Just tamed him 22:00 server time on Elysium PvP after about 10 hours of invested time.
!Attention: respawn seems to be even shorter on Elysium PvP, got a confirmed respawn at 23:10 (just 1h 10min after I got mine)!
Here is what I would recommend.
step 1: get Cartographer and add spawn locations like on the screenshot in this thread.
step 2: get NPCscan Vanilla version (link: https://github.com/shirsig/npcscan) You need to manually add Lupos by typing "/npcscan Lupos"
step 3: if possible, camp between the two eastern spots (since you can check both at once), if not pick the least crowded one. At least on Elysium there are ?? Horde hunters on 2/4 spots most of the time.
tip 1: make sure your WDB folder is deleted, it seems like tame is not properly working at times (15 sec cast is finished and then nothing happens), make sure it works before camping Lupos!
tip 2: make sure you have AT LEAST 15x meat of some sort to feed Lupos. He will be hungry af.
Bonus: 2 stories of my adventure:
First time my macro hit Lupos, I kinda panicked, abondoned my best buddy pet (boar) instantly, ran right next to Lupos and tamed him. Turns out it was an already owned pet by some level 23 hunter that was also named Lupos -_- RIP
Second time, camping between the two eastern spawns my macro hits again, all of a sudden 4 hunters pull out of shadowmeld all running towards Lupos and start taming him. 0.5 secs before finishing my cast some douchebag pulls him out of range and starts kiting him like crazy, his pet still hitting him down to 5%. Then Lupos was resetting, ran back to his original spawn, everybody chasing him like crazy and throwing mana pots because of almost being OOM. Eventually a level 47 got lucky and tamed him in front of my eyes. What a let down!
