OMG I LOVE YOU! Nuff said.

Err, stupid question from an amateur. Do I need items/creatures/quests etc database to run server if I want to try fixing some minor stuff and test it before making a pull request? I've already imported database structure from SQL files in GIT. I suppose Elysium world database is private, should I use old public mangos databases? PS: I've already compiled the server

I don't think C4rium charges were able to open lockboxes in vanilla, at least here is what mentioned in 2.1 patchnotes (which is Burning Crusade): source: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Patch_2.1.0 source: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Seaforium_charge

Sorry for replying into an old topic. Autoloot can't be done, but there is an addon which auto positions loot window under cursor: http://www.vanilla-addons.com/dls/fruityloots/

UPDATE: haven't tried to log in for like 15-20 minutes (played other character). logged back, character fallen from like 5 feet height (usually it spawns on ground), no disconnects anymore. So, probably you need to wait couple minutes before logging in back (unless it was some friendly GM who did something to fix my char)

So, everything was fine, then I team up with some folks, we did protecting the herd quest: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?quest=314 Then I jumped off the hills, walked few seconds and DCed. Now I can't get in with that character, I get disconnected in 2-3 seconds after entering world. Character name is Targim, realm Darrowshire It seems that I can play other characters without disconnects, but Targim is disconnected every time I log in.

Thank you for your hard work.

Most likely you are trying to tame a wrong mob. There are multiple reports that quest mobs for hunters are named WRONG in localized World of Warcraft, so either use English version of game or check http://db.vanillagaming.org/ for mob's location. Also, try cleaning WDB cache as suggested here: https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/22004-some-common-issues-and-how-to-solve-them/

The only problem I have with 2FA is that very often first attempt to log in fails (bad pin/pwd) and I need to wait till code refreshes because logging in with current code again fails as well. I am almost certain I enter correct pwd/pin, but it hard to be 100% sure in this case.

But you were still #1 in the aggro list. This way you were able to tame trapped pets (especially for elites). Attention in this case means "aggro". I remember it quite good that I was kinda angry on healers sometimes when they wanted to help me with heals and overaggroed = tame process fails. So I tried to use distracting shot first... Check this thread, for instance: http://wow.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=21&mid=110287509654176168&h=50&p=1#12 Couldn't find any video proof though...

Damage depends on current happiness level. Loyalty affects training points and happiness decay speed.

Make sure you have "Feed Pet" ability. After obtaining Tame Beast spell, there is another quest that leads you to Darnassus where you learn how to feed pets, you need to complete this quest. Open your character window and switch to pet's tab, there will be icon with pet happiness. Hover your mouse over it and check the pet's diet. Some pets eat meat, others require different kind of food. Drag food from your inventory to your pet or drop it on his portrait (no right-clicking - it makes YOU eat food instead, if it's edible). Alternative option is to click Feed Pet spell (cursor will highlight) and then click food in your inventory. PS: I don't think feeding pet is different in BC, as long as you have the ability to do so.

The problem is: the other character should be unable to tame mob in the same time because the spell requires mob's attention during the process (i.e. aggro). http://db.vanillagaming.org/?spell=1515 For instance, sometimes random healers wanted to help you by healing, which caused hunter to loose mob's aggro and the taming process fails.

At least he doesn't claim he's innocent.

Receiving threats following contentious Gnomeran
Fogged replied to Magank's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
No kidding, this is exactly what happened when I worked for local ISP provider. A guy was begging us to change his LAN (!) IP because someone knew it and was threatening him.
