Hello Elysium and other adventurers!
First off, I must compliment the staff at Elysium, for the smooth server and constant updates you give us when the server is down. Second, I would like to ask a question wondering if I may have violated a Terms and Conditions?
So i'm a huge vanilla wow advocate, was part of the nost community, and played vanilla when I was very young. I dragged my childhood friends into the game with me then, and i'm doing the same thing again as an adult. I even helped set up my one friend who has never even played any type of WoW in his life onto this server.
Now here's my issue, wondering if I violated a rule. I had created my friends accounts with them while they were over my house or talking to me on the phone. Obviously I won't leak their account name on the forum, but I did create their accounts at my house on my IP. Is there a limit to how many accounts one can create on the same IP address? I created my one friends account because he is absolutely awful when it comes to anything computers, and It was around the time when the website kept going up and down so i made it for him at my house when he was over. We have then been leveling together while he plays at his house on his own I.P. address.
Secondly, I just encouraged one of my childhood friends to join this server. (we've been best friends since we were like 9 years old) he's currently living in a different state but we were talking over the phone as i guided him through his installation and setting the realm list. He had not made an account yet, and for some reason he couldn't access elysium's website he kept getting a 501 error. I fortunately could, so i made his account with his approval for him, he's also currently on the game under his own IP address now.
Basically, could i be banned for making 3+ accounts under my IP address? I really do not want to be banned for something so honest in simply helping my friends get on the server and enjoy vanilla Warcaft. If I did violate something could i please talk to a dev about this in a private message? I remember on nostalrius there were certain rules with having so many accounts logged in on the same IP, but i didn't want to be registered as some gold selling bot or account spam creator so this is basically how i'm trying to make sure my IP isn't under any weird investigation that could lead to me being banned! Please get back to me!
