Dear hordes (Elysium server)
behemothdog replied to Kahlan Amnell's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I dont kill players, I play on a PVE server :D Oh and BOTH factions gank and camp. -
I am sorry OP this sucks for you. Make this a post in general, go in detail about the shiny stuff you had and the time spent, remind people this is WHY 2FA is a must. The attitude is 'Nah I wont get hacked my password is strong enough' I assure you it is not. But with 2FA it is. Not just OP either. EVERYONE who gets hacked should do the same.

Dear hordes (Elysium server)

Ok, so I hated being ganked, and 3v1'd so I got a solution. Darrowshire. I now quest in peace. You really don't. PvP servers are the PERFECT environment to torment members of the other faction. Saying its annoying is as useless as rolling an alt and asking them to stop. This statement is as more immature than the people camping you. Rolling a PvP server is accepting that rogueMcStabby has permission to camp you as long as he can, and even call in friends to camp you in shifts. Honestly, there should be a checkbox "are you ok with being killed over, and over, and over, and over....by other players of higher lvl than you?" [ACCEPT] [ROLL PVE] -
(Double checking what I said:/)

I have booted guildies for not having chants by raid time. I wont Demand all BIS, cuz I get that it can be a pain to get that, but enchants are an easier fix. That does not mean show up in objectively bad gear. IMO It shows a lack effort in just getting ready. If you can't even be ready and on time, I don't want you anywhere near my raid.

Well this post does not go here, but before anything. I dont get the joke :(

Overpopulation ruins the experience...

About a day ago it the servers looked like this. "Its not 1 server. At the time of this reply 6,074 on Anathema, 3,723 on Darrowshire, 9,483 on Elysium, and 3,096 on Zeth'Kur. That's 22,376 people that don't buy into or don't care about this drama. Including me" I only have that because I was replying to some smartass 'servers ded lulz" comment. I wish I would have screen shotted the servers tho -
As long as you don't NEED everything you can, that won't happen. I don't think I have ever seen anyone publicly shamed for asking if they can have an item. When you don't ask it's another story. Now asking for a BOE to go to you as an upgrade, you had better equip it as soon as you have it or people start to assume you are just a greedy liar. Seen people just abandoned for not putting it on right then and there.

That's exactly what calling a reserve accomplishes tho. The people ok with passing on the loot for you are the ones who join reserve runs in the 1st place. Advertising that concept beforehand is all "LFM dungeon [super shiny dagger of stabby stab] reserved" does vs waiting until every one shows and asking 'can you pass on it for me'. It's just another way to set loot rules beforehand. Like I said, its upfront and honest.
-
Darrowshire player here. Can confirm. It's not antisocial, it's an honest loot policy. Before the run even starts you know it is a reserved item and other players do hop in to do the run. They might not want the item, or in some cases they just don't have an issue helping someone get that shiny they want.
-
And there better be enchants on that gear!
-
Well yeah, but its easier to replace heals or DPS if you know he is good, I say run with em. They might just return the favor you help them get a shiny they want.
-
Can I asked where you served and what MOS you held? Hell where did you do boot?
-
Yes thats a thing, and yes still do not believe you.
-
That part sorta made sad. Good luck OP!
-
Yes, welcome to MMORPG's where we find ways around almost anything, even not winning a drop. 1 of those things is a reserve run. Also, cartels for leather. Can't WAIT until GDKP comes here. That is not sarcasm. I love them.
-
If you reserve something I don't need, I see no reason to sit out on a run.
-
I didnt know that...now my reply seems bad. TY for the info

Use the in game submit a ticket The red "?" on your hotbar issues that GM's can assist with> stuck> still not working. Page a GM Then you get a text window. Make your report there and if you have images use a host like Imgur

Just curious how the coding works

Look at the client, it still has Blizzard's TOS and when you get banned it tells you to go to the Blizzard site, the reporting function mentions them too. As for the server portion...Likely a case of both options. -

Healing, You have to manage your threat to a degree no matter what role, and not every one plays by that rule. In retail I was a trigger happy DPS and an over enthusiastic healer. That got me murdered here. Especially lower lvls. Up to 40 ish I had a problem with threat. I have to keep fade up for at least 1/2 the tanks I meet. Healing isn't hard, but you should learn mana management. Downranking spells and not over healing. Bring mana pots if you have them. Also, that "let the dumb ass die" doesn't always work here. If someone fucks up, heal em and yell later. The longer a fight goes on, the more mana you will eat and the window for mistakes just gets bigger.

Any class, the difference is night and day from Wrath to vanilla, HOWEVER specific classes are expected to fill certain roles endgame. You want to tank raids? Better be a warrior. Want to be a DPS priest? Sure, but thats basicly 1 raid slot that needs filled. The list goes on. As a druid your lvling won't be bad. You can tank heal or DPS the 5 mans, and nobody will really give a shit. I have healed bear tanks and it was a cakewalk. That does end tho. To really answer your question every class has strengths and weaknesses here. Do some homework and learn that. when I say weaknesses here I mean it. I would be wrong if I said there wasn't ways around that, but not every group will cater to that. I can't stress this enough. Learn your class INSIDE AND OUT. Most would rather take a good player vs a geared player. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a priest drinking for mana after every pull while lvling. Shit makes me want to cry. Your name means something here. You can't name change (you could re roll). Make friends, and keep them. the amount of time it takes to lvl is a great way to do that. If you see someone struggling toss them a heal or a buff hell if you see a player W/O a buff you can give then fix that. Group with them, hell group with anybody you can. Players remember that. There is 0 reason to think you won't be blacklisted for being an ass. Some of my BEST tanks/healers/dps have been around simply cuz I was nice to them, and they returned the favor. Vanilla is A SOCIAL game. Play it like one.

I get it. I really do, but I still disagree. Gold sellers bring no good. They can trash server economies, the more gold in the market the more worthless it becomes. New players wanting to spend some coin on the AH for a shiny new BOE can expect to pay less than 10 gold for weapons with a lvl range of up to the lower 20's That's more than a reasonable price as you can get that amount by that lvl just by questing and maybe asking the nice mages to get you some food (BTW offer them something in return, even if its just an assist on a quest or some silver) You flood the economy with gold and that price for that sweet 2 handed blue goes up. That warrior worked his ass off for that 7 gold and likely wants to do more DPS so he spends less time fighting quest mobs and more time getting XP. That price is now higher and what could have made someone's time slightly easier is now an annoyance. Replace warrior with any class and the same applies. Do you like the spam? Does ANYONE like the spam? No they fucking dont. There are ways around it, but it still happens. If your 1st /tell or mail on a server is 'Buz my goldzz at vv vv vv. I am human trash at shitlord DOTcom' what does that signal to you? Like hacked accounts? Sure we have 2FA, but why do you think that's needed? (yes there was a breach) Big fucking part of the reason is gold sellers. I report them when I get the tells, I also /who them. Pretty shitty having to see someone in a large guild (no I won't name) sending that shit, do you really think that high lvl person would try and make $10 of my dumb lvl 11 ass? No! he bought gold and lost his account to the sellers. How about sending ANY sort of payment information to a website that has no issue stealing videogame accounts, you think that's a good idea? AS for the ELY staff, they have answered the questions regarding the recent drama started by someone who needs to stop trying to damage projects for views. If the lead GM and lead CM posted RIGHT now that they used to do shady things I would still support them. Why? Because what I give a shit about is what they are doing NOW, and that is providing me a way to play a game I enjoy. Free, taking time out of their days to get this shit done.
