Do you have an ETA for when the servers will be back up?

Back in Vanilla, as well as when I've played with all NA people on Nostalrius you would need if you still didn't have 4, if they were for a bank they were Greed. There is a point to having both a need and a greed roll. If it is something that will directly benefit the toon then you roll need on it. If it is something that has an ulterior purpose (Sell for gold, DE for Mats, AH) then you greed. This Russian run server is the first I have ever experienced where people are so greedy as to roll need on all Traveler's Backpack. I honestly think, judging from the language used in this thread that it breaks down to a cultural difference.

I can confirm that on NA servers it was as you think it should be. I guess on the Asia or EU servers they had greedier players, just like now on these private servers you have to roll need on all the Traveller's Backpacks, which was never a thing on any Vanilla server I played on.

Here is some simple logic for you. The item for the Tank has a value of X, the purchase price on the AH. For anyone in the group the item has a value of X-15%, where this is the amount of gold they would get after selling it on the AH and the AH taking its cut. By your logic, the item has a greater value for the Tank than for anyone else and should go to him. Lets take another example that someone mentioned, BoE greens. What if a BoE green was an upgrade for my recent 60 who was still wearing ilvl 45 gear. By your rules everyone in the group should be rolling Need on the item when, by your logic only I should be rolling need, as I will get more out of the item then someone vendoring it, or if it had marginal stats maybe getting double the vendor from the AH. This situation reminds me of the quote miss attributed to Churchill: In this case we can replace the implied question of "Are you Whore?" with "Are you a greedy player, only after personal gain and fuck your reputation on the server?"

Hypothetically, if you were running SM and Scarlet Boots dropped would you roll need on them over the warrior? They are BoE blue boots that you could sell on the AH for a couple gold. Similarly for Dungeon Sets, would you roll need on Shadowcraft Bracers just so you could sell them over a Rogue/Durid who would equip them? Most people I have grouped with, and IMO the general attitude would be that if the player needs it and would wear you would pass/greed roll. The only reason you rolled Need on the Epic was because you saw that it had much higher gold value and you got greedy. As I said in my earlier post, there is nothing against the ToS in what you did, but as is evident from this thread there are many people who think it is an attitude that they do not want to group with.

This whole thread just makes Beerwizzard and Oakenlix look exceedingly slimy and greedy. A saved opportunity cost is not the same a monetary gain. While this is not against the ToS it is still an attitude that I would never group with, and will actively promote the knowledge of, both of you will have a bad reputation in my books and I will do my best to spread it.

I have been camped multiple times by Alliance sitting in the zepplin tower and shooting out at me standing right next to the guards. Blizzard functionality would have the guards aggro if I was attacked while standing next to them or was in PvP combat and ran close to the guards.
