I dont know when they did the normalization, but i do know there is none yet (and wont come in vanilla). I tamed and leveled several pets to lv60 and wrote down their baseDPS, however i will not make that available yet because I can, at this moment, only talk for my previous server and do not know if it's the same here. But it is safe that different pets have different DPS and attackspeeds. And here is, when everything works correctly on Elysium, Broken Tooth king. BT gets picked for its baseDPS in PvE and for its attackspeed in PvP - that simply is the case. If you believe that or not is up to you.

I dont know what other guys talk here but in vanilla there is no "normalization" of pet damage. Different pets have different baseDPS according to the pet sheet. And BT has the best baseDPS you will find in vanilla wow. Edit just to make my point: Bangalash: 83,7DPS at lv60 Broken Tooth: 107,2DPS at lv60

Weaponskill does not affect casts. This is most likely just a bug from Theorycraft addon and I suggest you just ignore that. There are literally only 4 ways for you to get an increased critchance: 1) Int 2) Talents 3) +Spellcrit Chance (Items, Buffs,...) 4) Debuffs on your target (Winter's Chill)
