So then the admins should be providing you with true statements. The Nost database was leaked. That was the original Dec 28th hacking spree that went wild. It was clever wording by the admins to say "Our servers have never been hacked) because technically yours wasnt, but the files you imported for accounts was for sure put out on the net. Scummy way to relay to the public that the accounts were insecure instead of saying "Nost DB was leaked, if you had an account there please update password" If people had known that, they would have changed it instead of thinking another server like Kronos or one of the big ones was hacked. If the server continued to be secure and were never in danger, then you wouldn't recommend updating your password daily like people are posting here. I've never had any kind of service/game recommend changing passwords so often. It is clearly shifting blame from your side to the other because it can't be contained

Stop telling people you have suspicions another server was hacked. It is untrue. Your database was hacked, is being hacked and will continue to be hacked. If you want to put the bullshit "account security is the account owners job" then thats fine. Tell us your servers are unsecured and the best way to protect them is to change passwords every day. I had a unique password, 2 factor auth and my account was still closed. I should "rest assured though that this is my own fault because I used the same login on another platform" The only other game I play is Battlefield on xbox. Did xbox live datbase get leaked and my sign in was tested on your server?

This isn't how security works... In what world do you live in that your form of security is changing your password daily to due the server you connect to gets hacked? "hahaha noob didnt u see msg? i update my password every 4 hours, only real way to be secure!" The server was hacked and that was the original leak that staff warned about on Dec 28th. None of this "other server with same credentials" bullshit they have been telling people.

Greetings! You actually are responsible for securing our accounts. I for one am sick and tired of the staff saying the leaks are coming from other servers being hacked. It is just 100% false. People are changing passwords daily and the new updated passwords are still stolen. It is just lazy on your part to say its the users fault. You don't have security measures put in place and it is showing. I enabled 2 factor authentication on my previous account and it was still closed because 2 factor auth wasn't enough to protect my account and it was being used to spam gold messages. I had a secure 12 character password, an account name I've never used before, never played another private WoW server and 2 factor auth.

I also cannot post in the ban appeals section either. Is there a way to get access to that forum section? It says no posts for me. "Of these 2700 bans, there have been countless ban appeals and only 2 bans turned out to be a false positive. Reading the home page about the hackings, the fact that it was said that a different server was hacked and the account database was stolen from them is also completely false in my mind. I do not and have not ever played a server besides Nost like I mentioned in my original post. Let's turn this "only 2 false positives" into 3 and restore my account. The IPs that logged in that were banned that won't match mine.

Well the ban appeals section is closed to me. Hopefully there is some kind of explanation is given. What is the point of the 2 factor auth if you just get your account closed after enabling it.

Hello, Not sure where to start. My account was just closed in the past 24 hours after verifying my 2 factor authentication process. I have been away from the server since Dec 23 and missed the announcement about changing my password due to hacking. I have NEVER played another private server except for the original Nost, which leads me to believe that is the database that was hacked. My character (lvl 50 warlock) had all of his gold sent away and they disenchanted all my gear when I came back from my 3 week hiatus. I didn't make a form post or cry or try to get my things restored, I made myself some level 30 gear and tried to restart. I changed my password and enabled two factor auth with my phone and added my code to the Google Authentication and it worked fine. Now I try to login and my account has been closed? Can I get some sort of explaniation from a member of the staff? I have already been hacked because the account file for this server was leaked, I would much rather restart with no gear on my level 50 instead of restart at level 1
