Spellbook DOES NOT have a Pet tab either. Help?

Nothing is perfect. I'd rather eat a temp ban instead of a naked 60(s) with no gold.

If you can afford a computer, model at least circa 2004, you can install and run WoW. If you can afford internet, you can play said WoW. If you have both, you can run and play WoW. Where is there a valid excuse in that equation to not use 2FA that is accessible from a computer with internet? These message boards are rife with complaints about accounts being "hacked", which is poor terminology to use. Hacking is a little more sophisticated than using the same password for everything and someone discovering it and then abusing it. If you get compromised and don't have 2FA, then it is your fault and find somewhere to cry, such as your local bar, strip club, etc. The devs have more important things to work on and have provided a means to further secure YOUR account. If you're not using it, I anticipate your post in the help and support section. Where you will receive neither help nor support and will be trolled for stupidity.

Correct, if you have a computer to play wow, you can install the authenticator on it. AND if you have a gmail account, you have access to the authenticator from any computer, thus making the reliance on smartphones or any other mobile device a moot point. So I'm still waiting a reason NOT to make them mandatory as it only requires an IQ above room temperature to use.

This shit continues to suck, it's been about 2 weeks?

Actually there is something that can go a step further, although it is usually a last resort when you're out of options. i've had to do it with an ISP in the past for our corporate network. If you file a complaint with the FCC (in the USA at least), it tends to get things resolved while ruffling their feathers. They have SLA's to meet, end of story.

I work as a network/VoIP engineer and have thorough experience dealing with ISP's. They're usually pretty awful unless you get to tier 3 support levels. The crux of this is on OVH and AT&T to work with other providers that their traffic routes through for resolution, which they HATE doing. It is worse than pulling teeth and becomes a he said she said issue...

Might be useful to mention your server...

At least our routing issue is temporary and will be fixed, unlike notorious French rudeness

Bw32 and Naeras, use that VPN. My latency is LESS than when Uverse wasn't having issues even!

Since this issue is as bad as ever, I decided to mess around with some VPN's. Right now I'm using OpenVPN with privatetunnel. It says it has a 200MB limit, but my quota has stayed full for some reason (shrug). Some data I've found to the visible OVH public IP that replies: Stockholm = Ping statistics for 176.31.249.134: Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 49, Lost = 1 (2% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 181ms, Maximum = 2751ms, Average = 236ms London = Ping statistics for 176.31.249.134: Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 49, Lost = 1 (2% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 123ms, Maximum = 146ms, Average = 125ms Netherlands = Ping statistics for 176.31.249.134: Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 50, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 129ms, Maximum = 136ms, Average = 130ms Switzerland = Ping statistics for 176.31.249.134: Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 50, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 158ms, Maximum = 2823ms, Average = 213ms

Currently on my phone or I would elaborate further now, but will later. Actually, isn't this almost too obvious?

	It's the suck, ping and tracert results: Ping statistics for 176.31.249.134: Packets: Sent = 10000, Received = 8918, Lost = 1082 (10% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 118ms, Maximum = 265ms, Average = 125ms C:\Users\Brian>tracert 176.31.249.134 Tracing route to ns387469.ip-176-31-249.eu [176.31.249.134] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms dsldevice.attlocal.net [192.168.1.254] 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 28 ms 20 ms 20 ms 99.168.X.X (My IP edited out) 4 28 ms 19 ms 20 ms 99.168.141.113 5 20 ms 20 ms 19 ms 12.83.113.13 6 27 ms 27 ms 27 ms 12.122.117.97 7 37 ms 38 ms 40 ms 192.205.33.42 8 39 ms 39 ms 39 ms ash-bb3-link.telia.net [62.115.125.109] 9 77 ms 111 ms 84 ms nyk-bb1-link.telia.net [62.115.137.61] 10 59 ms 60 ms * nyk-b2-link.telia.net [62.115.112.107] 11 61 ms 60 ms 62 ms be100-154.nwk-5-a9.nj.us [192.99.146.38] 12 * 117 ms 166 ms be100-1298.ldn-5-a9.uk.eu [192.99.146.132] 13 * 163 ms 116 ms be100-2.ldn-1-a9.uk.eu [213.251.130.121] 14 121 ms 122 ms 123 ms be11-1187.rbx-g1-a9.fr.eu [91.121.128.86] 15 224 ms 176 ms * vl21.rbx-g1-a75.fr.eu [213.251.128.77] 16 * * * Request timed out. 17 * * * Request timed out. 18 119 ms 118 ms 118 ms ns387469.ip-176-31-249.eu [176.31.249.134] Trace complete. -
Yeah, it's essentially garbage to EU right now. Getting consistent 10% packet loss with some spikes here and there. Trace looks like garbage too (sorry insert image not working right for me)
-
To save me the work Trajor, what are the IP's?
