Hi Daveybutter, I am also leveling a warrior with the same general end-game in mind and have asked others basically the same question. Most of their answers fall in line with Storfan's. I finally decided to go with a different philosophy. One that, while it most certainly will be slapped down by any number crunching min-max'er, at least makes a lot of sense to me and my play style. My warrior isn't even level 20 yet, so I'm just getting started, but I decided I would spec conservatively while avoiding "shield" specific things for now, figuring I would swap out my shield for duel wielding as needed. At the moment I went with the typical Deflection 5, Tactical Mastery 2, which is handy both for tanking and for general combat. Next I'll probably put points into either Cruelty or Anticipating (still debating that one), again, as either would benefit a variety of roles. I would recommend finding something that makes sense to you. No, it won't be the "best" build, but as long as it makes sense to you.....

On the Horde side, Durotar is pretty good for copper mining, and I keep hearing that the Deep Elem Mine in Silverpine Forest is also decent. Beyond that I haven't ventured out much.

Hrmmm... found someone who was willing to sit at the neutral auction house in Gadgetzan and grab what I put up, but nothing I was posting was showing for them, even after waiting a minute (but not longer). Figured there might be a delay, or the system isn't liking the copper prices I was setting things at.

Is there a delay from when you post an item on the neutral auction house, and when everyone else can see it?

Evening all, Am in need of someone to assist me in an Alliance-to-Horde item transfer, via neutral auction house. Have several items to move over (recipes, low level gems, etc), and can add a vanity pet or similar as compensation for your time. Please send me a private message if interested. And... to answer my own question, apparently a Blacksmithing skill of 70 is needed to get the quest, not 60 as mentioned on WoWHead, AoWoW, etc. Blarg.

So that other Germans can read / use the information? Not all of them read / speak English.

Was able to do "Supplying the Front" (Alliance-only, Minimum Level 7, Minimum Blacksmithing 30) and get the Copper Chain Vest plans (I thought it was for the Heavy Copper Longsword plans?). Am now trying to do "Gearing Redridge" (Alliance-only, Minimum Level 10, Minimum Blacksmithing 60) but it isn't being offered by Tormus Deepforge. Might anyone know what I might be missing?

Question: I can understand wanting to clamp down on anything that might modify gameplay itself, hence why installing your own patch.MPQ's wouldn't be good (they can contain a lot more then just texture data). Is there any issue with installing a texture pack, however? As in dropping textures into a person's "World of Warcraft/Interface/Icons" or "World of Warcraft/Interface/ChatFrame" folders for whatever reason (wanting to use a different texture, maybe something of higher contrast to help those with vision issues, etc). Doing it via this method ensures that it is texture data only, and in my mind at least, isn't any different that using an addon to the same effect. Edit: Please correct me if I am wrong. By using this method a person could, if they really wanted to, use a higher resolution texture, but the frame that the texture was being hung on wouldn't be altered. Since the newest retail textures are often designed for a different (higher polygon) frame, just updating the textures may not always work or look very weird. A person would be recommended to stick with icon or UI changes.

Kind of hijacking the thread, but might someone know how to manually edit the Gatherer's database. I found the file, opened it, added an entry, and saved it, but when I launch the game the map entry never appears. Background: Just completed Felix's quest to get a few things he left behind, and while doing this question I noticed that Gatherer only recorded 2 of the 3 collections, and the O.C.D. part of my mind just doesn't like that so I'm trying to add it in. Might someone know what I'm doing wrong? I really wish Gatherer had a option to manually create entries while in-game....
